armin who can’t get over the way you wear his hoodies when you go out. some part of him loves it because it shows everyone else out there that you’re his, but he’ll never tell you that.
armin who encourages you to steal every last item of clothing in his closet, even if it means you take each and every one of his favorite shirts. to him, you look a million times better in them than he will ever look in them anyways.
armin who now catches himself buying clothes he thinks you would look cute in when shopping for himself.
Welcome to my first Fic! This story takes place in the aot universe and yes, the title is the name of a song (10 points if you know it!) Also small warning for death at the very beginning (I promise, it gets better) Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy some nice fluff! Also pretend that record players and records exist...and that 80′s music exists XD
Life in the corps is hard, no doubt about it. Death happening left and right, friends and lovers being torn apart. Now, today was one of the few days of rest that allowed you to try to regain what sanity you have left. Today, you were in your rather spacious bedroom. Bookshelf to the left of your bed, filled with a plethora of books that Armin had gifted you over the years. A record player to the right of your bed, having gotten it from an old friend who didn’t want it anymore. You had a few records and, come to realize it, you had forgotten where it had come from. You look out your window, minuscule droplets of rain scattered and falling on it, your curtains dancing with the wind. It was rather cloudy and chilly that day and the sprinkle of rain had just passed. You slowly begin to space out...
You hear a gentle knock on your door that snaps you back to reality. You recognize it as Armin’s knock. “Come in” you call out to Armin, before he slowly opens the door that you had forgotten to lock. He enters, closing the door behind him, and speaks, “I just wanted to check up on ya and make sure you’re okay” he says with a smile. “I am doing alright” you respond back with a smile. “Do you mind if I...um...sit on your bed? I mean it’s okay if n-” Armin got cut off with a small laugh before you respond, “Yeah, of course you can! No need to worry ‘min” You had called Armin “Min” ever since you both had started dating early last month. Speaking of dating, you had almost forgotten it is your one month anniversary! You begin to feel slightly embarrassed, having almost completely forgotten and say with a smile “By the way, happy one month anniversary!” Armin looks surprised “Has it already been a month? Time sure does fly...”
You begin to stand up from the spot you had situated yourself on your bed and went to grab a record before asking, “Do you mind if I play some music ‘min?” Armin responds with a nod. You smile back and insert the record in the record player, placing the needle gently on the record. After a few milliseconds, the song starts to play. You return to your spot and smile. Armin soon recognizes the song and his face lit up. You remembered that Armin mentioned that it was his favorite song (and it still is). “You remembered” He says with a smile. You smile back “Of course I remembered, ‘min” Armin suddenly hugs you, catching you off guard. You blush, before hugging back, “I love you” Armin says, his breath tickling your neck. “I love you too, Armin” you softly mumble into his ear with a smile. Armin hugs you slightly tighter, silently telling you to never leave .
The two of you stayed like that for a while before you ask if he wants to cuddle. He responds with a nod, both of you laying down on the bed, legs and arms wrapping around each other. You rest your head onto Armins chest, his steady heartbeat almost making you fall asleep. “You can sleep if you want to. I’ll stay” He says in a soft voice. “You promise?” You ask looking into his ocean blue eyes. “I promise” he responds, looking into yours. You share a brief but gentle kiss on the lips, before resting your head back onto his chest gently. You soon fall asleep, Armin falling asleep afterwards.
