Cw: Drug use
The villain's head throbbed with pain, as they willed themself to sit up. The room was dark, with barely any light. A tiny ray of shine was coming from the window on the right, and they exhaled. Before they could figure out where they were, footsteps echoed in the room, nearing them in the passing seconds.
"Finally awake, are we?" The person spoke, the all-too-familiar voice. The villain recognized it almost immediately but still had difficulty making out what the other was saying. They blinked a few times to make his eyes focus, and brain, work. However, to their veil, it didn't work. Not really.
"Where am I?" The villain whispered into the dark, their throat so dry, it felt like he had just swallowed a handful of sand. A scared feeling crawled up their spine, raising goosebumps in its wake. The hero's voice frightening them, making them feel so small.
"You're in my office. I'm supposed to hold you hostage, until the morning." The hero uttered lazily. Unaware of how the villain's body was shaking, crawling itself in. They forced themself to say something.
"I-...I don't understand." The villain said, gulping.
"I drugged you and then brought you here. Now, do you understand?" The hero asked, an irritated edge accompanying their words. The villain closed in on themself even more and nodded in the pitch black. They blamed themself for ever believing the hero and they had anything going on between them. Clearly not.
"Are you okay?" The hero questioned, breathless. They moved closer to the villain.
"No. I'm not okay. Do you think a person would be 'okay' after they've been hit on their head with a freaking pan?" The villain retorted, their hands moving to their head. A little bump was forming, and he cursed.
"I didn't know it was you, alright? It's not my fault that you decided to invade in my house at 3:00 in the morning." The hero grumbled, annoyance apparent in their frowned face.
"I came to give you your bracelet that you left behind, while you were wrestling me on that damned rooftop. Now, whose fault is that, huh?" The villain remarked, taking out the said object out of their back pocket, and placing it in the hero's hand.
"Oh, umm. Sorry. And, thank you." The hero said, sheepish. A slow smile formed on their face. They glowed beneath the moonlight, and it was the most beautiful sight for the villain.
The villain scoffed and looked away. They wouldn't admit it, but they only came to see the smile on the hero's face, and of course, to return that bracelet.

Just in case you’re new, or don’t really understand how this entire site functions (and it’s completely different from other social media apps, at least for now*), or if you wanted an illustration of why it’s so important to reblog the posts you enjoy and the hard work of creators you want to support, here’s a visualisation of the impact and reach of reblogging, using my biggest post (part one of my writing masterlist).
Creators are losing the will to post and share in droves because engagement is becoming next to non-existent, and if you don’t reblog the things you enjoy for free, creators wonder why they even bother, and soon they’ll just… stop.
(Look at that reblog to like ratio too… oof)
My little blog is at the centre of that dense circle, and every point in the image represents a reblog.
Of the people who reblogged the original post, most of them did so directly from me, but you can see scattered groups of reblogs which came from people who reblogged it from those who did so from me. And so on and so on, out into the ecosystem.
If you came across my masterlist in the wild, and didn’t or don’t follow me, you only saw it because someone reblogged it.
Most of the things you see on your dash are only there because someone you follow reblogged it.
It’s how this whole ecosystem works, and you’re smothering and killing it if you don’t reblog the ‘content’ you ‘consume’ (I dislike using those terms, but it is what it is).
To clarify, no one is saying you should feel obliged to reblog everything you come across, or that everything an artist or creator puts out there ‘deserves’ to be reblogged, but for pity’s sake, reblog the things you do actively enjoy.
Leaving a like or a comment on the post is like giving a compliment directly to the creator, and it’s wonderful, but it doesn’t show that post to anyone else or boost its presence on the platform. It can also give the impression you didn’t like it ‘enough’ or it wasn’t ‘good enough’ to bother putting on your blog or reblogging. How you really show your appreciation for something you genuinely enjoyed is by reblogging. (Even better if you screech away in the tags about why you liked it, but that’s an optional extra!) It’s like giving a meaningful and impactful tip, except it’s completely free, and it only costs you the time it takes to click or tap.
I hope that clears things up, and is a useful illustration of the impact you’ve had on creators’ pages by reblogging their work, so a huge thank you to those who represent points on that chart, and those of other creators on here! It’s because of people like you that work of people like me gets seen and enjoyed by more people!!
*(I know Tumblr is trying to change things so that you see other things now, instead of only the people you follow, but you can and should turn that feature off).
“What did you think? That you’d win? That you would have the control?” The villain murmured, way too close to the hero’s face. The hero stared with his mouth a gape open.
The villain smirked, “You’re staring at my lips, darling. Now, Wouldn’t you like to kiss me?”
The hero looked away, breathing heavily. The villain pressed their hands on the chains, tightening them. The hero moaned. “Fuck, don’t do that. Let me go. Please”. He let out.
“You know when you beg like that, I get weak.” The villain said, his hands retreating. He backed away from the hero.
The hero chuckled, laughed even. “You’re fucking insane.”
“I am. Thanks for confirming.” The villain sat down opposite the hero, his eyes wandering over the hero. They stared. The hero let on a wicked grin, scratching the chair across the pepper-powdered floor as they went close to the villain.
“You know, I would like to kiss you, even if to just shut your mouth up for a minute.” The hero muttered, lowly. The villain’s eyes fluttered, demeanor falling. Suddenly, they appeared vulnerable.
The villain huffed, “You wish.”
“So…no?” The hero asked, they moved their body a bit. Little did the villain know, the hero was entangling himself. And not long after, the hero succeded and stood up. Before the villain could do anything about it, the hero was pinning him down on the floor. His face frowned as the hero pressed his hand to his throat.

The hero and the villain run away. Except, when they both come back together, their roles are reversed. Because the hero finds out why the villain were the way they were. And now, they(the hero) want revenge.

“You’ll always be here to fight me, right?” The villain asks, pinning the hero to the wall, keeping an arm under their neck to keep them there firmly.
The hero grunted, leaning their head back to the rough bricks. They smirked slightly. “Why? Scared I’ll choose some other villain over you?”
“Shut up.” The villain said, pressing harder. The hero groaned, their hands moving to the villain’s waist.
They kept the smug grin on their face. “It’s okay, you can admit it. You like me, or dare I say, prefer me.”
And that was all it took for the villain to break. They leaned forward and smashed their lips with the hero’s, and the hero let out a laugh, pulling the villain closer.
The hero back-hugged the villain, and sighed. “How are you always so warm?” They said, and nuzzled their face in the villain’s neck.
“Because your love radiates like the sun on me.” The villain replied, grinning from ear to ear. The hero blushed and kissed them.
The villain’s heart crushed at the sight in front of him. The hero, no, his hero was holding someone else in his arms. Kissing them. Smiling and laughing with them.
He stared, unable to make himself move even a little. The hero didn’t notice them standing there. It was a late night, with nothing but a few street lights on. The roads empty, his head full.
The hero was inside a restaurant, while the villain stood behind a building, ready to attack them. But, this. This. This was not what he expected. His blood boiled, daring him to go snatch the hero from the person. Tell the hero that he belongs to him, and no one else.
Before he could think what he was doing, his body moved on its own. Stumbling through the empty road, he didn’t see a truck coming towards him. And, his body went flying through the cold air and back down. Blood spit out of his head, and all around him, but all he could see as he tilted his head to the right side was the hero’s smiling face. Unaware of his presence, unaware of his existence. He called out, but the hero didn’t hear.
He screamed.
In the end, he was alone. Like always.

“You can’t be serious right? You want to fight me just because I took down your favorite bakery shop?!” The villain exclaimed in disbelief, their jaw wide open.
The hero didn’t falter, frowning with their eyebrows and lips. “It had the best banana bread! You can’t just do that and not expect me to come find your ass!” The hero said, defensively.
The villain couldn’t help but find it cute, as they let out a laugh. “How about I promise to buy you the best bakery shop in the world?”
The hero took a step forward. “It doesn’t matter. I want the one that you destroyed.”
“I didn’t know.” The villain sighed, feeling like a helpless parent that had thrown an old toy of their child away, and now the child wanted it back.
The hero jabbed their finger to the villain’s chest, squinting their eyes. “You pay the owner to build it back, and I won’t fight you.” They demanded, staring daggers into the villain’s eyes.
“Fine.” The villain mumbled, after thinking for a second.
“Fine?” The hero questioned, not being able to believe the villain’s words.
The villain nodded. “Yes, fine.”
“You promise?” The hero asked, smiling slightly, as their hand smoothed over the villain’s chest.
“Yes, I promise, hero.” The villain smiled reluctantly as well.
And they indeed did help the owner rebuild the shop, an even bigger one just to see that gleaming smile on the hero’s face when they suggested it.
Oh, and they also had many dates in the shop.

The villain swore they could smell the hero's very prominent cologne in the dark office, and they had to resist the urge to not take every little thing away with them.
But no, they were on a mission. And they needed to focus, or else the supervillain would-
"You're the recruit, aren't you?" Someone spoke up, the voice was deep and smooth. They sounded amused.
The vilian froze, in the process of sniffing the hero's coat that hung on the chair behind their desk. They look up, alerted and took out their gun. The person walked closer, and their face glowed under the moonlight. The villain’s eyes widened when they saw who it was.
The hero grinned. "Relax. I'm in no mood to fight."
The villain’s heart beat wildly in their chest. They didn't lower the gun, scared and in awe at the same time. The hero was even more good-looking in person as if that was possible. They gulped, and when the hero didn't come closer, they lowered the gun slowly.
The hero's grin only broadened. "Care to tell me why you were sniffing around my coat?" The villain's face immediately went scarlet, their heart dropping in their stomach. '
"Uhh…" They started. "I was searching…for potential information about your- next mission?" They really hadn't meant for it to come out as a question, but it did anyway and they cursed under their breath.
"And what is this crucial information you would find in there?" The hero played along, cocking their head to the side.
The villain opened their mouth and closed it, not sure how to tell the hero they were…curious. Well, curious is putting it lightly, they were obsessed, really. "Good question." They said, a second later.
The hero looked more entertained by the minute. They took a few more steps that brought them right in front of the villain, meeting their eyes. The hero's eyes were gray, like the moon, and glowing with mirth.
The villain checked out the hero before they could stop themself, their mouth drying at the sight.
The hero chuckled, "You're terrible at keeping a blank face. A really bad quality for a vilian if I say so myself."
Okay. That's it. Everything they had read about the hero was wrong. The hero wasn't stoic and ruthless as listed in their 'bio', they were something worse: flirty and dangerously good-looking.
