when I learn how to draw backgrounds it's game over for all of you
Zuko has lightning scars
But not just on his chest. Everytime he redirects lightning the current going through his fingers, down his arms, across his body and out through his other hand is so great that it leaves nerve damage on the tips of his fingers, where the the lightning enters his body.
And with this nerve damage comes small thin and long scars that run down his fingers and along his forearms before they begin to fade. I just think it's a really cool character design, especially with the colour of his lightning scars ( the one on his chest would look like a starburst of white instead of the reddish hue after it heals properly) and that scar on his chest also spans out to a larger area.
Everytime he redirects lightning bc azula is cray cray the tips of his fingers become a harsh red temporarily and steam rolls off of his body as he cools down. His hair becomes frazzled from the amount of electricity he's holding.
There's so much more character design potential with zuko. I love it when I see artists draw zuko with more scars other than the ones his face and chest.
Forever obsessed w the idea of hawks getting hit by a quirk that swaps him temporarily with his post canon self while in a meeting with Dabi,,,
Dabi starts hard crushing on this older, rougher and more serious Hawks and Hawks tries to cope with this ghost of the past, the ghost of his late husband.
And Dabi thinks Hawks' ring is from a woman so he (kinda jealously, but also curiously) asks Hawks abt 'her' and Hawks just looks at him like he is dumb but not in a 'im gay ' way bc to me he is bi but in a 'how could it be anyone other than you? ' way
yk?
Real because, how can you forgive a villain who's killed 30+ civilians in cold blood, but not a man who's actively trying to ammend what he broke years ago ??
Both are terrible, by the way. Endeavor shouldn't get away with abuse, of course, but what will clear his name again ? Like, what does he have to DO for you to be satisfied ? Like where is the line drawn if you can forgive an active serial killer, but not an abuser who wants to atone for his actions ??
There's just so much nuance to it, it's not black and white, like with villains, sure they kill people, but they're also actively dismantling the society that shunned them. Most people can see why the villain feels justified. Endeavor abused his family, but he's trying to ammend that. Why can't people just see it for what it is mannnnn š
He's literally willing to step out of their lives if it puts them at ease because he now understands how much he put them through, that he doesn't deserve to be a part of their lives anymore because he ruined the first half of them.
Usually, when people want a redemption arc, the WHOLE POINT of the redemption is for that character to understand where they went wrong. And then the next step is for the character to ammend their mistakes.
IS THAT NOT WHAT ENDEAVOR IS DOING ??
just saw another endeavor hate post so please let me reiterate again: i love endeavor. you will never take this fucked up old man away from me. i will be writing endeavor fic one of these days and i hope it makes everyone who hates him mad
call me crazy if you want but i believe that supporters of villain redemption canāt complain about endeavor being redeemed. and everyone should in some respect support villain redemption because thatās something of a thesis throughout the show (i.e., all these people needed was someone to reach out to them). but if you can redeem a killer of dozens (or hundreds, or thousands) and yet canāt stomach a man who is doing everything he knows how to heal what he hurt? [points at door] go away
ākats he abused hisāā i donāt care. do i need to bring back my post about how forgiveness is essential to oneās own growth. even if they donāt forgive him, heās fine with that because heās not trying to improve to win their forgiveness. heās trying to improve because deep down heās a good person. and that, sirs and madams, is what i care about
in short: endeavor i love you and the fandom can pry that love from my cold dead hands
Please donate to her cause !!!

HERE'S MY MAN! OR SHOULD I SAY MY HUSBAND HAWKS!!!!!
Crackfic Idea:
30-year-old Zuko gets randomly flung back in time to his 16-year-old self. For a couple of hours at a time. At the most random times imaginable. Imagine the potential.
Zuko assumes that it's a dream or a vision, but definitely not real. He tries not to freak everybody out too badly, but he's also fully enjoying himself and seeing all of his friends as their young selves.
ZUKO, as he and Aang circle each other at the South Pole: I've spent years preparing for this encounter. Training, meditating. You're just a [Spirit Shwoop Sound] ... baby Aang!
AANG, confused: Well, more like preteen Aang. How do you know my name?
ZUKO, looking around: Wait, where are we?
AANG: Um... this is the-
SOKKA: Don't answer him! He's trying to get information out of you. You can't give away our location!
KATARA: Sokka, he's standing in the middle of our village. I think he knows.
ZUKO: We're here? This is so weird. I was just here for the Annual Penguin Race.
AANG: THERE'S AN ANNUAL PENGUIN RACE?!
ZUKO: Well, yeah, it was your idea... you gave a whole speech about cross-cultural cooperation and friendship, but I know you just wanted to go penguin sledding with a bunch of people...
AANG: Well, I-
SOKKA: Stop giving him more information! He already knows about the penguins!
Everybody else is confused, bewildered and even befuddled except for Iroh, who assumes that it's Spirit Shenanigansā¢ļø and just fully accepts that his nephew likes tea and hugs and Pai Sho sometimes while being his usual shouty surly traumaball self at others.
ZUKO, stepping into the cabin: Hi, Uncle. I brought you some ginseng. How about a game of Pai Sho?
IROH, tearing up a little: I would love that, my nephew.
ZUKO: I wish we could do this more often, but you live so far away...
IROH, mentally calculating that he lives exactly three doors away from Zuko, and nodding sagely: The rat-viper may never climb the mountain that a hog-monkey can, but the monkey does not know what lies underneath it.
ZUKO, sighing sadly: I know, Uncle. I do appreciate my position in life, even if it has disadvantages.
IROH: Hmm. Your move, nephew.
The crew of Zuko's ship is terrified by the fact that whenever it happens, Zuko is somehow even more hyper-competent, seems to be weirdly calm about everything, and most unnervingly of all, he's polite.
SOLDIER: Here is a report on the best teahouses within three days travel of our current location, Sir. And, uh, Commander Zhao sent a messenger hawk.
ZUKO: Excellent. Thank you very much, Sergeant. I think we can ignore whatever Zhao has to say. In reply, I want you to send him a list of the most famous officers in Fire Nation history, and point out that none of them had sideburns. I want to see if he shaves them.
SOLDIER, sweating nervously: O-of course, Sir.
As a matter of fact, the whole fic could just be Zuko trolling Zhao. It would be glorious.
Band au Toga playing this????
