never beating the sleepy allegations. they’re snoozin’
for the doodle prompt “inspired by eddiediazes request and also aisha’s IG stories i would love you if you doodled buck and eddie napping together at the station 🥺” from @dancing-mylife-away
i finally realised why buck’s face during the “you act like you’re expendable…but you’re wrong” moment gets to me so much: he doesn’t look like buck.
he looks like evan
the face he makes is so similar to the way buck looks at maddie in the flashbacks in buck begins. young and wide-eyed and so, so vulnerable. like we’ve talked ad nauseam about how oliver managed to make himself appear so young in buck begins with his mannerism and idk how deliberately he was thinking about paralleling that in this specific scene but i think there’s something a little beautiful about it because well.
eddie isn’t saying that for buck’s benefit. he’s saying it for evan’s. and for those few seconds buck is able to be at his most vulnerable. he’s able to be evan again bc evan is safe with eddie, y’know?????? i need to go
Buck and Eddie really are the epitome of “this love isn’t unrequited they’re just idiots” 😭😭
Ignoring the obvious warning signs in their relationships because they think being together isn’t an option 😭😭
We are always told that fire is dangerous
And yet the most beautiful things are born from the ashes
My mind
the way buck is so proud about his idea to not buy a new couch and to commit to just having the armchair makes me just. so sad. like he’s so happy to finally feel like he’s making a good choice, the right choice, because he only ever seems to fail and this (committing to being alone and prioritizing his career instead) seems like finally something he is doing right. but it’s just so wrong and is obviously primarily coming from a place of deep anxiety about being a failure and never enough and im :)) not doing well
the thing about the way that eddie talks is that he doesn’t leave room for doubt or misinterpretation when it comes to telling buck exactly what role he has in the diaz boys’ lives. “there’s no one else I trust more with my son.” “no one else will fight for my son as hard as you.” “that’s what I want for him.”
it’s not “I trust you” or “I appreciate how much you love my son”, no. eddie has told Buck over and over again that he’s his number one.
netflix daredevil is so good to me bc even tho matt does has heightened senses, he’s very human. no super speed, no super strength, no super healing. he goes out every single night and bleeds for his city. and he’s not the only one. it’s claire working in one of the most dangerous hospitals. its ben urich spending decades writing exposes. it’s karen standing up against union allied even tho it put a mark on her head. it’s foggy walking into a biker gang bar in search of the truth & constantly putting his career and safety on the line for the little guy. it’s brett risking his job and his life by being a clean cop. daredevil is a collection of small glimmers of hope and strength emerging in response to fear
#MCU Women: Suit Up.
This scene!! MY GOD IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL! Like the fact that he looks like he’s rising instead of falling! The glass shattering when he jumps. The music. That little smile at the end! Mannn this movie is a masterpiece! But this scene?! CHILLS literal chills!
Leap of faith
The autism in Jamie Tartt in todays episode was showing!
The stimming when he was upset. The flapping his hands. Not knowing how he’s feeling or why. The chewing on his hoodie strings. The need for comfort from people he trusts. All of it.
It’s just very clear this episode. And I kinda love it. It just furthers my head cannon.
