Curate, connect, and discover
I just realized I've posted the first three out of order! welp! not fixing that... the speech under each sketch ↓↓↓ is my comments from the videos themselves that I'm reposting along with the sketch. because no one reads the description. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
🧿The first song I got was (unfortunately) [カラカラカラのカラ] or [Emptiness, Emptiness, Emptiness of Emptiness] by the amazing kikuo. While it's an amazing song, I had no idea how to illustrate it. I decided to follow Occam's Razor and just took some notes from the original pv.

🧿 I always adore NayutalieN's style of music, starstruck (heh) and youthful rock at its finest! Strato Stella is one of their first songs and one of their most vague in meaning. most of their songs usually cover themes of young folk struggling with communicating their feelings but this is one of their rare melancholic tracks (which I adore more). I had to capture the starcrossed (HEH) lovers spoken of in this song. I took some liberties with colors and designs because I believe Strato's back is the only thing we saw in the og pv. welp.

🧿After being stuck in an almost 4-year long art block, I'm attempting the challenge of illustrating 100 of my favorite Vocaloid songs to break said block. I was heavily inspired by the wonderful Taranto Yakima , as she illustrated 100 of her favorite Miku songs and not only succeded, but she is now doing bonus illustrations! such tenacity!
🧿 Owata-p! One of the biggest Vocaloid veterans! With an unexpected addition to his benzene series! always assumed that the series had come to an end with toluene, and yet here we are. I know, it doesn't look like an addition to that series but every part of the series shows a little blurb in the video explaining how the chemical is related to the benzene chemical compound, and so does this one. The Benzene series has always meant a lot to me when it comes to really teaching myself self-examination and reflection. This one is no different, it feels like it's more pointed to the more recent state of affairs caused by the online space. The sugar-coating and escapism that is caused by the internet to avoid how bad things are becoming today. It is understandable, yet the song points out that it could become a self-fulfilling cycle if this continues without examination and efforts to fix it!
