As somebody who has struggled with mental health all of their life and still does, Jinx's romance with Ekko means the world to me.
I'm sick and tired of people considering mentally ill people just "not interested in love" or, on the other side, "not healthy enough to be loved". Which is utterly stupid. Ekko falling for Powder but clearly showing signs of wanting to learn more about Jinx and on his way to love her too, realizing that her damaged past and issues do change her but she's still his girl. It's brilliant writing.
He can't be a savior to her, because there's nothing to save. There's nothing to fix. The whole message Jayce gives with "there's beauty in imperfections" goes hand in hand with Powder's "sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". Ekko goes from wanting to save her to wanting to see more of her and leaving Powder behind to know about Jinx. With Ekko loving Jinx nevertheless it shows that mentally ill people can be loved. And with Powder reciprocating and Jinx making amends with Ekko (with the romantic context behind already seen) it's breaking the whole stereotype of her being this "insane maniac with no remorse and unable to show love".
So I guess what I want to say is that their relationship would've worked in another universe, but I want to believe it could've worked in this one (with time), too.
if you’re open to a doodle suggestion while doing your challenge, would you grace us once more with sapphic Drarry?
I’m obsessed with their designs 😩💕 Also curious what type of outfits they’d each rock (not gonna lie I 100% bet that Harry would still dress similarly to her male counterpart).
SAY LESS
I definitely agree!! I don't think there'd be much of difference for Harry. I imagine she still grew up with Dudley's (even more oversized now) hand-me-downs and would probably feel very awkward in super feminine clothes. I think she'd still prioritized comfort over style and lean into masc looks when older too. (Like baggy jeans, sweaters & hoodies, oversized t-shirts/ plaid shirts/ jackets, sneakers)
As for Draco, I don't think she'd be all that different either. I feel like during Hogwarts she'd still want to emulate Lucius, albeit maybe more willing to flaunt her status through high-quality clothing and jewelry. Post-war though I can see her adopting more of Narcissa's simple but refined style combined with formal mugglewear. (Lots of blouses and blazers and heeled boots for sureee)

Justifying the marauders being bullies is not only shitty and biased on the marauders fans part, but also contradictory to the Harry Potter franchise. I find it so funny seeing fans attempt to justify them as if their entire story isnt supposed to be a plot device for Harry, as if the bullying isn't supposed to shatter all of Harry's superficial views on his parents, and make him realize how truly shitty they had been. Or more specifically, how shitty James had been.
" What was making Harry so horrified and unhappy, was not being shouted at or having jars thrown at him, it was that he knew how it felt to be humiliated in the middle of a circle of on lookers, knew exactly how Snape had felt as his father had taunted him. And that judging from what he had just seen, his father had been every bit as arrogant as Snape had always told him. "
" I wouldn't like you to judge your father on what you saw there, Harry. He was only fifteen--"
"Im fifteen," said Harry heatedly.
The entire premise is supposed to be about Harry. Harry's realization, Harry coming to terms with reality. So you denying that the marauders were bullies is denying Harry's arc, its denying a whole plot point in the books. Regardless if you like Snape or not, one fact is clear, the marauders were bullies, they were all shitty people, Sirius' selfishness, Remus being the definition of a deadbeat, Peter being well, Peter. And James being the bully and bigot that he were, alongside the other marauders aswell.
Also its fine to enjoy the fanon versions, i do aswell. But its also important to acknowledge that they were shitty people and we shouldn't condemn them. Especially if you're talking about the bullying, because attempting to diminish someone's harassment is really low considering these are all fictional characters, whilst bullying is a real active issue.
You know what I find interesting? Both James and Sev stopped doing bad things for Lily, but while Sev stopped despite never being able to actually have Lily (first because she still loved James and then because she was literally dead), James does it because he gets to have her. Another difference is that Sev shows that while at first his reason was Lily he starts to do more than the bare minimum of leaving the death eaters and becomes a spy risking his life every day. He also starts to identify with the values of the good side, like telling P. N.Black to not call Hermione a mudblood. On the other hand, we have James who can't even commit fully to not bullying because he still bullies Sev behind Lily's back, knowing she will leave him if she finds out. He only stops because they leave school and Sev is therefore out of reach. And despite Lily actually marrying him and having a child with him he still doesn't grow up for her and still acts like a self-centred idiot like when he sneaks out while they are in hiding (risking his and his wife's as well and most importantly his son's life which they are trying to protect).
So to conclude, on the one hand we have a guy who doesn't change despite “getting the girl” and on the other hand we have a guy who changes despite never being able to “get the girl” or even save her life (I know Sev didn't completely change and still has a lot of flaws, but most of them are due to trauma, and he needed help to change which he never got. So maybe stop hating on him and start hating on the system he was stuck in and denyed him the help he needed).

Severus: *holds sign that says ‘prom?’ outside Gryffindor tower*
James: holy shit, yes!
Severus, yelling: no, tell Lily!
James: Lily, I’m going to prom with Severus!
Lily: …
Lily: okay!
