ways to support the blm movement

this google doc includes a list of petitions to sign, resources to help educate yourself and others, organizations to donate to, and contacts of law officials to get in touch with to express your support for the george floyd and black lives matter movements. this includes ways to help even if you don’t live in america. please read it and support the movement. 

use your voice. use every platform you have, no matter how big or how small. nothing will change if you just sit there and watch. if you think you’re the exception, you’re not. remaining indifferent will only support the oppressor. do something.

write to your legal representatives. express your support for legislation that would bring justice to the unarmed civilians who’ve been murdered by law enforcement officers. demand for justice. 

call 612-324-4499 ㅡ this is a hotline that will coach you on how to get connected with the people who can arrest the officers that murdered george floyd. 

create serious conversation. stop demeaning people who disagree with your philosophies on how to overcome. it is useless and no better than the practices of the oppressor to silence. we need to listen to each other with respect and really consider how we can combine our perspectives to create practical change. 

please feel free to add any links or resources or information that you think will be helpful and also reblog to spread awareness. the systems we are fighting against were literally created to oppress marginalized communities and therefore will not go down without a fight. we need to collectively stand up and do something about it.

– honestly, it would be rare for him to even be fully interested in anyone given his affiliation to the league

– all his life, he’s known of temporary things and people

– until, that is, he meets you

– at first, he thinks you’re temporary, that you would eventually leave at one point

– at the beginning of your relationship, he’s quite distant???

– like, he’s there but not there at the same time

– if that makes sense

– he keeps his distance

– not only because he isn’t quite used to the idea of romance

– but also because he’s scared, which he denies even to himself

– how could someone like him be with someone like you?

– the fact that he has someone worth losing scares him to the bone

– it takes him awhile to fully grasp the fact that you love him genuinely

– by awhile i mean a few months

– but yes, once he gets over his initial doubts of himself with constant assurance, you can bet your ass he’s going to be on you

– he’ll gradually start opening up by his own pace

– little by little, he starts showing affection through subtle touches

– and soothingly rubbing the knuckles of your hand with his calloused touch

– likes it when you’re fully pressed against his chest

– like running his fingers through your hair and just inhaling your scent because he adores you that much

– he will bury his nose into the crook of your neck only to take a huge whiff of your scent

– and will just have this unnoticeable but dumb smile on his face

– he’s soft for you but he doesn’t want you to know it

– doesn’t mind being the smaller spoon honestly

– if anything, it makes dabi feel wanted and needed

– physical touch is one of the few things he is absolutely weak for

– draw tiny patterns on his skin, run your fingers through his hair, trace out the structure of his face

– heck, caress his scars and staples

– he’ll melt

– so yes, expect lots of cuddles in private or in public

– this burnt man needs some love

– whether its lazy and sloppy or heated and passionate, it’s a daily occurrence

– the type to start out completely sugary until his tongue decides to add up to it

– was never the type to kiss anyone in public until you showed up in his life

– which means, yes, making out even in public

– does he care?

– the type to grab your face and kiss you square on the lips

– the league is absolutely disgusted

– but also amused because who would have thought 

– again, his hands slip

– if you decide to tease him by refusing his tongue of access to yours, he won’t hesitate to squeeze your ass

– oh and he’s a sucker for jaw kisses

– pepper his jaw with kisses and you have him on his knees

– kiss his scars? 

– you got yourself a ring on that finger of yours

overall

– it takes time to earn his trust

– it’ll take months as mentioned, but it’s totally worth it

– his doubts never end though

– he’ll never admit to being scared of having someone worth losing

– but he will put effort

– love is one of the few things he was stripped off of

– but with someone who brings good to his once lonely life, expect this starved man to give his entirety to you

– he’s devoted like that

Or, maybe they could have just ran through the ankle-deep water from the beginning.

I genuinely don’t know if this is a plot hole, an animation compromise for simplicity, or just a gag the show doesn’t treat like gag… but whatever it is, I love it. 

PSA: Just a friendly reminder that whenever you start a creative project, you will invariably hit a phase where the Thing™️ appears horrendous and you start asking existential questions. But if you keep working, it invariably passes and starts to resemble something less like the devil’s vomit. Doesn’t matter if it’s art, writing, or what–this happens repeatedly. Carry on.

running out of ideas, really. also i am currently watching banana fish, i already finished the half of it and i already cried like a baby👁️💧👄💧👁️

rewatching lotr, and rewatched the hobbit trilogy like 2 weeks ago, and i must say. i love this franchise for all its “i knew a guy who knew a guy” relations. like to give just one example, gimli presumes for a second, like the whole fellowship, that frodo got injured by the cave troll in moria. but he’s actually just fine! because frodo just happens to be gimli’s dad’s boss’s situationship’s nephew, and therefore has the mithril shirt that gimli’s dad’s boss gave to his situationship right before gimli’s dad’s boss led the company to battle against, among others, legolas’s dad. legolas’s old situationship from like last year (60 years ago) was also there and chose, get this, gimli’s dad’s boss’s nephew over him. i love yall
