I'm just a girl ð
Hey sweetheart! ð I hope I can ask for an Elijah Mikaelson imagine where you both fell in love during the events in Mystic Falls, even though he never wanted to show feelings again, but he couldn't help when he met you. So you started dating and he's always making sure you're okay and it's all just great. That changes when Klaus comes to town and sees you with Elijah. He kidnaps you to hurt his brother and Elijah gets furious. He finds you, but you're pretty hurt and barely alive, so he needs to make a decision and turns you in the end. After you wake up he's there for you and promises to be with you forever and you're accepting your new life ?
Hope this is okay with you ð«¶ðŒ
He was going to be your downfall. You already knew that, but what you didnât expect was for youâre fate to be in his brothers hands.
âËâ¿Ë° Thank you for the request my love @talesofreading ! I literally spent days working on this for you so i sincerely hope you love and enjoy every second of it. I also left it open for a second part of you wish <3 âËâ¿Ë°

You had grown up in mystic falls youâre whole life, the quiet town where nothing ever happened. Well that was bullshit, the whole town crawled with the worlds most dangerous creatures. You had found out about Vampires after your best friend Elena started dating Stefan Salvatore then you heard about his less charming douche bag brother Damon and decided to stay away from them as a whole. Subsequently because Elena and you had been attached at the hip since preschool you didnât have to interact with them but you sure did get filled in on all the gossip. Which was why you were currently in the car on your way to the lockwood mansion with her. Apparently the latter were on a mission to kill elenaâs freako look alike great something grandma.
âthis sucksâ you said looking over at Elena who was driving the car â âwe literally live in a town of vampires, werewolfâs and witches and the two of us are just humanâ you added
âyeah well i think iâd rather be human than a vampireâ Elena declared stubbornly
âyou know i think i have to agree because we both know that Stefan and Damon are going to do a terrible job at killing Katherine and if you were a vampire i think sheâd make your life eternally miserableâ you responded just as you pulled up to the Lockwood mansion. âi am so not dressed for the occasionâ you muttered under your breath eyeing your oversized sweatpants and spaghetti strap tang top, you barley had time to put your shoes on before Elena was pulling you out of the house. you wrapped your arms around your body as Elena pulled you through crowds of people into the mansion. You and Elena quickly found bonnie and Jeremy quietly talking amongst themselves in the corner. Unfortunately you couldnât get yourself to care about the conversation going on in front of you mainly because of the chill running down your spine at the sight of a man in a jester mask staring right back at you. You blinked and the man was gone just as Elena cried out in pain.
~~~~
âI canât believe Katherine did that to youâ you rushed as you tried to keep up with Elena. The night had only gotten worse and when everything was said and done Elena was a bloody mess and you were freezing.
âhonestly, iâm surprised you think she wouldnât do this to meâ Elena retorted storming to her car.
you followed closely behind, âokay well donât get mad with me itâs not my fault that you almost diedâ you argued back crossing your arms over your chest. âiâm sorry okay? itâs just⊠sheâs only doing this because sheâs in love with Stefanâ Elena sighed.
you saw the same man from earlier with the jester mask walk up behind Elena. Youâre eyes widened in worry âElena watch outâ you yelled as you ran forward to push the man away from your friend. He grabbed you and threw you against the car slamming your head into the door.
~~~
When you wake up the first thing you notice is the rope around your arms and legs. You quickly try to get out of them but fail miserably.
âStop trying to get out of the ropes. Itâll never workâ a brunette said as she walked into the room. âwho are you?â you asked flinching as she walked towards you and bent down.
âmy names rose.â she responded voice dead âyou werenât supposed to be with the girlâ she said sadly, undoing your restraints.
âwhere is Elena, what do you want with herâ you shook as you replied.
âitâs not what we want. itâs what he wantsâ she said as she looked away from you â âwhoâs he?â you asked lowly, she moved her head back to face you and replied âElijahâ
~~~
âoh my god youâre okayâ Elena said as she rushed towards you when rose took you into the other room. âyea iâm okay lenaâ you smiled sadly.
âheâs here. this was a mistakeâ a man rushed out as he paced around the room. âTrevor in order to get our freedom we must give him the girl. This is no mistakeâ the woman demanded grabbing the man to a stop. âI will bring him here, watch the girls.â she asserted as she walked out of the room.
âIâm not going to make it out of here am i?â you sighed trying to fight the tears in your eyes as you looked forward towards the covered up windows.
âhey, no donât say that. Iâm going to do everything i can to make sure we both get out here aliveâ Elena reassured you as she held you, you rested your head on her shoulder and sighed out a breath. The weight of this situation coming crashing down on you. While you both were human, Elena was more important to the supernatural world than you would ever be. You also knew if it came down to it Stefan and Damon would leave you to die if it meant saving her. You didnât resent her for that, you were happy she had somebody who would do anything for her, you just wished you had someone who would do the same for you.
Your head snapped up at the sound of footsteps, your breathing became shallow as Elena pulled you onto your feet with her. You were terrified, you had no idea who Elijah was and from roses reaction to him you could tell he probably wasnât going to be a saint.
In the blink of an eye you were throw behind Elenaâs back as a man took place in front of her. You saw what you would say was the most handsome man youâd ever seen. You kicked yourself. you shouldnât be thinking that when your best friends life was on the line, but you couldnât help but notice the way his hair fell perfectly down around his handsome face, the powerful stance in which he stood. You noted he was dressed in a suit which probably cost more than your whole life together. His eyes drew you in from behind Elena and you couldnât look away. If this was the way you went out you wouldnât complain.
âhuman. Itâs impossibleâ he breathed out in shock. âhello thereâ he smirked, you noticed his gaze went past Elena and right into your eyes. He was talking to you. why would he be talking to you? You felt your heartbeat quicken and you were sure youâd held your breath way beyond your lungs capability. You quickly shifted your gaze downwards biting your lip, suddenly remembering your lack of clothing moving closer to Elena.
âwe have a long journey ahead of us we should be goingâ Elijah says grabbing Elenaâs arm and turning them around.
âAnd the girl? What should we do with her.â Rose asked from across the room.
Elijahâs gaze moved to meet yours again. âleave her be. Do not harm her.â he ordered rose.
Elena looked at you with a pleading look before crying out towards rose âplease, donât let him take me.â
Elijah let go of Elenaâs arm pushing her towards rose. âone last piece of business before we goâ
Elijah stalks towards Trevor who shrinks down in fear âyou have no idea how long iâve waited for this dayâ he sputtered out. You noticed how Elijah held such an air of power around himself. You wondered how old he was, surely he was a vampire. You tuned out the rest of the conversation watching as Elijah ruled the two vampires in the room with just his presence. You suddenly hear rose cry out in sorrow as Elijah smacks Trevorâs head clean from his body. You noticed that Elijah had moved his body so he was in front of you, like he was intentionally blocking you from the scene in front. Your face paled as he grabbed both you and Elena dragging you to the front of the house. âwho else is hereâ he demanded towards rose who shook her head âno oneâ
His grip tightened around your arm as he pushed Elena towards rose keeping you firmly planted next to him. Damon and Stefan were playing games with him. That probably wasnât a smart idea you thought. You felt your body being ripped away from Elijahâs grasp and slammed up against a wall. Your head hitting the wall hard. Too hard. You cried out in pain and shook as the dizziness came in waves until everything went black.
~~~
When you woke up you took note of the fact you were still in the house, except it was night time now. You brushed the dirt off of your pants as you stood up and looked around. âElenaâŠâ you yelled out wincing when you remembered that probably wasnât a good idea. You were answered back with silence as you made your way towards the front of the stairs. You gasped as your eyes landed on a very dead Elijah, you walked quietly towards his seemingly sleeping body. Just as you reached out to pull the coat rack from his body he awoke with a gasp of his own. Anger displayed upon his face as he ripped the coat rack from his chest and threw it across the room at a very inhuman speed. He cracked his neck and fixed his jacket before his gaze landed on you.
âwhat did you do?â he roared taking large steps towards you. For every one step he took you had to take three steps back. âi â i didnât do anythingâ you felt your face pale and mouth dry with fear. ây â you were deadâ you stuttered trying to look anywhere but his angry eyes. âfor centuries now. where did the girl go?â he demanded looking you up and down as if he was trying to decide what to do with you. âi really donât know, i just woke up on the floor. Iâm assuming Stefan and Damon took her⊠they left me, no way they actually left me hereâ you rambled out as your back hit the wall. You realized you had nowhere to go as Elijahâs frame blocked you in. You noticed how tall he was, you had always been short it didnât take much for someone to be taller than you, but Elijah; he was tall. You stood just below his shoulders, your small frame feeling even smaller as he stood in front of you.
âwhat wonderful friends you haveâ he implied looking down from your eyes to your neck where he could see the blood rushing between your veins. âthey arenât my friends. only elena isâ you mumbled shifting on your feet. âhm. we should get going thenâ he declared swiftly pulling his jacket from his shoulders and holding it out to you.
~~
âdo you always kidnap teenage girls?â you asked looking out of the window in Elijahâs car and wrapping his jacket tighter around. âdo you consider this kidnapping?â he asked with a cocked head. âyes i do.â you stated firmly looking over at him âdo you not?â. he looked fully at you now, âi consider this me doing you a favor, saving a poor defenseless girl from an abandoned home, to which your own friends didnât save you from. Now i could have done what i originally intended and drained every single drop of blood from your body and left you there, but i didnât. So No i would not say this is considered kidnappingâ he replied putting his eyes back on the road. âwhy didnât you kill me?â you pondered fidgeting with your fingers in your lap. you noticed his fingers tightened their grip around the steering wheel as he said âthereâs something awfully interesting about you.â
~~
From that moment on you and Elijah had been inseparable. He told you about his desire to not be seen in mystic falls just yet. So you returned home and acted as if some friendly stranger gave you a ride home.
It hadnât taken long for you to fall head over heels for Elijah, but you noticed his hesitance when it came to you. How he never shared too much about himself. How he absolutely insisted you never speak of him to anyone, as if he was scared. You had learned he was one of the oldest vampires to ever exist. A thousand years old, he was strong, and wise and he surely had a copious amount of enemies. You knew all of that should have scared you away but you found it only intriguing you more and more each day. He handled you with such care, as if the smallest of things would break you and heâd lose you forever. Yet he never said what you wanted him to say.
It had been weeks since the day in the abandoned house and Elijah had finally made his presence known to mystic falls. You especially enjoyed pretending you didnât spend all your time with the man. You knew in your gut Elijah feels the same way about you that you do him. It was just getting him to act on it that proved to be hard.
When you saw him at the founders party all dressed in his grey suit and hair slicked back, you didnât care who noticed you decided that you had had enough of pining over him.
âso, Mr. Smith?â you quoted raising your champagne glass to your lips to hide your smile. ânot everyone can be privy to my actual identity sweetheartâ he replied looking down at you. You noticed his eyes raking over your form. âyou look absolutely astonishing tonightâ he said voice husky as his gaze returned to yours. You almost moaned at the tone of his voice. This was what you meant, you knew he was attracted to you but he never acted on it. You figured your best bet would be to show him what he was missing. âdo i?â you questioned him with a smile âi thought youâd like this dressâ you winked at him as his eyes darkened. âI didnât think you would be bold enough to test your little theory hereâ he smiled licking his lips before raising his glass of champagne. âwhat theory would that be?â you pushed trying to get him to say it for himself but before he could answer a hand wrapped around your shoulder.
âFancy seeing you here, my, my you look amazingâ Damon stated, you winced out of his grasp moving away from him. You noticed the deadly look on Elijahâs face as he stared Damon down. âDamon i do believe itâs time we have a chat just the two of usâ he said through gritted teeth. The two disappearing upstairs before you could say anything
~~
You sat a the bar picking at the fruit tray when Elijah approached you again. âIâm sorry sweetheart, i had to take care of somethingâ he said moving to stand behind you. âdid you kill himâ you accused taking a bite out of a strawberry. âNo i did not, I should have.â he replied turning you in your seat so you were facing him. âwhyâ you questioned looking up at him. âbecause i do not like the idea of him ever looking at you again.â Elijah moved his head down so he was level with your ear, âor anyone for that matterâ he muttered moving your hair out of the way, inhaling your scent. âi know this is what you want, itâs what i want too. But it would be selfish of me to subject you to the life i live.â he confessed before he grabbed you and in the blink of an eye you were in a different room. âyou donât get to decide whatâs right or wrong for me Elijahâ you argued back pulling out of his embrace. âwhy are you scared, I know itâs not the reason you just gave. I know that because for months i have been living as apart of your life, i know you think giving me some noble reason will deter me from continuing this but it wonât, so whatâs the real reason?â you semi shouted at him, you were angry and you had every right to be. Heâd been playing that game since the day you met him, where he acted as if he wanted you and then decided he couldnât be with you. âBecause i have lost every single person i have ever loved!â he roared back with tears in his eyes âi have had every person i have ever cared for ripped away from me, for a millennium i have been dealt constant heartbreak. I would be a fool if i left myself care for another being ever again, and i would be eternally selfish if i let you in and you died at the hand of my enemies.. or worse me. But you have infiltrated my very being, every thought, every feeling is because of you, so i cannot just let you walk away, because no where is far enough for me to not crave you, youâre scent is engraved in my senses and i cannot stop it.â he confessed moving toward you, he lifted his arm and ran his knuckles down your face as he gazed lovingly into your eyes. you leaned into his hand and looked up at him through your eyelashes. He was staring at your lips, this was new heâd never done that before. Elijah leaned down until his lips were just above your own âcan i kiss youâ he asked against your lips. You nodded your head vigorously as he entwined his lips with yours. His lips are softer than anything youâve ever known. The feeling in your chest was explosive, spreading all throughout your body. He tilted your head upward biting your lip in the process. you let out a moan of approval, moving your hands to lay underneath his suit jacket. You could feel every inch of his muscles tensing underneath your touch. You loved it, craved for more. His hand moved from your face into your hair, bunching it up and pulling you closer to him. You loved every second of this moment, how raw and beautiful it truly was.
When Elijah pulled away from the kiss he rested his forehead on yours, out of breath you closed your eyes.
~~
Elijah had entrusted you with the secret of the curse placed upon his brother Klaus. You were sleeping one night when he came to see you, telling you that Elena would need to be sacrificed in order for him to kill his brother. Of course you asked him if he was sure he wanted to do this and he was. So tonight he was attending a dinner party at the Salvatore mansion in order to keep and eye on Damon. You had told him you thought it was a bad idea, that you got a bad feeling from it, but he insisted he would be alright. Now it was two days later and you hadnât heard or seen from him. You were currently on a mission to find him when you entered the Salvatore mansion to find all your so called friends having some type of meeting. âwhere is Elijahâ you announced as you walked in. âso you are sleeping with himâ Damon said back smirking as he turned around to face her. âYeah Damon i am, you know if you were going to have such an issue with it maybe you shouldnât have left me for deadâ you said walking more into the room. âwell heâs not here, so no need for you to be here any longerâ he dismissed her. You looked at Elena over his shoulder meeting her gaze. She quickly moved her eyes towards the basement door. You nodded your head and turned to walk away when Alaric called out to you. âhey wait upâ he called after you following you outside.
âyouâve literally never talked to me before Alaric, so unless your going to tell me where Elijah is donât start nowâ you said not stopping your stride heading to your car.
âcmon now love i just wanted a chat. seems we have to do this the hard wayâ Alaric replied grabbing your arm and slamming your head into your car window.
~~~
you awoke to a shooting pain in your side as you stirred. âwelcome back to the land of the living loveâ a man said crouching in-front of you âiâm getting really tired of people knocking me outâ you murmured groggily.
âah yes, you see iâve heard my brother was plotting my demise, and since iâve got more at stake than him i figured an eye for an eye.â klaus said reaching to grab something above your head. His hand returned with a knife, your eyes widened as he covered your mouth and stabbed you in the thigh as your screams muffled. ânow living for a thousand years you learn a few things about torture. except your human and you canât handle as much as iâd like.â he said twisting the knife, the pain you felt was white hot and expanded through your whole body. âSo iâll resort to draining all but a drop of blood from you until Elijah comes to find you.â he said with a wicked smirk, grabbing your hair and tilting your head back. His whole face changed, you remember seeing Elijahâs vampire face which you loved but Klausâ was just outright scary. You felt his sharp teeth rip into your carotid artery, you felt every drop of blood leave your body. The excruciating pain of his teeth in your skin. You head felt heavy as it rolled to the side when he finally pulled away. âcmon love the games are just beginning.â he taunted.
~~
when Elijah had woken the first thing he demanded of Elena was to bring him to you. When she failed to find you red flags raised in his mind. You would never disappear and all he could think was you had hurt yourself in the process of trying to find him. what he wasnât expecting was for his brother to have taken you captive. when Elijah found you, you were a bloody mess. Crimson red everywhere, you say in your own puddle of blood. Shallow breathing was all he heard as he rushed forward and held your face in his hand. âmy loveâ he whispered trying to wake you up.
You failed to wake up after the fifth time he tried. You had bruises and cuts all over you. The wounds on your thighs bleeding the most. When you whimpered in response to him shifting you he was glad for a sign you were alive.
âElijahâ you cried out unable to move âi canât it hurts so muchâ you reached out to grab his arm as he picked you up and speed the two of you to his apartment.
âiâm so sorry my loveâ he cried as he held your hand. âfor what?â you asked weakly wiping his tears away from his eyes. âfor not protecting you. I can give you my blood and it will heal you.âhe said moving your body to lay down. in the process of moving you the wounds he had patched in your thighs had opened, resulting in you losing blood. Again you had become faint and in and out of consciousness.
Elijah had managed to get his blood down your throat but he knew he would lose you. he had waited to long to feed it to you. Within the next minute he whispered a quick apology into your ear and snapped your neck.
Natalya's eyes fluttered open as the morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. She blinked away the remnants of sleep, her mind slowly coming into focus. And then, as realization dawned upon her, a sinking feeling settled in the pit of her stomach. She turned her head slightly and saw Damon lying beside her, his form still and peaceful in sleep. But Natalya knew better than to mistake his calm demeanor for kindness. Beneath the surface lurked a darkness, a cruelty that she had become all too familiar with. As she shifted in the bed, Damon stirred, his eyes flickering open. A cold chill ran down Natalya's spine as she met his gaze â "good morning" Damon says as he moved his hand towards her face "please...don't" she said flinching away from his touch. "don't do that â ah ah ah" he tuts pushing her hair over her so he could view the bite marks from the night before "no, no, no, get away from me â No" she scrambles off the bed towards her vanity. A knock is heard at the door, "Natalya are you okay?" Elena yelled through â Damon looked at Natalya with a sinister look daring her to yell for help, "yeah lena just - uh- dropped my perfume" she said looking Damon in his eyes, "alright i made you some food downstairs, Jenna's on campus for the day" she said walking away. Damon smiled "this could have gone a completely different way. i'll be back later" and he disappeared. Natalya sat down on her bed, the silence weighing heavy on her chest like a suffocating blanket. The once vibrant walls now seemed to close in on her, their cheerful colors mocking her bleak mood. She hugged her knees to her chest, seeking solace in the darkness that enveloped her. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision as they streamed down her cheeks unchecked. Each tear felt like a drop of lead, dragging her further into the depths of despair. She felt numb, empty, as if a black hole had swallowed up all the joy and light in her life. Thoughts swirled in her mind like a whirlwind, each one more crushing than the last. She felt worthless, hopeless, as if she were drowning in a sea of despair with no lifeline in sight. Every breath felt like a struggle, every heartbeat a reminder of her pain. She dragged her feet to her mirror where she ran her fingers over the holes in her neck. She hadn't felt this way since her parents died, so lifeless â out of control. She quickly got ready, grabbing a scarf from her sisters closet; she wrapped it around her neck.
Under the shade of a sprawling oak tree, elena and bonnie stood outside mystic falls high school, their voices mingling with the soft rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze. The sun cast dappled patterns of light and shadow across the pavement, creating a serene atmosphere for their conversation. Bonnie leaned against the trunk of the tree, her backpack slung over one shoulder as she listened intently to her friend, elena. "somethings up with talya" Elena said to bonnie â who perked up at the mention of Natalya â "what do you mean, i haven't talked to her since last night i tried to call her this morning but she didn't answer" bonnie said back "this morning it sounded like there was someone in her room and then i heard a loud noise" Elena said her worry was clear on her face "i knocked on the door and she told me she dropped her perfume." Elena had a perplexed look on her face "she didn't want to have a movie night last night which is completely not like her" bonnie raised her eyebrows in surprise "wait â there she is" â Natalya walked up to the girls with a smile on her face after she exited Damon's car; the scarf around her neck, she tried to cover up the bite marks on her neck and hoped no one would be able to notice them. She couldn't say the same for the bags under eyes and her sunken cheeks. Elena and Bonnie both noticed her depressed state, she was normally so happy and bubbly she would practically run to meet up with her friends, but here she was walking slowly towards them. Elena noticed the lack of color in her all black outfit, the only color was a burgundy scarf. She always had a bright color whether it be a pink bow, or bright shirt. She actually thinks Natalya stole that scarf from her closet. "hey guys sorry i'm late" Natalya said sounding out of breath â "i â uhâ couldn't figure out what to wear this morning" Natalya scratched the back of her hair "i'm just gunna go inside" she quickly turned around and started walking away â "wait talya" Elena yelled to her sister who turned around, "yea?" she responded "bonnie and Stefan are coming over for dinner tonight just wanted to let you know" she said smiling at her â "great" Natalya whispered under her breath as she turned and walked away. "that was caroline's mystery guy from the grill" bonnie said as she turned her head back to Elena â "that's not a mystery guy. That's Damon Salvatore" Elena responded â "Salvatore.. as in Stefan?" bonnie quickly asked Elena who shook her head. Elena and bonnie had parted ways, she was on a mission to find Stefan. She knew that from what Stefan told her about his brother that he was nothing but bad news. She also knew that Natalya would never go for a man that looked like him. she saw him walking towards her near Mr. tanners room â "Stefan" Elena exhaled as he approached her "did you know my sister is dating your brother?" she pressed, she watched as Stefan's face contorted with confusion and she could have sworn she saw anger in his eyes. "no i didn't know that" he responded voice strained â "well i don't know you brother all that well but somethings up. Natalya's being different than normal and no offense but he is not her type." Elena said waving her hands to make her point â "i think he's doing something to her" Elena whispered eyes watering as she look up at Stefan who had an almost painful expression on his face. "listen, i promise you i will handle it alright." Stefan said back as he grabbed Elena's hand.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
Damon had made himself comfortable in Stefan's bedroom reading his journals when Stefan arrived home from football tryouts â "how were tryouts? did you make the team? very Emerson, the way you reveal your soul with so many adjectives" Damon instigates â "what are you doing here?" Stefan replies wary of his brothers next move "i've come to apologize. I've been doing some thinking, some soul searching, and... i want us to start over. we need to put the past behind us. You're my little brother, and if you want to live a normal, happy human life, then I want that for you. Maybe I can do it, too. That I can learn to be a non-living living person. Maybe there's hope for both of us." Damon says, he almost looks serious but Stefan knows him better â "no Damon, there isn't actually hope for both of us because there will never be hope for you" Stefan shot back as he walked closer to Damon grabbing his journal from his hand. Damon gets up from his chair â "You know i saw Elena today, btw. That means by the way." damon retorts â "She was at cheerleading practice. She looked so perky in her little short shorts. Just... simmer down, I didn't even go near her. I've got my own gilbert girl now. Ooh, that reminds me... I gotta run. I have a date. Sweaty palms. Wish me luck." he says wiping his hands on his pants and walking out of the room.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
Elena and Bonnie were in the gilbert kitchen preparing food that elena had ordered. The girls were currently trying to make it look like they had cooked it. "You explain it. Last night, I'm watching Nine-o, a commercial breaks come on and I'm like, I bet it's that phone commercial. And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture." bonnie exclaimed as she shrugged her shoulders matter of factly "Oh, come on. That commercial's on a constant loop." Elena retorted looking for a spoon â "Fine. Well, how about this? Today I'm obsessed with numbers. 3 numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14, and 22. How weird is that?" bonnie said back looking over her shoulder "Maybe we should play the lottery." Elena said stopping herself "hey can you try to go upstairs and talk to talya she won't let me in her room." Elena asked bonnie concerned laced in her tone â "yea i'll go now, i'm really worried about her." bonnie said walking away. Bonnie was worried about her best friend. the girls had been inseparable since the day they met, and yet bonnie hadn't heard from Natalya more than their quick interaction outside the school this morning. Bonnie bounded up the stairs towards Natalya's room, she could hear the shower running so she figured she could enter the room and wait for her on the bed like she normally would do. When she entered the room she noticed that all her makeup products from her vanity were scattered all over like Natalya was looking for something and her bed wasn't made, she even took notice of what looked like blood on Natalya's pillow. Clothes were scattered on the floor and some pictures were hanging sideways. she grew concerned when she realized the shower had been running for a longer time than necessary, she quickly knocked on the door "Natalya..." bonnie banged â no answer â "tal..? it's bonnie can you come out here" she heard the sound of the water shut off. "go away bonnie i just want to be alone right now" Natalya yelled back through the door â "no tal i miss my best friend and you scaring me and Elena. we just want to make sure that you alright." bonnie pleaded, finally the lock clicked and Natalya opened the door quickly making sure to move her hair over her neck. the door swung open and Natalya stepped out of the bathroom steam flowing out of the room. "i'm fine okay? i just want to get ready." Natalya snapped at bonnie as she moved out of her way â "ready for what?" bonnie inquired moving to sit on the bed. "i invited Damon over for dinner" she replied with a quivering voice â "tal you know if Damon is doing something to you that you can tell us right?" bonnie asked moving to grab Natalya's shoulder â "he's not doing anything to me" she snapped back to her pulling her shoulder out from her grasp. "okay.. okay, just promise that if you need help you will tell me or Elena?" bonnie held her hands up in surrender as she turned around and made her way to the door. "GUYS STEFANS HERE" Elena yelled from downstairs â "i'll let you get dressed, i love you glinda" bonnie smiled sadly at her. "i love you more elfie" Natalya choked out, she didn't want to cry but it was like her thoughts weren't hers anymore. she wanted to yell for help but she couldn't and she didn't know why. "okay don't be nervous, he's here, just be your normal loving self" Elena whispered to herself as she opened the door.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
Stefan sat across from Elena next to Natalya, bonnie was on the end of the table. Stefan could smell the dried blood from Natalya's wound on her neck. He tried to not focus on it but rather the conversation at hand â "Did Tanner give you a hard time today?" Elena asked â "Well, he let me on the team, so I must have done something right." Stefan retorted, Elena turned her head towards bonnie â "Bonnie, you should have seen Stefan today. Tyler threw a ball right at him, and..." Elena started, you could hear the excitement in her voice as she spoke â "yea i heard" bonnie said quietly, Natalya knew that when bonnie wasn't fond of someone she wasn't exactly secretive about it. "why don't you tell Stefan about your family?" Elena pushed. Natalya cringed that was always a sore subject for bonnie. "Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad." bonnie replied calmly, "No, about the witches. Bonnie's family has a lineage of witches. It's really cool." Elena said looking back and forth between bonnie and Stefan â "i don't think cool is the word bonnie would use" Natalya said lowly under her breath. "Well, it's certainly interesting. I'm not too versed, but I do know that there's a history of celtic druids that migrated here in the'00s." stefan said moving his arms on the table and crossing them over each other â that had piqued bonnie's interest "My family came by way of Salem." she said back just as the doorbell rang. Natalya's head flew up at the sound her breathing gone ridged, her shaky hand held her chair so she could get up "I wonder who that could be." Elena said beating Natalya to the door, she opened the door and Damon stood there with a pie in his hands.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
"Hope you don't mind. Natalya invited me over for dinner" Damon said with a smile on his face, Stefan got up from his seat "what are you doing here?" he asked keeping his calm as if to not alert the others. Natalya noticed how he glanced at her, she realized he knew what Damon was doing. She grew mad at the realization that he knew and he wasn't doing anything, then she became scared because if his brother was doing that to her then what was he doing to Elena. as if on autopilot Natalya spoke up in a sweet voice "Baby hi, i'm so glad you could make it." she said pulling him over the threshold into the house. Damon leaned down and kissed her, she internally cringed but her body played along leaning into him. "you have a beautiful home, Elena" he said making eye contact with her. the group gathered in the living room, Natalya was sat on Damon's lap. "so.. um how did you guys meet?" Elena asked keeping her eyes on where his hands were placed making sure her sister was uncomfortable. "well i met him the other night when i ditched bonnie and caroline at the grill after caroline said how you can get any guy you want." Natalya said rambling â "you know i love her to death but sometimes i wish sheriff Forbes was the one who died that way i didn't have to listen to her voice all the damn time" Natalya finished, Elena and bonnie gasped at her words, Stefan held in a breath. it was never like Natalya to ever wish something bad on someone she loved, the person sitting across from them was not the girl they knew and loved. damon tapped her on her knee and said "you know you shouldn't say that sweetheart, I know what it's like to lose both your parents. In fact, Stefan and I have watched almost every single person we've ever cared about die." â natalya was forced to say that, she didn't feel that way at all. "i should put the dishes away" elena excused herself â damon shortly after excusing himself to go help. Bonnie had went home giving natalya a quick hug and kiss on the head. Stefan was sitting across from natalya watching her intently, the way she fidgeted with her hands, how her heart beat irregularly every time she heard damon laugh. She was scared of him. "that's a really nice scarf" stefan said to natalya "Mm. Thank you, it's elena's" she said playing with the end of the scarf. "Can I see it? I mean, would you mind taking it off?" he asked holding his hand out for it, "oh i can't" natalya replied shyly â "why not? you okay?" stefan pushed, natalya raised her eyebrows as if to say "you know i'm not" but replied "Um... All I know is that I can't take it off." she said looking down at her lap. "what are you two kids up to?" damon asked as he entered the room â "i was just asking her about her scarf" stefan said to his brother â "Hmm. Hey, you know, um, Elena is finishing up the dishes. Why don't you go see if you can help?" he directed his question towards natalya but stared at stefan, natalya got up and made her way to the kitchen to help her sister. â "They are people, Damon. She's not a puppet. She doesn't exist for your amusement, for you to feed on whenever you want to." stefan said getting in his brothers face, "Sure she does. They all do. They're whatever I want them to be. They're mine for the taking." damon said pushing his brother back "All right, you've had your fun. You used Natalya, you got to me and Elena, good for you. Now it's time for you to go." Stefan said pushing Damon towards the door â "That's not a problem. Because... I've been invited in, and I'll come back tomorrow night and the following night and I'll do whatever i want with Natalya. Because that is what is normal to me." damon said leaving the gilbert house. Natalya and elena finished up the dishes and made their way to their respective rooms for the night. Natalya laid in her bed making sure she locked her windows and shut her curtains hoping that would deter damon if he chose to come back. She turned her tv on for some background noise and fell asleep into a deep slumber.
Amidst a field of vibrant wildflowers swaying gently in the breeze, a girl with cascading locks of Brown hair danced like a sprite, her laughter echoing through the air. She twirled and skipped, her dress billowing around her as she moved with grace and joy. Behind her, a boy with an air of mystery chased after her, his form blurred as if shrouded in mist. He matched her steps with a playful determination, his laughter blending with hers in harmonious melody. The sun cast a golden glow over the scene, painting the world in hues of warmth and serenity. Each step they took seemed to be imbued with the magic of the moment, a fleeting dance of innocence and freedom. The girl glanced over her shoulder, a mischievous sparkle in her eyes as she quickened her pace, daring the boy to catch her. He responded with a playful grin, his movements fluid and effortless as he closed the distance between them. Their laughter filled the air, mingling with the sweet scent of flowers and the rustle of leaves. For a moment, they were lost in their own world, a world where time stood still and worries faded away.
Natalya awoke to the soft chirping of birds outside her window, a smile already tugging at her lips. Slipping out of bed, she padded across the hardwood floor to her vanity, adorned with an array of cosmetics and hair accessories. Today, like any other day, she had a routine to followâa delicate dance of beauty rituals and wardrobe choices. She couldn't stop thinking about the dinner she and her friends had at the grill the night prior.
As if Caroline wasn't already overbearing in the school hallway, interrogating her and Elena, she went ahead and took it up another level by grilling poor Stefan on his whole family situation. Natalya was put off by Stefan; she got a weird vibe from him. Even Bonnie said she felt weird around him, but then again, she swore on her lucky stars that when she touched him the other night, she saw a vision. Natalya brushed her teeth, washed her face, and applied some light makeup. Growing up, Elena always told her how beautiful she was, and because of that, she preferred light makeup over heavy. She decided to straighten her hair down and applied two white clips on each side, pinning back her front hair. She shut the light off in her bathroom, heading for her dresser. She pulled out her favorite pair of denim jeans. She and Bonnie decided to customize their jeans one sleepover when they got bored. Hers had a Playboy bunny on one pocket. Then she grabbed a pink lace tank top and put on her pink Converse.
After quickly fixing her shirt and grabbing a sweater, Natalya grabbed her backpack and headed out of her room. But as she swung open the door, she collided with someone, causing her to stumble backward. "Ouch!" Natalya exclaimed, blinking in surprise as she regained her balance. She looked up to see her older sister Elena standing in the hallway, a bemused expression on her face. "Elena, you scared me!" Natalya laughed, adjusting her backpack. Elena chuckled, shaking her head at her sister's antics. "Sorry about that, I was rushing," Elena said, hiding her smile. "Rushing to go see Stefan?" Natalya said with her eyebrows raised and a smile in her eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about," Elena said back in a sly voice. "You look amazing as always though, Talya," Elena said, looking her up and down with a smile. One thing about Elena was that she truly adored her baby sister; she was her best friend. Elena had many friends, but none would ever top Natalya in her eyes. She loved her sister endlessly and she was happy that she was finally enjoying her life since their parents passed away. "Why thank you, sister," Natalya smiled back, spinning in a circle to show off her outfit, feeling a surge of affection for her sister. Despite their occasional clashes, she knew Elena always had her back. "GIRLS!" they heard their aunt Jenna yell; they both scrambled down the stairs where they found their aunt standing in front of a mirror with her hair in a crazy updo. "Do I look like an adult? As in respectfully parental?" she asked, turning to the girls. "Depends on where you're going," Elena said, looking over at Jenna. "I agree with Lena," Natalya joined in. Jenna sighed. "Jeremy's parent-teacher conference," she said, moving her hair down. "Hair up or down?" she asked. Natalya moved behind her, grabbing her hair and putting it back up in a clip. "Sexy stewardess," she said, moving it back down. "Boozy housewife," Natalya finished, patting Jenna on her butt with a wink. "Up it is; you two are feisty today," she said, finishing pinning her hair up. "I feel good today, which is rare, so I've decided to go with it," Elena said, moving towards the kitchen. "Fly free, walk on sunshine, and all the stuff," she said, sitting at the kitchen island. "I know why you feel good; one word, starts with an S," she said back to Elena with a smug look. "And to answer you, Aunt Jenna, I slept so good last night; of course, I feel good," she said, turning back to Jenna. "Well, I'm glad Jeremy seemed miserable; something about building a birdhouse," she said, moving her hands as she went through the fridge before she paused. "There is no workshop, is there?" Both girls stifled their laughter, shaking their heads no.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
Natalya was walking down the hallway with bonnie and caroline, "i'm confused, are you psychic or clairvoyant?" caroline said putting up signs for the cheer team as she walked "Technically, grams says I'm a witch. My ancestors were these really cool Salem witch chicks or something.Grams tried to explain it all, but she was looped on the liquor so I kinda tuned out. Crazy family, yes. Witches? I don't think so." bonnie said wrapping her arm around natalya's own arm, "i mean if grams told me i was a witch i'd believe her she's got the whole witch vibe going on" natalya said as she fixed her lipgloss "want some?" she pointed her towards her lipgloss to bonnie who took it from her hand "plus imagine being a witch that would be totally cool, i would totally rock the witch persona" she said with a smile on her lips, caroline turned around and tilted her head "i think if you were going to anything it'd be a vampire, you'd be a hot vampire." she said with a wink towards natalya, "no way she'd be a witch for sure, the real life good witch, my glinda" bonnie said handing natalya her lip gloss back, "Yeah, well, feel free to conjure up the name and number of that guy from last night," Caroline said, handing Natalya and Bonnie half her stack of posters. "Here, help me hand these out," Caroline continued as she turned and walked in a different direction. "You mean the guy from last night with the blue eyes?" Natalya said, recalling the man she had run into on her way home from the grill. She had left Bonnie and Caroline early after Bonnie started complaining about how Elena got every man she wanted.
"Yeah, I can't listen to this anymore," Natalya said as she started gathering her stuff. "Nat..." Bonnie said, giving her a look that Natalya could only interpret as an apology. She shook her head, trying to tell Bonnie not to feel sorry.
"Oh, come on, Nat. The only reason you don't agree is because you've never had a boyfriend for Elena to steal," Caroline said. Natalya knew Caroline was drunk and not being herself, but she still couldn't sit through it. She grabbed her things and gave Bonnie a quick hug and kiss goodbye, then made her way towards the exit.
After she left the grill, she remembered that Bonnie had been her ride home. She had been so busy with Caroline that she must have forgotten. Natalya pulled out her phone to call Elena for a ride when she collided with a stranger. "Watch where you're going," he muttered low and gravely, sending a shiver down Natalya's spine. She looked up and was met with piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore into her soul with each gaze. His dark hair was slicked back, giving him a sinister air. The man towered over her in height, and he wore a leather jacket that creaked with every movement he made, adding to his unsettling presence. Natalya took a step back, feeling her heart pounding in her chest. "I'm sorry," she stammered out. The stranger's lips turned up into a smirk. "Apology accepted," he said, his voice dripping with malice. All of Natalya's instincts were screaming at her to run, but she stood frozen in her place, unable to tear her eyes away from the stranger's haunting eyes. "What's your name?" the stranger asked. "Natalya," she whispered, her voice barely audible. The stranger's smirk widened, his eyes dilating with each word he spoke. "Well, Natalya, it seems we have a connection," he said, taking a step closer to her. Natalya's heart raced as she backed away with each step he took closer, her mind racing with fear. She'd never seen this man before; he didn't go to school with her. Part of her wanted to scream, but she was stuck frozen, staring into his eyes.
Before she could react, the stranger reached out and grasped her arm with a grip that felt like ice. "You are not going to remember this interaction; you're going to think you ran into a handsome stranger on your way home. The next time you see me, you will remember the conversation we had tonight; you will not tell anyone when you do remember. Do you understand?" the man spoke, his voice low and commanding. With her mind fuzzy, Natalya removed her arm from the stranger's grasp. "I'm sorry, I should have been watching where I was going," she said, shaking her head. Moving out of the man's way, she dialed Elena's phone number as she made her way down the street.
"I didn't see him, you did. Why didn't you just speak to him?" Bonnie spoke back to Caroline, shaking her head at Natalya.
"I don't know; I was drunk," Caroline said.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
Natalya sat next to her sister at the grill with Caroline and Bonnie. It was the town's night of the comet and apparently, to Bonnie, a night of supernatural doom and gloom. "Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity," Bonnie explained. "Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot, and she told you about the aliens," Caroline replied back sarcastically. "So then what?" she then turned her head to Elena. "So then nothing," Elena said. "You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy-feely of any kind?" Caroline replied. The conversation had shifted to them talking about how Elena had Stefan over last night. "Nope. We didn't go there," Elena replied, "Trust me, I would know; those walls are thin," Natalya said with a slight smile. "Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut," Natalya was shaking her head to agree with Caroline. "Exactly, and I've never been with anyone, so it's up to you all to tell me these things so I can live vicariously through you," Elena pursed her lips. "We just talked for hours," Caroline scoffed. "Ok, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex," Elena suddenly got up, Natalya's eyes widened. "Profound, Caroline," Elena responded. "Wait, where are you going?" Bonnie asked.
"Caroline's right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying I was going to do." she then walked away. "Okay, that was so out of character for her," Natalya said, sipping her strawberry lemonade. The night of the comet had approached quickly. Natalya was once again back to handing out flyers with Elena and Bonnie.
"He didn't call, huh?" Bonnie asked Elena.
"Or text, but I realized we never even exchanged that stuff. We've never gotten to the texting part," Natalya whipped her head around." Seriously?" Bonnie nodded her head in agreement. "That's an important milestone in like any relationship," Elena moved to hand more flyers. "Isn't it? The timing is wrong anyway?" Natalya stopped handing her looking at her sister. "Yeah, but when is it ever right? Remember Jason? We dated a month after Mom and Dad passed away, and I know for a fact the time wasn't right then," giving her sister a smile she turned back to start setting up candles. "I just don't think I'm ready, ya know?" Elena responded. "Again, who is?" Bonnie replied with a small smile. "At least I'm putting myself out there," Elena retorted, "Is that what we're calling it now?" Bonnie responded, "What's that supposed to mean?" Elena snaps back.
"I'm just saying all I'm hearing is reasons why you can't," Bonnie says shrugging her shoulders and walking away. Out of the corner of her eye, Natalya swears she saw the stranger from the night prior, but when she whips her head around she's met with nothing. "You okay, Talya?" Elena asks, moving closer to her sister. "Huh..? Yea, I'm alright, Lena." Elena ditched Natalya to walk around with Stefan, Bonnie got the creeps again from him, and Caroline was nowhere to be seen. Natalya was totally ditching the comet. As she walked alone to her car, the night air felt thick with unease. Her friends and sister lost in their own world, even her brother was wrapped up in Vicki land. Now, the deserted parking lot seemed to stretch out before her like a void, the only sound the echo of her footsteps on the pavement. Suddenly, she heard a rustling sound, like someone moving in the shadows. Natalya's heart skipped a beat as she glanced around, her senses on high alert. She quickened her pace, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. Then, out of nowhere, he appearedâthe dark-haired man with piercing blue eyes, his presence sending a chill down Natalya's spine. "You again?" she gasped, her voice trembling with fear. "How did youâ" But before she could finish her sentence, the man was standing before her, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity. "Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you," Damon said as that smirk Natalya was all too familiar with settled on his features. Natalya took a step back, her heart racing in her chest. "What do you want?" she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I need a small favor from you," he said as he moved closer to her, locking her gaze with his. "You are going to pretend to be in a relationship with me. You see, I know the fact that I'm messing with your head will bother my baby brother. So his precious girlfriend's baby sister has to be collateral," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "Whâ who are you?" she whispered back, her eyes still gazing into his. But the man didn't respond. Instead, he reached out and grasped her arm with a grip that felt like ice. Natalya gasped, her pulse quickening as she struggled to break free. Natalya arrived home; she set her keys on the table near the door â "Hey, Talya," Elena said, bounding down the stairs, "i was thinking we could slumber it tonight.. maybe watch a movie?" she said grabbing a bowl from the kitchen. Natalya felt this overbearing sensation to inform her older sister about the man she had met once again in the parking lot, but the words the came out of her mouth didn't reflect what was going on in her mind â actually it was the total opposite, it was like she was saying one thing in her mind but she couldn't say it out loud, so she just decided to say nothing. "I actually just want to go to bed, I had a really long night and i'm just not feeling it." she responded "Natalya are you alright?" Elena said walking over to her sister moving her to sit on the couch â if only she knew but it was like Natalya's mouth was sealed shut, "yea Elena i'm fine" she took her hand from Elena's grasp and stormed upstairs. when Natalya entered her bedroom she shut the door and leaned against it. "you wanted to tell her didn't you?" Damon said as he laid on Natalya's bed messing around with her teddy bear â "what are you going to do to me?"
Natalya whispered in a vice like fear â "well i have a couple things but right now i'm hungry. why don't you come sit down next to me?" Natalya hesitated â "cmon Natalya you have to do what i say.. that's how this works" he persuaded in a sing song voice. Natalya's hesitant footsteps move her towards the bed. she sat down next to him as he moved to her, "see that wasn't so hard" he said as he moved her hair out of her face cupping her cheek. Natalya sat frozen as Damon's lips pressed against hers, his kiss forceful and demanding. Panic surged through her veins as she realized she didn't want this, but Damon was stronger than her, his grip on her arms unyielding. "Stop," Natalya gasped, trying to push him away, but Damon only tightened his hold, his kiss growing more aggressive. "Natalya, don't fight it," Damon murmured against her lips, his voice low and commanding. "You know you want this." But Natalya didn't want this. She wanted to scream, to run away from Damon's suffocating embrace, but she was powerless against him. And then, she felt a sharp pain shoot through her neck as Damon's fangs pierced her skin.
She cried out in agony, her entire body wracked with pain as Damon drank from her. She felt weak, dizzy, and helpless, her vision swimming as darkness threatened to consume her. Damon pulls away kissing down her neck moving her sweater out of his way. Natalya felt sick to her stomach as she at him, her body trembling with fear and disgust. She wanted to scream, to run away and never look back, but she knew she was trapped in Damon's web of control. She didn't even want to think of was happened next. She knew she hated the man next to her, Natalya had never hated anyone before. But this man â he's taken something from her she'd never get back. She didn't know what he wanted with her, why he did what he did. She knew he wasn't human based on the way that when he was done with her he told her to never say anything about what happened, and she listened. The Gilbert girl hesitantly fell asleep.
Natalya woke up to the soft rays of morning sunlight filtering through her curtains, casting a warm glow across her room. Stretching languidly, she yawned and blinked away the remnants of sleep, feeling the gentle tug of anticipation for the day ahead. The scent of fresh coffee wafted from the kitchen, enticing her out of bed. With a contented sigh, she swung her legs over the edge of the mattress, relishing the comforting familiarity of her morning routine as she prepared to face the day. As Natalya descended the stairs, she could hear the faint sounds of her aunt Jenna's anxious murmurs emanating from the kitchen. With a furrowed brow, she quickened her pace, wondering what had her usually composed aunt so flustered. Entering the kitchen, Natalya found Jenna pacing back and forth, a whirlwind of activity. "Aunt Jenna, what's wrong?" Natalya asked, concern evident in her voice. Jenna glanced up, a slightly frazzled look on her face. "Hey, Natalya. I'm just trying to figure out what to whip up for breakfast for the first day back to school. Any suggestions?" she said, tossing a few ingredients onto the counter. Natalya surveyed the options and shrugged. "How about some simple pancakes or scrambled eggs? Can't go wrong with those," she suggested. Jenna nodded, relieved. "Good call." As they were setting the table, Elena descended the stairs, her usually vibrant demeanor replaced by a somber expression. Natalya and Jenna exchanged concerned glances as Elena joined them at the table, her eyes cast downward. "Morning, lena. You okay?" Natalya asked, reaching out to gently squeeze her sister's hand. Elena managed a weak smile. "Yeah, just not feeling it today, you know?" she replied, her voice tinged with melancholy. Natalya nodded understandingly, offering her sister a supportive nod. Jenna chimed in, placing a comforting hand on Elena's shoulder. "You're not alone, Elena. We're here for you," she reassured, her words carrying a sense of warmth and understanding. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed from the staircase, signaling Jeremy's arrival. However, when he entered the kitchen, it was immediately evident that something was off. His eyes were bloodshot, and a faint scent lingered in the air, unmistakable to Natalya and Elena. Natalya furrowed her brow, concern evident in her voice. "Jeremy, are you okay?" she asked, eyeing him closely. Jeremy scoffed, his movements sharp. "Yeah, I'm fine," he retorted, his tone defensive. Elena exchanged a worried glance with Jenna, sensing the tension in the room. "Jeremy, it's obvious you're not okay. What's going on?" she pressed, her voice tinged with frustration. Jeremy shook his head adamantly. "I'm not high, okay? Just tired," he insisted, his words laced with defiance. Elena didn't hold back. "Jeremy, cut the act. We know what's up," she said bluntly, her tone cutting through the tension. "Just leave me alone. alright?" Jeremy said as he walked out of the house. The two sisters looked at each other. "Aunt Jenna, we're going to pick up bonnie. Love you." Natalya said as she grabbed her keys.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
The car ride to school was eerily quiet, the weight of their recent loss hanging heavily in the air. Natalya gripped the steering wheel with white-knuckled determination, her gaze fixed on the road ahead. Beside her sat Elena, her expression somber as she stared out the window, lost in her thoughts. Bonnie, in the backseat, fidgeted nervously with the strap of her backpack, unsure of what to say. The three friends had been inseparable since childhood, but the events of the past summer had left them all reeling.As they approached the school gates, Natalya's grip on the steering wheel tightened. This would be their first day back since the accident that had claimed both of their parents' lives. The familiar sight of the school brought a flood of memories, both happy and painful.Elena let out a shaky breath, breaking the silence. "I don't know if I can do this," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Natalya glanced at her sister, her own heart heavy with grief. "We'll get through this together, Elena. We have each other," she said, her voice filled with determination.
â§âËâàŒâ§âË.
As the three girls strolled down the halls of Mystic Falls High School, Bonnie animatedly recounted a conversation with her grandmother. "So, Grams tells me I'm psychic because we're descendants of the Celtic Druids. I know, right? I wasn't buying it either until I remembered my accuracy. I predicted Obama, David Cook, Heath Ledger, Britney's comeback, and I still think Florida will break off and become little resort islands. I think there's something to it," she explained, her voice filled with enthusiasm. Elena, lost in her own thoughts, paid little attention to Bonnie's ramblings as her gaze remained fixed on Matt, her ex-boyfriend. Bonnie noticed Elena's distraction and made eye contact with Natalya, who subtly gestured towards Matt. "Did I tell you about the orgy? I had the football team over. Threw a blindfold on. I still don't know who took my virginity -- EARTH TO ELENA," Bonnie exclaimed, snapping her fingers to get Elena's attention.
Startled, Elena jumped and turned her focus back to Bonnie. Behind her, Natalya struggled to suppress a laugh. "I'm sorry, it's just... I feel so bad. I broke up with him after our parents died, and... ugh, I don't know. I promise I heard what you said though," Elena apologized, leaning against the lockers. "Oh yeah? Then why don't you tell us what Elfie said?" Natalya teased, using a childhood nickname for Bonnie. Their grandmother, Sheila, had always played their favorite soundtrack, "Wicked," hence the nickname. "C'mon, then tell me," Bonnie urged, turning her attention back to Elena. "You were saying something about being psychic." Elena nodded, a curious expression on her face. "Huh, she missed the most important part," Natalya remarked, adjusting her hair. "Okay then, predict what's in store for me," Elena challenged, locking eyes with Bonnie. "I predict this year is going to be kick-ass. And I predict all the sad and dark moments are going away. You both are going to be happier than happy, with smoking hot sex too," Bonnie declared with a grin, her confidence shining through. Natalya scoffed at Bonnie's prediction. "Puh-lease, I'm not having piping hot sex with anyone. I'm waiting for a nice, rich guy, maybe older, to sweep me away and fly me to Paris before I put out," she stated matter-of-factly. "Well, it's always nice to have dreams, Glinda," Bonnie teased, her gaze shifting to Caroline, who was approaching their group. "Hey! Oh my gosh, Elena, Natalya, how are you guys? It's so good to see you," Caroline exclaimed, enveloping both girls in a tight hug. While Elena seemed less enthusiastic, Natalya reciprocated the hug with her usual bubbly demeanor. "Thanks, Caroline, we're hanging in there," Natalya replied as she pulled away, smiling warmly at her. As Elena busied herself with her locker, Caroline turned her attention to her. "So, have you seen Matt yet?" she inquired, her gaze fixed on Elena. Natalya's eyes widened in surprise. It wasn't a secret that Elena and Matt had broken up. "They broke up, Caroline," Bonnie interjected, shooting Caroline a disapproving look. "I know, but that doesn't mean they can't talk," Caroline insisted, her attention still on Elena. "You're right, it doesn't. But Elena and I have been through a lot, so why would she want a constant reminder of the relationship that failed because our parents died?" Natalya snapped at Caroline, her frustration evident. As if on cue, Matt approached their group. "Speak of the devil and he shall appear," Natalya muttered under her breath to Bonnie, who smirked in response. "Hey, guys..." Matt's eyes scanned over all three girls before settling on Elena. She offered him a small smile, a departure from her usual demeanor. "Hi, Matt," she greeted softly, looking down. He nodded in acknowledgment. "Good to see you," he replied before walking off in the other direction. "Well, that was fucking weird. What was he trying to accomplish with that stupid move?" Natalya sighed, unable to make sense of Matt's actions. It baffled her how upset he seemed with Elena when she hadn't left him for someone else. Caroline turned around and walked away before she could worsen the situation. "You know, Lena, don't let Matt get to you with his stupid games. Same with Caroline. Well, actually, Caroline cares about you. Matt is TBD," Natalya remarked as the three girls started walking down the hallway. They passed the admin office when Bonnie abruptly stopped. "Who's that?" she questioned, prompting the sisters to look through the window. "We can only see his back," Elena responded. "Yeah, but it's a hot back," Natalya winked at Elena.
The secretary looked up at Stefan as he leaned over the desk. "I'm sorry, but your records are incomplete," she said. "Are they?" Stefan mocked. "You're missing immunization records, transcripts, parental contact information..." she rambled, shaking her head. "We really prefer parents to come in and meet with us in person, and we absolutely insist on transcripts," she said, looking up at him. Stefan lowered his sunglasses as his eyes dilated, captivating the woman's gaze. "Please look again. I'm sure everything you need is there," he said. The secretary looked back down, slightly disoriented. "Well, would you look at that! You're right, everything is here."
"Please don't be ugly, please don't be ugly," Bonnie chanted as he slowly turned around and made eye contact with the girls. "Oh wow, ten out of ten handsome," Natalya remarked. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jeremy walk past with what she called his stoner friends. She watched as he dragged his feet, swaying a bit. "Oh, he's definitely stoned," she thought to herself. She quickly excused herself as she watched him enter the men's room. She ran off towards the room, not angry at him, but upset with how terribly he was doing at hiding it. Jenna didn't deserve the shit storm that would come crashing down on her if the school found out. She slammed the men's room door open as Jeremy was putting eye drops in his eyes. Ignoring the two guys using the urinals, she grabbed Jeremy and spun him around, pushing him back a little. She took one look into his eyes and saw how bloodshot they were. Jeremy jerked his arm away from Natalya. "Great first day of school and you're stoned. You know I hate being the bad sister, but I can't keep letting you do this to yourself," she said. "I'm not stoned," he said. "You were stoned when you left the house this morning, Jeremy. Elena might have believed you, but I sure as hell didn't," she responded as she started digging through his coat pockets trying to find his stash. He jerked away, but she was faster. "Where is it? Is it on you?" she said, fighting with him. "You need to chill yourself," he said back in a lazy tone. "Chill yourself... Oh, stoner talk, you're so cool," she mocked him. "There's none on me, stop it," he said as he pushed her back, trying to get her to back down. "No, I'm going to be on your ass every single time. Do you even stop to think about how this is affecting others, Jeremy? I get it, you're hurting, and that's okay, do what you need to do. But don't do it where there are people who can make our lives an even bigger fucking mess than it is now. Do you even stop to think about how this could affect Aunt Jenna? The woman who stopped her life to take care of us so we weren't orphans? So, next time you go to take a hit from a bong, think to yourself... Is it worth it? Because I promise you, I will be there every time to ruin your buzz. Got it?" Natalya said frantically. Jeremy couldn't think of what to say, his silence scared Natalya. Did she let her anger get the best of her? Did she go too far? Her thoughts were running wild. "I know who you are, Jer, and it's not this person," she said softly. She watched as his eyes softened then hardened again. "I don't need this," he said, storming away. Stefan left the office and strolled down the hallway, drawing the attention of other students as he passed by. Bonnie and Elena followed behind him, intrigued to learn more about the mysterious new kid. He headed towards the men's room just as the door swung open, and Natalya walked out, colliding with him. They bumped into each other, and Natalya felt herself falling, but then she felt arms around her, steadying her. She looked up at the person she ran into. "Oh god, I'm sorry, and great, I'm coming out of the men's room," she said, running her hand through her hair. "Ugh, it's not what it seems like," she added, feeling flustered. He was gorgeous, more Elena's type than hers. "Pardon me," he said, stepping back. Natalya made a funny face at his old-fashioned language. "So, the men's room?" he retorted. "Yes, I was..." Natalya sighed. "Long story." She tried to step around him but bumped into him again. "Sorry," she said, finally managing to walk around him.
In the depths of the cosmos, where the stars danced in eternal harmony and the celestial beings reigned supreme, there existed Nyx, the goddess of the night. Cloaked in darkness and adorned with the shimmering jewels of the night sky, Nyx was a figure of mystery and power. But beneath her enigmatic exterior lay a soul burdened by struggles that mirrored the depths of the cosmos she ruled. Nyx's first struggle came from her own nature. Born from Chaos itself, she embodied the primordial darkness that existed before creation. Many feared her, shunning her as an omen of doom and despair. Her second struggle arose from her tumultuous relationship with Erebus, the god of primordial darkness. Their union was one of passion and conflict, as their opposing natures clashed like cosmic forces colliding in the void. Despite their love, they were often consumed by darkness, their union bringing chaos and destruction in its wake.As the goddess of the night, Nyx bore witness to the sorrows and fears of mortals as they slept. Their nightmares and anxieties weighed heavily on her heart, and she longed to bring them peace and solace. Yet, try as she might, she could not banish the darkness from their dreams. Nyx's greatest struggle, however, came from within herself. Immortal though she was, she yearned for connection and understanding, a longing that seemed impossible to fulfill. Surrounded by the vast emptiness of the cosmos, she felt isolated and alone, her darkness swallowing her whole. But amidst the shadows, there flickered a glimmer of hope. Nyx discovered that within the depths of her darkness lay the potential for transformation and renewal. Embracing her struggles as part of her divine nature, she began to see the beauty in her darkness, the stars shining brightest against the backdrop of night. With newfound purpose and resolve, Nyx embarked on a journey of self-discovery and redemption. She reached out to mortals, offering them the comfort of her embrace and the promise of dreams that whispered of hope and possibility. She forged alliances with other gods and goddesses, finding strength in unity and understanding. As the eons passed, Nyx's darkness became a beacon of light in the cosmos, a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, there is beauty and possibility waiting to be discovered. And so, Nyx's struggles transformed into triumphs, her darkness giving birth to stars that illuminated the heavens with their brilliance. In the end, Nyx emerged from the shadows as a symbol of resilience and redemption, a testament to the enduring power of darkness to bring forth light. And though her struggles may have been many, they were but stepping stones on her journey to embrace the infinite possibilities of the cosmos she ruled.
