Pair: Nelson (Grizzy) x Fem! Reader

Leaning against the counter, Kaia laughs at something Grizzy said on his stream. Even after only meeting the man once, she could tell he was genuinely a goofball, and she wanted to hang out with him more.Her phone dinging broke her out of her trance she had been in with her own thoughts, sending her away fully from the current situation, making her put down the spoon of peanut butter she had been giving to Sol. She checked the notification, and it was an alarm from her twitch app, telling her it was time to stream. It had felt like months since she had streamed, but she wanted to follow the schedule she had set a few years ago when the world came crashing down- when Covid had risen, and down came the pillars of many communities,her social life included. Cracking her neck, she grabs the spoon and puts it back in the sink, finding the lid of the peanut butter and screwing it back on, kissing Sol’s head before she makes her way to her room, phone and unnecessarily large water bottle in tow.  Gotta make sure you’re hydrated, at least. She makes sure all the chords under her desk are connected, before she shoots a quick text to Nelson to ask if he wanted to stream together. If not, she had a back up plan, just playing some Sims for a few hours, then doing a game with Aches, probably a couple rounds of COD, or Doors on roblox.

She sets everything up, testing if her mic is working, that her camera’s working, and she sets up her stream, having her music going in the background. ‘Sex, drugs, ect’ by Beach Weather playing, and her screen saying ‘stream starts soon :)’ with a purple background and her twitch avatar  on it. When her phone dings with a pop up saying she had a message, she puts off starting her stream for a few minutes to check it. Opening the notification, Nelson’s icon popped up, saying the incoming message was from him. 

‘Hey yeah I'm down. Just lmk what we’re playing’ Came the messages, and a smile goes over her face. A very unnatural smile for her. She tries to push off the fact that the last time she smiled like this was months ago. She joins a discord call Nelson had started in their DM’s. The two had mostly communicated over text, but discord was a lot easier to use when it came to video chatting and streaming together.  “Hey my dude. How are you?” She asks as she opens steam, trying to find a horror game either they could play, or one could play while watching. “Wow so that’s what we doin’” Came his voice over the discord call and she lets out a laugh, knowing he was fucking with her. “Yes, that’s what we’re doin’ today Grizwaldo.” She says back, scrolling through steam to find a good horror game.

“So…Wanna play a horror game, something funny..orr?” Her voice was soft, mostly quiet since she wasn’t on stream yet, and didn’t have her moments. “Roblox.” She laughs at how excited he seemed for a Roblox game. “Pezzy’s rubbing off on you Griz, You just sounded excited for a roblox game.” “Mm nuh-uh” He says with a laugh, setting up his stream as she scrolls through Roblox horror games. “Wanna play doors?” She asks as her mouse hovers over the ‘play’ button on Doors, waiting for his response. She was worried she was overstepping, since he usually played Doors with Pezzy or Aches. “Do I have to?” He laughed into his mic, but had already pulled it up on his end, joining a random server. “Join me” He says, wiggling his mouse as he waits for it to load properly. 

She rolls her eyes a little, “needy much?” She states into her mic, but she hums after a second. “Let me start my stream first, and then I’ll hop in” She presses ‘start stream’, waving to her camera as she leans back. “Hey guys” She says with a smile, and she laughs when Grizzy forgot to mute his mic as he addressed his own stream. “Griz, Your mic” She says, leaning towards her mic with a laugh. She hears a small ‘oh shit’ from his side, before hearing the tone beep of a mic muting. She smiles a little, before she addresses her stream rather than Grizzy again. “As you guys could clearly hear, me and Grizzy are streaming together, yay, let's pray we don’t kill each other.” She hears the obvious tone beep of a mic unmuting  “Hey! I’m a fucking delight” He laughs out, obviously not offended by the words.She laughs as he mutes his mic again, a small smile playing her lips and she hums as she keeps talking with her chat, knowing he was getting his game and everything set up.

“We’re gonna be playing Doors, as long as Grizzy doesn’t chicken out” She joins his server, clicking her nails on her desk as she waits for it to load, the wifi being slow. “Let's all cross our fingers as we wait for my slow ass internet” She says to her chat, her eyes flicking through the chat, and her eyes snagged on one chatter who had said ‘who’s that behind you?’

“Guys, I’m not falling for that. There’s no one behind me” She rolls her eyes, starting to go into an elevator for the game “Grizzy. Get in the elevator” She laughs at the man spinning in circles “Which one?” Came his confused retort. “The one behind you dumbass” “oh yeah, cuz thats so fucking helpful” He replied, his character running into the elevator with her.

“I knew it would be. You’re welcome.” She rolls her eyes, selecting a lockpick and the pills, before her character steps out of the elevator. “What’s your highest level on here?” She asks as her character ducks down to get the key for the first room, standing and going to the door as Grizzy opens a bunch of the drawers. “I think me and Pezzy went up to 100,that was a few years ago though” Came his reply, and she chuckles gently with a nod, so focused on the game she didn’t check chat, who were all spamming about someone behind her.

Taking a break a few minutes later, she takes a drink of her water, her eyes flicking to chat. At that exact minute, Grizzy had pulled up her stream to check where she was, since he hadn’t been able to find her, and he saw a guy behind her, A dog at his feet. “Hey uh, Kaia? Remember that chatter who said there was someone behind you?” She nods to his question, still drinking water. “They weren’t lying.” Right away, his tone told her he wasn’t lying. She slowly takes off her headphones, turning in her seat, her body tensing as she sees...him.
