Curate, connect, and discover
I'd like to add on to this, I relate to Red a lot! I also get really excited, love animals and have more childish tendencies and interests. But I'm still not a five year old! It's hard to express that to people, but my positivity isn't because I'm naive, I've seen terrible things and I want to be better than them! There's so much you can do with that with a character, but any character like me is treated as "haha they're so hyper and happy so they're dumb". But I have seen some really good characterisations of Red, so this isn't everywhere.
On a more positive note, buff Red is basically canon and awesome. Let's collectively draw more buff Red for the win!
not a huge fan of how most people talk about red. it's always stuff like "he's just the preciousest little babiest boy. he's just a baby. tiny little baby man who can't think for himself"
So many people see Red that way!
I think most of the time Red is seen as such is mostly based on his personality. Although he is more childish and a ball of sunshine compared to the others and is a sweetie when he wants to be. None of that make him a ‘little baby bean’. He shows a lot of emotional intelligence! Especially during the lush cave episode of avm.
Sure Red can be sweet, but that stick is buff.
I’m sorry that was random, but it’s not far from truth! Have people seen Red?! He even had a training montage where he was doing the heavy lifting compared to Green! He raises large animals which requires a lot of strength to handle! He goes to monster school for crying out loud! He faced King head on several times during the war, and broke into Darklords place without a hint of hesitation, and beat the shit out of the greys during Ava’s recent episode!!!
BUT for some reason media has a tendency to take characters like Red and portray them like that :/
I really love Red I’m sorry for that little rant, he’s one of my favorites from Ava/avm
