Hello Tumblr Community,
I am sending this appeal amidst the horrofic Gaza war, calling for help to save my family.
My name is Waleed Ayman Alanqar, 27, a father, husband and respected Electrical Engineer from Gaza Strip. I had a peacefull life along with my beloved wife, Areej, 23, and my precious 3-year old son, Ayman.
Sadly, our lives have been devastated since the beginning of the war. We have been forced to leave the comfort of our house to seek shelter in a safer place, but unfortunately, it turned out that there's no such a thing as a "safe place" in Gaza. Now, we are in a state of constant movement and displacement.
With all the dangers looming around and with the constant state of fear and uncertainity, I have become deeply worried about the safety of my family. For that reason, I have decided to turn to you, Tumblr community, for help. Please, help me raise the necessary funds to safely evacuate my family from war-torn Gaza.
Your donation, no matter how small, can spare our lives from utter devastation. If you cannot donate, please share our story and make the world hear our cry!
In this post, I'll explain in details how the war affected our lives and changed them forever.
11 months ago, we have left our memories in our sweet home to seek refuge in a safer place. Since then, we have not seen our house again! In addition, I have been informed that our memories have been crushed and our home has been damaged! For a small family like us, home means everything. It means warmth, comfort and safety. It is all gone!
My beloved son, Ayman, is now 3 years old, which means that he literally lived the third of his life in war! As a father, I am not only worried about the safety and survival of my precious child, but also about the psychological impacts on him. I want my child to grow up in safe and proper environment. It is his right!
Before the war, I used to work as an electrical engineer at a big tech company. I was advancing fast in my career and dreaming of establishing my own company someday, however; my dreams are now vanished. I no longer work. My savings have been drained out. All I am thinking about now is how to secure my family and ensure their survival.
In this war, I have realized that hunger can be the harshest of your pains and the worst of your enemies. I might be able to endure starvation, but I cannot see my kid going through such a pain! Sadly, we are suffering from the lack of food and other necessities and sky-rocketing prices. Believe me, being a father in such circumustances can be a very challenging task!
As described in this post, shifts are various states of feeling like your kintype. They’re usually involuntary, but shifts can be induced purposefully for a variety of reasons. If you can’t think of any reasons, sensory memory is a good place to start. You know how you can smell something or hear a song and be transported to a certain time in your life? This sort of memory isn’t visual, but more of an emotion associated with a sensation. Inducing phantom or sensory shifts is a good way to attempt recall of sensory memories.
Something that should be noted about any sort of memory recall, induced by shifts or not, is that false memories exist. Maybe your kintype had a perfect memory, but if you don’t, things are bound to get lost in translation from the transition into your body. Be careful with memories and always assume they could be inaccurate.
Back to shifts, you could attempt to mentally recreate any sensations you’ve felt from any sort of shift. If you’re having trouble with phantom shifts, practice focusing your attention on a physical body part before you try with an astral limb.
I’ve found recalling any visual kin memories you have to be helpful in inducing mental shifts. Truly feel yourself inside those memories, like you’re reliving it inside your mind. Continue this for as long as you need to (or want to!) and don’t get discouraged if nothing happens right away.
Dream shifts can’t really be done purposefully without knowledge of lucid dreaming. The best advice I can give for lucid dreaming is start by writing down your dreams, then if you notice that you’re dreaming (which can be easy or hard depending on a variety of factors) find a way to tell your dream-self you’re dreaming. One of the most common ways is to look down at your fingers and move them. This skill takes practice and you won’t start dream shifting right away. There are books on the subject of lucid dreaming if you’re interested in more than just dream shifts.
If you want to try and induce a cameo shift, know you’re not going to magically pick up another kintype by doing so. If you’re prone to thinking any shifts indicate a new kintype, I’d advise not doing this and instead exploring your current kintypes and seeing if they’re all relevant to you. Cameo shifts can be induced with any shift, or many shifts, but with sensations different from any of your kintypes.

Hello, my name is Rola, and I am a mother of two children living in the Gaza Strip. Our lives were once filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. But everything changed on October 7th, when the war shattered not only our home but our entire world.
That morning, my family and I were enjoying coffee together on the balcony. Out of nowhere, an explosion erupted, shaking our home violently. My husband and son ran for cover, falling over each other in panic, while I stood frozen, still holding my cup, unable to process the chaos around me. When I looked out the window, I saw that our neighbor’s house, once filled with life, had been reduced to rubble. Ambulances rushed to the scene as people scrambled to rescue the injured and pull bodies from the debris.
The bombings didn’t stop. At night, the rain poured heavily, and the cold seeped into our bones. I stayed awake, covering my children to keep them warm and praying for their safety. But safety is an illusion here. Another explosion shattered the night, and our neighbors’ home was destroyed. Their children, who had been sleeping peacefully under a blanket, were found lifeless, their cover soaked in blood.
I looked at my children with tears in my eyes and thought, How can I protect you? We had to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We left behind my children’s toys, their clothes, and their beautiful bedroom. Everything we had worked so hard to build is gone.
Our Current Reality Now, we are displaced and living in a nightmare. Food is scarce, and prices are unimaginably high—$10 for a kilo of sugar! The fear of death hangs over us constantly. My children deserve a life of joy and hope, not one defined by fear and loss. Why can’t we live like everyone else—go to work, visit family, and watch our children play in safety? Why do our children have to grow up surrounded by death and destruction?
How You Can Help I am pleading for your kindness to help us rebuild our lives. We need your support to: 💔 Rebuild our home, so my children can feel safe again. 🌍 Evacuate from Gaza, seeking a future where my family can live with dignity. 🩺 Provide urgent medical care for my children, who need protection from this nightmare.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference. If you can’t donate, please share my story. Every share brings us closer to hope.
What Your Support Means Your kindness is not just about helping us survive; it’s about giving us a chance to dream again. To rebuild what we’ve lost and to ensure my children have a future filled with possibilities, not fear.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support means the world to us. Let’s work together to rebuild hope, one step at a time.
🌸 Please share our story and consider donating today. 🌸
hi everyone! you may have seen my other post going around regarding commissions for food money and bills! however our situation has gotten a bit more dire. we are being cut off financially, and this is putting us at risk of being homeless again. (which would mean potentially rehoming our kitty, lulu as well) so we are forced to ask with greater urgency if anyone can please help.
for donations, even $1 helps! i am willing to draw you anything. all donations will get something as long as you message me afterwards so i know where to send the artwork! i will also do tarot and pendulum readings upon request.
