HOLD UP! LuckyBoy!au coffee shop au?? I Am IN LOVE and now I need a Benrook fic cause all Rook’s late night watches obviously leaves him exhausted and tired and this cute little cafe just opened up around the corner that serves great coffee and the barista is hella cute. Ben recognises him of course but they start to talk and they get closer and then one day Rook start ranting about this vigilante and Ben is listening just trying not to laugh, one because he’s adorable and two, now he knows how to annoy him so much more. And Rook just keeps going back to spend time with Ben and maybe a villain starts to take notice and tries to attack the cafe. Rook is pissed but not as much as Ben (who absolutely loves the place) and before Rook can move, Ben is defending the shop with is bare hands and Rook just freezes and watches because he knows those moves. Suddenly everything he thinks of this vigilante being a bad guy must be wrong because he knows Ben now, and this guy cries watching Disney movies and adopts every stray animal he comes across and has a heart of gold and maybe he starts helping him make a get away when the plumbers corner him and I just... uhhhhhh, that’s so cool and amazing and I love you au so much!!! And your artwork is beautiful!

I like how it builds up their relationship a bit. I wouldn't say Ben is as golden as you think. Ben's a flawed character, as are all characters
I do like the idea of how Rook discovers Ben too, I'll play around with it maybe.

Lucky boy AU! question, Considering all the neon and potential glitter that Ben has in his vigilante disguise, how does he put it all on and off, and how long does it take each time? Also, how does this effect his school life with all the nightstakeouts? Would he be extra cautious with all of the stuff he keeps hidden from his family? And would there be times where he slips out a detail or 2, or almost get caught but not quite and manages to save himself?
Also, his vigilante name could be perhaps Nyan Cat? reference to a meme and videogame, cringy enough to be silly and funny at the same time, and the only thing that he would be missing would be the poptart... He could very well leave poptart stickers once he finishes a job as a signature of his, as long as he has a way to make them steadily XD
Ok so had to draw some things cause I work best when I have visuals. And of course I have to create the content I wish to consume... sigh...
First part about his disguise: So I was thinking something simple like how he turns into an alien, just a quick flash of light and POOF. Magical boy. Lazy animation as an example. (might clean it up as some point, it’s my career, i’m just lazy)
It saves a lot of time to be honest. Plus I like to consider things from the perspective on an animator. Yes you could recycle the same ol’ magical girl dressup sequence each episode... BUT! Where’s the visual interest?? Ben is Extra flashy in all ways shapes and forms, so I’ll make sure I can portray it the best I can. Also I just think it’s funny that he just disappears only to reappear in a magenta explosion shortly after.
Second part: School? disgusting! Just kidding. Honestly I wasn’t thinking about school life, it’s way too common for super heros to be in school, so I was just gonna say they’re all adults in this. Or at least out of school. As great as it is to have the whole highschool drama/super hero life thing. It’s just overdone to the maximum.
School is traumatic, I’m already putting this guy through enough shit.
I was thinking Ben has moved out at this point and works part time- or casually--- do americans do casual work? is that a thing over there? -- Just to keep himself off the streets, he’s either living in a small apartment in Bellwood, or Undertown- In his room he’s got this nifty little portal to get to Undertown- makes things convenient.
As for his parents, they know not of his vigilante life- and of course, the loving parents they are, will always pay surprise visits to make sure Ben is doing well. Many times his mum has tried to slip him $20 behind her husbands back. To which Carl does the exact same, but with $50 instead. He rejects their money most of the time, unless he’s absolutely desperate- groceries don’t buy themselves.
Sometimes during their surprise visits they see an odd bruise/cut or 2. They hound him for answers and he always gives a smooth lie- whilst trying to hide his tell-tail twitching eye. “Oh I slipped on a puddle at work” “cut myself while cooking” “Fell down the stairs” “Fell asleep on the bus and bumped my head extra hard” etc, etc.
Max has also paid a visit or two unexpectedly. Ben, at that point tried to hide his very broken arm- (healing spells are exhausting and shouldn't be used often with broken bones because they might not heal correctly) - Almost got caught, but fortunately his cool demeaner fooled Max... or did it?
So I love the idea with the stickers. I imagine that Ben being the shit he is, slaps a large glowing sticker over his enemies head, either magenta or toxic green. He uses them as a beacon to lure plumbers to the area (Like Rook, who is both surprised yet delighted to find most crooks are being taken care of. He can’t shake the feeling that maybe what he’s been told about this vigilante might be false.)
To add further insult to injury Ben likes to make an extra flashy display of his escape, usually saying something like “Ciao!” or “Au Revoir, loser!” with a peace sign to accompany him.
As for how he gets the stickers, he makes them, very cheaply, he draws them, uses sticky tape to make it shiny and enhances them with mana, also uses a good spell to keep them stuck to the wall- permanently- but the glow fades after a day. The plumbers don’t usually do anything about graffiti, but, the amount of those stickers found on their vehicles... it’s enough to almost tempt them into throwing Ben in the Null Void.
I’m less keen about using Nyan Cat, I mean it’s great but like- i dunno we already have Nyancy Chan. But I like where you’re going with this.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with the thought of J0nat/han and Sp33dWag0n traveling to go and fight D10, spending time together and roughing it outdoors as they travel.
More specifically though, I’ve been thinking about poor J0nath/an having many gassy issues on this trip. He’s used to a life of pure luxury, not eating sloppy greasy dinners over a campfire!
With his size and strength, his farts are just as powerful, and he’s so embarrassed as he tries to hold it until Sp33dWag0n is at least asleep. Just imagining such a strong man curled over next to his pal in bed, his hole quivering so desperately to release a surely deep and brassy fart that will make both of them need to get up from their sleeping bags. He needs to push it out so bad, but he’s a gentleman, he can’t do that!
Bonus points if Sp33d pretends to fall asleep so he can enjoy the sounds of his mate groaning and whining as he presses on his taut belly and let’s out deep, rumbling farts that stink so badly from his recent diet...
