Can people stop acting like Huseie is incapable of being serious and that everything they do or say has to be a joke?

I just saw a take from a certain account that Hussie had to have been joking about liking June Egbert because "Hussie liked to troll everyone and lived on the old internet where edgy jokes happened all the time so he would NEVER make June happen unless its a joke."

For one people change, just cause someone used to be edgy and shit doesn't mean they can't change all. Secondly, this is fucking homestuck we are talking about, a piece of media where queer topics are broached extremely often and perdonally I don't see someone who would "NEVER" do June being this fucking queer. Finally several people in contact with her have said it was one of the only headcanons that made them excited.

Yes Hussie can be an asshole but no that isn't the only thing they are. They wrote a fantastic, emotionally fulfilling story and prople who write off certain analysis of the series just because "oh Hussie didn't take it that seriously" is just stupid, especially when there are many part of the series they did write with sincerity.

Anyway Homestuck is actually well written (shocker I know)

How I see my class and aspect as a thief of void

woah okay sooo im gonna start with aspect cause that's easier for me to understand and explain why i think it's litterally me.

the voidy stuff!

so the only ways Ive seen void explained is "confusion, unaware, subjectivity" and vague stuff like that whish uh, yeah it's right ig, both light and void are based around their own understanding of things. but it feels like others focus too much on that. void players tend to be confident in what they do understand(or at least I am), even if it may not be a lot or very useful.

cannon examples being: equius with robots, roxy with actually quite a bit(others relationships, the window things, ect.) uhh cant remember any void players lmfao,

also another thing people tend to ignore is that they are hard to understand/ make sense of. once again with equius just overall being veiwed as "oh no, its THAT guy" and roxy just cannonically being imposible to explain/read by dirk. also he never even asked??? so that's part of the issue people dont just ask, most void players would just answer if people asked. like dude??? we dont fucking hide how we feel, its just that others dont even like, put in effort to know. alsowhile im kinda on a tangent about how people dont ask, void players are kinda like "dont ask, dont tell." (haha refference to homophobia) unless they see it as important or relavant. I alos just dont have a lot of oppinions on things that do actually affect me, but that is prolly jsut more of a me thing than void as a whole.

okay quick thing on why Im not a witch and why I think online quizes keep forcing that apon me with some random ass aspect (THE ASPECT CHANGES ALMOST EVERY TIME :SOB: )

witches tend to not understand that they're doing something wrong/ they just see that what they're doing MIGHT help them, so they do it. they over all do their best to do what they think makes sense without like trying to explain why it makes sense ig(?) witches also dont seem to have many strong oppinions on others outside of every one of their friends is the best, or every one else is either unimportant and does not matter enough to even CONSIDER taking into account when coming up with a possibly confusing plan. while thief's tend to get ahead of themselves they do understand that a complicated plan can go wrong WAY more than a simple one, arvhams razor or whatever.

as explained in the silly brochure thingy that i have spent too much time rereading (lnked on the masterlist thing for classpecting posts in pinned thingy) thief's are also working on higher stakes. focused on an end goal instead of the specifics of what leads us there. which unfortunately leads us to completely ignoring why and who we might've hurt to get us to the end goal. also in the brochure thing it mentioned how thief's work against what they think is how society works (?) (meenah wanting to live on a moon cause of reasons I cant remember, and vriska just in general viewing people as just boring or unimportant) for a thief, theirs them and then theirs everyone else with zero overlap. when a thief get's to close to being like their perception of everyone else they force themselves out of it so it becomes a weird cycle of "woah these people are great" and "these people are making me soft, uhoh gotta fix that"

when in relation to my lunar sway, I'm a prospitian. (woagh) which yikes black and white thinking, and I think i fucking need a good reason for doing things. or at least a reason I think is good. lmao

all together I tend to get uncomfy with people actually understanding and being set on things ESSPECIALLY MORALS. i overall view most people as more mature than me. as in they understand what they view as bad. I like philosophy and the open ended questions that come with it. I'm not really attached to any specific religion or ideas. I do like absurdism on solipsism though. subjectivity is a huge thing for me, it's just that others usually are super strict on what they see as real or true. honestly my only rules/morals for myself are dont hurt others unless it's necessary, and anything is okay as long as you feel good about it and arent ACTUALLY hurting others (as in fuck around and find out, BUT DO NOT ACTUALLY TOUCH OR INTERACT WITH PEOPLE WHO TOUCH REAL KIDS OR ANIMALS YOU SICKF UCK)

I didn't disrespect Roxy's pronouns. I wasn't even talking about roxy?? But also I was writing the original post on about 4 ish hours of sleep at most, so I kept going back and fourth between he/him and she/her for june. I'll admit I did fuck up on that part,,, june said that she was emotionally cheating on roxy with the younger Terezi and claimed that roxy was doing the same with caliope.

Andrew hussie said several times that he genuinely agreed on june being trans.

As for the classpect,

You can absolutely be a girl in a male dominant class. Think of it kinda like how most babysitters are girls, but there obviously are still guys who are also babysitters. (Not the best analogy, but idk how else to explain that.) When it comes to classpecting it really is just taking what little we get in Canon and guesstimating from there.

As for you being a sylph of heart specifically, I think that heart still doesn't feel accurate. At least not paired with sylph. But obv how you veiw yourself and your classpect is always gonna be wayyy more accurate than what either any tests or what I may say. I really recommend you check out the classpecting brochure and go from there ^^ (I can send you a link to it if you want, but the website it's on has had a lot of ads and has been pretty obnoxious to use lately)

I hate @/davekat-sucks. Like, they're all open to their oppinions and good for them or whatever when it comes to that.

But they're trying to put social rules and laws on a fictional world that go off of completely different rules.

When it comes to the incest jokes and pedophile stuff, I can see why they're upset. I usually don't mind that kinda stuff but the creators of hs:bc kinda shoved it in there in a weird way and it felt icky.

They say "roxy is a pedophile, because Caliope is emotionally stunted." And everyone in their asks acts like was they say is scripture. (I am slightly overexagerating but you get my point)

Caliope and Roxy aren't even dating. They don't even have feeling for eachother. Calliope quite litterally can't, and in Homestuck Roxy learned about that and was okay with it. Calliope isn't even a child btw. Her cheeks aren't filled in because Caliborn never died. That doesn't mean she's a child emotionally or whatever. She grew up just like Roxy and the others did. The ring making it so she doesn't age does make sense but I don't think it can really be used to say Roxy is a pedophile, seeing they don't like eachother like that.

June did say that she emotionally cheated on him, but he was locked in his house for God knows how long without talking to either of them. He doesn't know shit about what's going on between them.

As for June being a pedophile,,,, I can't defend that one. I dunno why the authors made that decision,,,, bleh.

June's dad was being supportive of his kid!!! How would he even know his kid was trans if his kid wasn't even aware herself???? Like it happens all the time. My dad never hesitated to supporting me being feminine, and when I came out, he was in full support of me being more masculine!!!

And vriska, while yes, does have a habit of pushing people to do things before their ready, she can't force a guy into being transgender. No one can!! As a light player, she tends to understand or realize things about people before even they know it themselves. That doesn't mean what she sees in people is just what she wants out of them, it just means she's impatient and tries to get it out of them as soon as possible. And btw. Vriska didn't even say anything about her being a girl?? She put a bunch of Os in John. (I didn't know when I originally reblogged their post, so I did just look it up rq)

Had to look it up to find someone more competent in explaining june being trans, so if you're interested here ya go. It doesnt go into the canonicity of her being trans or the in-story evidence unfortunately i think its still interesting to see where it comes from.

Ps. I got really pissed having to read through their stuff so to get myself to feel better I did classpect them. Keep in mind, I am absolutely biased against them, and I am only going off of their posts. These guys tend to be all over the place, or at least seem like it.

They are strong willed, and usually have some kind of moral compass or ideals that may or may not actually make sense. They have big egos (but also tend to be really self deprecating) and if they're the one to do something, they are automatically right, even if they wrecked something they weren't actually supposed to. They tend to be kind of obnoxious cause of that.

If someone gets to know them, they could prolly be chill as long as they aren't preaching about their own ideals and why they are better (even though they might suck).

Their weapons usually are something medium to large in size. The details and specific kinds of weapons really depend on the aspect.
