Curate, connect, and discover
There are three ways to ship dentorin. (based off of a post I saw on the lsoh confessions blog!!!)
1. The sadist and masochist pairing. A classic. Orin likes it. Arthur likes it. Very Simple although there is a bit of mischaracterization at play here.
2. Creepy fluff. Actually just writing these two as hysterical and insane. Like one moment Orin will be hating on Arthur but as soon as Arthur’s like ‘IM IN LOVE W YOU’ they start making out sloppy style.
3. The overly complicated way where Orin actually has to explore why Arthur makes him so uncomfortable and the masochist just helps him navigate those strange ass emotions that have just popped up ‘out of nowhere.’
Depending on your flavor of angst or fluff, there are two routes this can take.
1. Arthur is actually supportive and helps Orin out.
2. Because the only thing Arthur was looking for *was* pain, etc, he’s unimpressed by Orin being vulnerable with him and as a result leaves him to pick up the pieces on his own. Orin isn’t the strong sadist Arthur thought he was.
Pick your poison lads. Option two is very ooc imo HIS ASS would not do that to Orin.
Opinion on the idea that the only reason why Orin pushed Arthur away was bc Denton kind of scared him? Like Arthur saw him in a completely different way than anyone else has and that HAS to scare someone whose very used to people being afraid of them right.
Orin uses his intimidation, etc as a means of both protecting himself and controlling others. In turn, that means that Arthur is unpredictable. As you can imagine, someone like Orin would most definitely hate unpredictability.
Old man yaoi.
Old man yaoi ✊️✊️
(glad that's catching on lmao)
Oh yeah 100% when I saw the movie that's what I thought, that orin was scared or at the very least very weirded out.
It's like he's not used to someone matching his energy.(I was gonna make a Analogy of it being like Julius Ceasar but it didn't make any sense and I just wanted to talk about Julius)
It's also probably would mean orin would have to come to terms with the fact he's gay and he does not wanna do that.
There's more I wanna say and something I wanna compare this too but I'm lacking the words
So, I recently went to see a Little Shop production done by the school my sister teaches at. It was really good ! But one thing caught me off guard…
Arthur Denton…having a whole SONG?!!? And it looks like it was meant to take place a few songs after Orin died…
Sadly, though, the song was never performed (and Arthur never even appeared in the production) despite this being in the playbill. I was a bit disappointed, but thought “surely this is on the internet, at the very least there’s a reddit post about it or something, right?”
Nope!
Absolutely nothing!!! I couldn’t find any videos or posts that had anything to do with this song.
If any of you out there know ANYTHING about this, please tell! Until then…this shall remain a mystery…
