today i thought of tomura as a teenager and i made myself sad.

teen!tomura who takes drugs alone in his room for the first time, then vomits it all out (and kurogiri who takes care of him and promises not to tell afo as long as tomura promises to never do it again)

teen!tomura sitting in lessons with his private teacher and wondering what it might feel like to sit in a real classroom

teen!tomura who slowly unlearns how to cry over the years because it's weakness and he never wants to be weak again

teen!tomura who plays on his switch the entire night, then quickly hides it and pretends to sleep when kurogiri checks up on him (kurogiri just acts as if he doesn't notice the light beneath his pillow)

teen!tomura who tries cigarettes for the first time and grimaces at the taste

teen!tomura who winces when someone slams a door or talks too loud because sometimes, he still hears his father's voice echoing along with it

teen!tomura who feels a sting in his heart when he spots someone walking with their dog

teen!tomura who smiles a real and bright smile when he interacts with people online and in games

teen!tomura who has repeating nightmares and tries to avoid sleeping as much as possible by playing video games

teen!tomura who tries to keep his smile at bay when kurogiri makes his favourite food on his birthday

People are shy with their feedback. Sometimes it’s because they’re simply shy. Other times it’s because they assume you already know how great and talented you are. Could be both.

My point is, even if you barely have any likes or reblogs, don’t get discouraged. You have a lot of silent fans, but they are still your fans. Keep on creating. Because there is always someone out there who will love what you have made.
