Day 2: Sinensis As A “formal Apology”

my second surprise box from @shiftythrifting arrived today! this one is nintendo theme!

I got a really nice Wario figure, a mcdonalds Yoshi, a mcdonalds mario kart Toad, a Bob-omb whose crank comes out, a small shell guy key chain (not sure what his official name is but he's cute!), and a loot crate inkling squid plush! Plus; a recipe card, a japanese digimon card, a tmnt card, and some stickers! This all is super cool and I love it!!

So Cypress was a bright-eyed fae who wanted nothing more than to save people. Their power developed when they were twelve, the average age for more vocal-based powers. And they were thrust into the spotlight. As soon as it was acceptable, POINT scooped Cypress up, having them create the hero title of “Galant Cadence”. The reason, however, was less than pure. POINT saw Cypress as a threat. A fae with such powerful siren magic? Fae were known tricksters, and too many recorded to be villains. They wanted to keep an eye on this powerful being. They didn't treat them well as a result and brought them on as little missions as they could. No need for a villain to spark inspiration in the young one.

Resent grew, but.... they held it in. These were their friends, their allies. They became close with Carol when she joined, finally making one friend in all this. She made it all almost worth it.

All this secrecy went on until they found correspondence that detailed what they were doing to them. That they thought of them as a villain. Carol never knew. She was only a junior member, after all.

The night after Laserblast, Gar, and Carol all went on the sandwich incident mission- Cypress stood up for themselves. They couldn't stand up to Laser- and Carol had already left. But they wouldn't miss their chance with the rest. Hit them while they're down. They all thought they were a villain? They'd be a villain. Cypress was known as Atonal Dissonance from then on, just doing whatever they thought would be "bad". They were no longer that bright-eyed kid who joined POINT. They were a siren who wanted nothing but others to feel the pain they did.

They'd appear in various photos Carol keeps from her time in POINT. Flashbacks too, with hints of their fate, sprinkled about. They show up in their villain form during a musical episode. Their goal is to ruin Carol for her betrayal, as Cypress had been boiling about their friend's betrayal for years, and had finally found her. They find Carol knew nothing about the betrayal and this is the first the mother learned about it. Cypress leaves to contemplate this.... They end up neutral at the end of their character arc, realizing not everyone was terrible to them. But, not fully wanting to go back to hero-hood. They call themselves "Falsetto" now.

Long time no art post! (I swear I’m still alive). To celebrate Gemsona-HQ’s six year anniversary, I opened up gemsona requests for the first time in years. I originally planned to only pick a few and do very basic doodles, but I got way too enthusiastic seeing everyone’s gemsona designs and, well, here we are. :’D Better late than never, I suppose! I also got really excited when I realized I could turn this into a gemsona rainbow.

No reason fan fusion between Yellow Diamond and Rhodonite; Coffinite

A totally for-fun fan fusion of the lovely @ask-whitepearl-and-steven ‘s Sea Glass and Moissanite; Merlinite! A devious, plotting pirate snake lady. If you haven’t read their comic, go do it! It’s super good.

All the various gems in Homeworld Bound! Some notes:

The Zircons from the Trial are okay and seem to be running for some form of election. Mayhaps the president of homeworld?

There's a big shot of the throne room with some distance gems. We can see a Jade and a Ruby together, Lemon Jade seemingly okay and fused, a quartz soldier and one of the unidentified green gems from the era 3 ball, and the tour group.

The tour group has a plum pearl with a forehead gem giving the tour. (I left two shots here to give you a view of her gem). We can also see a squareidot and a sapphire in this group.

A wall gem seems to be free to roam! And three pebbles are seen outside of Pink's room

The two gems Yellow heals are currently unknown. The orange one seems to be a nose gem and the blue one is a chest gem. They seem to know each other.

Also the fact that Yellow seems to be able to go into a bubble without popping it? But off topic.

Cherry Quartz and an Aquamarine seem to be hanging out on the happiness clouds Blue has.
