damn guys another year, 2023 was good for my artworks even though you didn't get to see all of it, not as good for my animated projects but I'll get to that in 2024 hopefully

I drew this last December, but didn't even remember to take a picture of it.
This is a redraw of two of my favorite homestuck panels! I really enjoyed working with the colors and focusing on the direction / flow of my lines.
i kept forgetting to post these Roxy sketches from the end of December, here they are! I wanted to draw them all godtiered :D
FFXIV doodles
I started playing Final Fantasy 14 a week ago, here's some scribbles I made of my character Rosliet starting her adventure :D (+ a screenshot of her in game for referene)
Since then she's become a level 30 Arcanist, carbuncle is her best friend
I've had a lot of thoughts about Rosliet since I made her, at some point I want to do a more polished drawing of her and talk more about what I've come up with for her character ^^
I've included an early game screenshot of Rosliet below the readmore, for if anyone wants to know what she looks like in game!

When I first started on this series of illustrations for Aquaria, I'd originally planned for the Kelp Forest to be the first thing I'd draw, since it's possibly my favorite area in the game. I came up with all these ambitious plans for a 2-page spread with as many creatures from the kelp forest as I could fit included, but then I got stuck actually trying to implement them all. I decided to put aside the Kelp Forest for later, and started with a simpler illustration instead.
I came back to the Kelp Forest last week with this new batch of thumbnails, this time much smaller in scale since I wanted to get it done before the end of the year. I'm honestly not entirely happy with the end result, so I might take another shot at this next year if I get the time.
The Veil
here's a bunch of the thumbnails I made for this one! It took me a little while to decide between above the water VS underwater, but I knew I wanted to focus on the sun and the surface of the ocean. I felt like I had a clearer idea for underwater with the corals, so that's the one I went with. I'd like to revisit some of these other concepts some day

I got an art tablet recently! I've been playing Slime Rancher a lot lately and think Bea is really cute, so I drew her some to practice!
In the ruins of Mithalas
Here's some of the sketches I did for this concept! I really love the whole atmosphere of Mithalas, I came up with a bunch of ideas that I might revisit some time in the future.
The final painting was mostly made traditionally, but with some changes in post to try and get the lighting effects closer to how I wanted them.

Aquaria Fanart
I wanted to attempt a 2 page spread! Turns out that makes it a lot harder to take good pictures, but I really like how it looks when I open my sketchbook to that page :D
I was thinking of adding in some jellyfish with acrylic paint but didn't end up getting around to that, alas.

i'm kinda tired right now, but wanted to make something for Dave's bday too! so here's a Wigglypaint.
Colors: slslo8 from lospec, except lightly modified cause I wanted to add some lighter blues. The palette reminded me of rose with the orange & purples! I want to do more art of her with all her signature colors
I heard it was her birthday, and suddenly I knew what I was going to do today :D
This took around 4 hours to make, and was probably the most fun I've had using acrylic paints!

Naija & Li sketchbook page from October. I wanted to polish these more, but sadly didn't end up getting around to it.
It's kind of crazy to me how Li follows Naija into the abyss as his only light source. He must trust her a lot!!

I really liked the green text with the purple, it's quite striking!
I recently read the short Rosemary fanfic "To Touch The Stars", and it inspired me to make fanart!
The Rose & bouquet design come directly from the images in the fic, Kanaya is my own interpretation. Please check out the fic, it's great and you can see the cool original art!
