Rewatching the first few episodes of 02 in the sub makes me realize how much I fucking hate their dub voices š
In the sub Takeru's voice is very nice, I like it a lot and I cannot stand listening to Takeru's dubbed voice when rewatching a clip on YouTube of it, and I don't even like Takeru
Absolutely love Daisuke's subbed voice, his dubbed voice is okay but I absolutely hated how they trashed his character in the dub
Iori had a cute voice and fitted how he was the youngest there instead of the dubbed version where it sounded very forced to sound like a young kid and failing at it, it sounded as if he constantly had smoke in his throat in the dub
Miyako, I have mixed feelings but I already like her voice better than I did in the dub, I actually hated how they handled her character in the dub so hopefully the sub will give me something to enjoy about Miyako
Also have mixed feelings for Hikari since I don't like what they did with her in 02(in my opinion she was better in Adventure) but her voice is cute
Ken(or the Kaiser in this case since I haven't gotten far enough to get to the normal Ken), I really liked it but imma wait to see if I still like it or nah cause Iām feeling indecisive if I like it or not rn
Also as an honorable mention, absolutely LOVED Tailmon's voice, it really gave off a wise mature mentor vibe to it which really fits Tailmon compared to the voice they gave Gatomon. It also really made sense considering what happened in her past, especially the abuse she went through with Vamdemon
why yes, I am indeed a part of 3 different fandoms where 90% of the fanbase screams about how two seasons are the best and the rest all suck ass (they just hate whimsy and fun)
People who infantilize characters with trauma, I immediately donāt trust
I absolutely love how in canon both Takuya and Daisuke are shorter than everyone on their team(Iori and Tomoki are exceptional cause theyāre younger, tho I think Hikari is either the same height as Daisuke or just a little bit shorter) and yet there are so many fanfiction writers who make them taller than they really are š
Like I shit you not, I see so many fanfictions where Takuya is fucking taller than Izumi and maybe sometimes taller than Kouji, nah the bitch is fucking SMALL. If I could cry for every time I saw a fanfic where Daisuke was somehow taller than Ken and/or Takeru then I would be crying a fucking sea.
Iām finally posting art again, yaaay!
My little story for them is that they live in a world where all human beings have the elements of nature in their blood, and all the elements donāt really get along with one another and the only time they do get along is when they have to work together against something. Enemies to Lovers typāa beat and they also have an accidental child, their child is named Ashes and he was created by Hydro accidentally almost turning Flareās whole arm to ashes. Ashes is a teenager while Flare and Hydro are both adults, Ashes is also in the custody of Flare as he was the main cause of his birth(I guess Flare is the mother??)
I hate it when the happy ending for characters with trauma is that they get into a relationship with someone, getting into a relationship doesnāt just suddenly erase the traumatic memories and experiences.
Trauma isnāt something that just goes away because someone now loves and cares about you, sure it may hurt less but itās still there at the back of your mind, so itās very upsetting when a character is suddenly okay now that theyāre in a relationship. ā¹ļø
Also, I donāt like when people make it seem like the other person understands their suffering, because no they donāt. They can sympathize sure, but they cannot understand the pain and horrors they went through. This is why a ship from a current fandom Iām in is a NOTP of mine, itās because of the fact that this dynamic is literally the whole thing with that pairing.
Iām really indecisive about if I think āoh wow, I love this character so much they deserve nothing bad to happen to themā or āman I love this character so much, I wanna hurt them :]ā about my favorite character(s)
