James is transmasc and used to be called Jessica, he came from a conservative, homophobic, transphobic, and racist family. He ran away and put himself up for adoption, where the dragon goddess and her assassin girlfriend adopted him and cheered him on. Also Kyrvyo did his hair, and he was the one who wanted the different colors in his hair so he felt more connected to his real family.

Pheonix: When my father Narinder was betrayed and attacked his siblings, gouged out Leshy's eyes, cut Heket's throat, tore off Kallamar's ears, and caved in Shamura's skull. Narinder was imprisoned for this rebellion, but a prophecy held that a lamb would be the one to free him from his binds. The other bishops, fearful of their brother's return, attempted to execute all of the lambs to prevent the prophecy from being fulfilled. However, by slaughtering the final remaining Lamb, they actually fulfilled the prophecy.

Pheonix: Well uncle shamura, aunt heket and uncle kallamar we're all busy so they couldn't watch me but uncle leshy had nothing to do so he just shrugged and agreed, but after a few minutes of him being alone with me he got hungry and he was too lazy to go cook his own food so he got creative.... But luckily papa (narinder) saw what he was trying to do and he stopped him, but unfortunately after that someone had to also watch uncle leshy when he babysat me so in it was basically a double babysit.... When Uncle mura found out about what Uncle Leshy tried to do he was very unhappy and gave him a mouthful...

Phoenix: the only family member that I have on my moms side is my grandmother getsumei, I haven’t met her but I have heard cool stories about her
Hey lambert why does pheonix wear the collar thing like was it a gift?, or is it for important means?
lambert: it was a gift, it was around the time of pheonix’s 5 birthday and she enjoyed collecting rocks (for some weird reason), so I took a short trip to forneus’s shop to see if I could find anything and I found a couple of these handmade amulets with these smooth polished gemstone’s, so I took a couple and she loved them, she still has all of them to this day ( and still in perfect condition too.)
You know heket lambert is sorta like Phoenix’s stepfather/adoptive parent so how did you react when you found out that pheonix was being raised by him and narinder?
Heket: I will admit at first I didn’t want to accept the fact the she is being raised by that rat infested sheep and that three eyed demon but they care, love and protect her so as long as she is getting the care that she needs I won’t be taking any deadly measures with the lamb or narinder.
Heket why out of all the bishop’s are you the only one that is trying to help pheonix aren’t you afraid of her like the other bishop’s?
Heket: pheonix is all that’s there’s left of someone that I was really close, I made yuna a promise to keep pheonix far away from the others but yet…she was sacrificed when she was only a child but like the lamb she took to being the new vessel of spiral, just because shamura and the others fear her doesn’t mean I do…………I don’t understand why shamura did what he did but if he did it out of fear then Maybe he is the one we should fear…..
heket cares about Phoenix a lot she may not say it but she shows it in many ways abs would do anything to help protect her.
