the fact Amber was the one who didn’t want this trial to happen, but Johnny Depp didn’t give up. he knows he has nothing to hide, because he has what she doesn’t: the truth.
real people being partially closeted or ambiguous about their own sexuality while making Gay Art is not queerbaiting
So the results of the Depp vs Heard case has unfortunately revealed to me that a few of the people I follow (a few of them for a very long time) are Heard supporters and the posts they reblog are along the lines of “it’s bad and will discourage victims from coming forward” while completely ignoring how it will be empowering for male victims who have largely been suffering in silence.
And it’s made me really think about an unfortunate fallacy in people’s thinking when it comes to various buzz phrases and buzz words used when talking about victims of abuse.
“Believe all women.”
Uh… no. A noble idea on the surface, but as has clearly been seen with Depp and Heard, that ideology is just opening the door for female perpetrators of abuse to take advantage of other people’s good will and desire to help victims.
Emphasis on LISTEN. Not believe. You should never, EVER just believe someone blindly. Especially in something as serious as abuse allegations. But you should always be willing to LISTEN. Take the time to see what evidence comes forward. See what a judge and jury say if the allegations ever make it that far.
Blind belief is putting yourself at risk of being taken advantage of by people who have no qualms with lying through their teeth and telling you everything they think you want to hear.
Ok, so here’s my take on Hozier and his band wearing Catrín/Catrina makeup (I’m a Mexican living in Mexico, so yeah, I can talk abou this, just in case anyone was wondering):
I’m not gonna lie. My first reaction was “oh, he looks so good, he’s beautiful,” etc. But a feeling of discomfort was still there.
Here’s what he said about the painting at his concert:
I think he did it with respect and admiration, but… he could’ve done it better. He could’ve metioned Mexico explicitly, or Día de Muertos (I also think it was a mistake to do this on Halloween, ‘cause Día de Muertos isn’t Halloween’s equivalent or just a costume, it’s a culture and a tradition which is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd.) I’m not really mad at him, but I understand the anger and sadness of other Mexican fans. He could’ve done it better.
What REALLY bothers me is people saying “nice Halloween costume!,” ‘cause that’s sheer ignorance. I’m also bothered by people who say we’re “overreacting” or “it’s not that serious.” IT IS. As I said before, that’s OUR culture. It’s a big fucking deal to us. FUCK OFF if you’re saying shit like that.
I don’t think he’s gonna say something about this, but it’d be great if he ever does. He could use his plataforms to educate people, especially American ones (yeah, sorry but that’s the truth), and it really makes me sad to know that’s probably not gonna happen.
Greta Thunberg x Only the Young
After a shitty 5 months things are starting to look good... I have an audition to be a singer at a cruise, any suggestions on what I could sing? I have no idea the kind of music they play at cruise ships 😅

I'm kinda meh about roof gardens/ grass roofs bc they can accumulate a lot of weight and collapse/ cause leaks
But living walls? Mighty sexy
They provide natural insulation, which not only keeps the heat in during cold days, but keeps the heat out during hot ones. It's better planned and maintained than vines (depending on the plant ofc).
Flooding in urban areas can be reduced since the roots and the growing medium will hold in moisture. Air can be purified, and heat can be reduced because of evaporation.
I just love living walls
On June 1st 2022, Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day, John Christopher Depp II won a defamation lawsuit proving his innocence, and rightfully condemning his abuser. Today is a good day.
Cheers to everyone who fought for the truth, may this be the start of a new chapter in the lives of victims and their journey to justice.
But I would actually be fine being stuck in a luxurious 20 million dollar mansion with a large pool, a tennis court and an elaborate garden maze for months on end.
It’s like when that prosecutor argued against house arrest for Felicity Huffman and showed a picture of her massive house: “Not being allowed to leave here is a punishment!?”
Can I get a 30 second rundown of what an ecofachist is? I don't know and you seem two. And I'm a bit nerveuse now
Ecofascism is a form of fascism centered around the earth and nature. It's very heavily based around the idea that humanity is bad for the planet (or, more commonly, that certain groups of humans— namely Jewish people— are bad) and that modern society is "degraded" because we've moved away from nature and tradition.
That "tradition" is almost always centered around the idea of a white cishet couple running a farm with their pristine white children, where the man does all the work and the woman stays at home, cleaning and cooking and making jam and popping out babies.
Ecofascism is actually really prevalent in society in other forms though, especially in the idea that mass death is needed to preserve the environment. You know those groups of people who claim that the Earth can't sustain all humans and so some people have to die? Who say that war is good because it "culls the human population"? Who claim that the planet is overpopulated and that's why there's people starving and dying, as opposed to them dying because of artificial shortages of food and water created by capitalists? Those are a type of ecofascist.
A few other dog whistles to look out for:
"Blood and soil": A literal Nazi phrase that Nationalist ecofascism was built on.
"Reject modernity": Got into this already, but it's about how society is supposedly degraded, usually referring to urban areas and the rise of multiculturalism; can almost always be tied to antisemitism.
Traditionalism/tribalism: Two idealogies built on isolation, individualism, and rejection of perceived outsiders. Very against immigration and multiculturalism.
