Fortunately, they blow up the inflatable hotdog/rotund boomerang…

…and paddle away to safety!

Whew! That was a close one… good thing somethin’ that floats just happened to be–

Or, maybe they could have just ran through the ankle-deep water from the beginning.

I genuinely don’t know if this is a plot hole, an animation compromise for simplicity, or just a gag the show doesn’t treat like gag… but whatever it is, I love it.
