This might be somewhat of a reach, but I don't think he is ever gonna become an antagonist in the show, not because he is good, but rather because, so far, all his plans seem to involve Charlie in one way or another.
In ready for this he says ''she is filled with potential that I could guide'' which everyone interpreted as he wants to exploit her and, while I agree with this idea, I also got the impression he doesn't just want to ask her just a few favors and help him get out of his deal, but be somekind of mentor figure to her.
Obviously an evil mentor figure because it's Alastor we are talking about, but still a mentor figure nevertheless.
“I want Alastor to be the big bad of the series” hahahaha no. I’ll eat my hat and my words if I’m wrong but until then my side-eye is harder than Vox’s cock in the finale.

in these scenes, his hair gets way spikier than normal, they look like knives for gods sake. this only happens when he wants to seem THREATENING
but when around people he trusts like ROSIE his hair (probably unintentionally) gets ROUNDER and SOFTER, even his coat has less spikes than usual.

You know, I was trying to figure out what the cross on his chest was supposed to represent, when I showed his design to a friend who doesn’t watch the show (to get an outside perspective) and they said it looks a lot like rifle crosshairs and I— 0–0 I have to know if anyone else thought about this???

Allastor, which I’m mixing some mythology on the demon together, making him both a demon who does the dirty work for people who need him, as well as a possessive demon who can seize control of people.
I love the legitimate fear in his eyes here.
It's less that he's shaken by the fact that he almost died, and more by the fact that he would have died a hero. A man willing to die for the justice of the denizens of Hell, believing in the friends he has to carry out the mission. And it's THAT fact, that possibility that his reputation would have been RUINED if not for pure dumb luck on his part, scares him. He would have been fine dying, he wouldn't give a shit if it was in the blaze of glory. But the fact that he would have died a HERO is what scares him more.
THAT'S how you write a good villain.
