why would the hydranoid be mad at masq
I feel like it’s unfounded because Masky sort of forced him to banish his own people to the ~DOOM DIMENSION~ . I don’t know, maybe Hydranoid wouldn’t be mad at him for all of that because of Naga and Hal-G. But it’s probably just a dumb headcanon of mine because I want the bakugan and their masters to fight

Masquerade has never step foot inside of a movie theater. He’s always wanted too, but was too busy taking over the world. I hope he’ll get to one day

28. The most unnecessary thing they ever did?
I think for Runo, it was getting in fights with Dan all the time, and also Julie. In the first season, it kinda made her hard to approach as a character. Since she was playing the jealous girlfriend but wasn’t a girlfriend?? But I’m going to blame that on the writers.
Runo was a very useful character and pretty much was the heart of the team in the first season.

1. My first impression of them
Dan: basic shonen protagonist; kinda funny; cared a lot for his friends and family; wish he had more depth—like i what him to be flawed in some type of way;maybe he was self-esteem issues which is why he’s always fighting for others; hate that he’s an only child—deserves a younger sibling
Masquerade: fucking terrifying; first cartoon villain i was actually afraid of; kinda wanted to see him and alice interact more; nice hair and a really cool outfit; deserved real friends instead of just being a pawn; redemption arc necessary

21. When do you think they were at their happiest?
Ooooh, I like this one.
Since I didn’t watch the whole show, I’m basing this off seasons one and two, and also pre-canon. I think Shun was his most happiest when he was with his mom. Even though she was sick/dying, I think Shun really enjoyed talking to her and spending time with her. But after she passed, I think he became his most happiest when he met Skyress. She helped him grieve over his mother, and move forward in life.

16. A childhood headcanon
Ooh, okay! I’mma mention my OCs because Alice has like no friends in Russia.
Alice had braces when she was younger. When she was four, she had fallen down the stairs and had messed up her jaw really badly. It was so bad that she had to wear headgear for six months. Viktor also got braces in solidarity but Yelena and Zamina made fun of them for it. Viktor got his off at first. Alice got hers off like a day before the Bakugan dropped. But because of her wearing them for so long, she was really self-conscious about her smile. So whenever she would video call the Brawlers, she would only do close lipped smiles. Until Julie made her laugh. Like really loudly. And Julie saw what her teeth looked like, and complimented her. Since then, Alice has been smiling more openly.
(I don’t know where I came up with this. I just needed more Alice and Julie moments in canon.)
I know that alice and shun were close friends in season1 but story wise perhaps shun can hold his grudge against masq and help his grieving friend (considering he’s also lost a parent and he knows what it’s like) also do the brawlers know about michael
the brawlers know, but they weren't invited to the funeral, that i still haven't mentioned. it was private, only alice and masq were there. zamina should have been since he also helped raise her, but ehhhh. but i like the idea of shun comforting alice to grow their bonds
i have a question for those of you who are reading my bakugan story, do you want alice and shun to be a couple? because if that were to happen, they would be very minor, probably not even a chapter focused on them. the main ship is masq/dan, but i could add a few more.
how long have you been in the bakugan community?
since it was released in America back in like 2007-2010. i never saw the full thing since it stopped being promoted after season two, like no trailers or nothing. but that was also when i started watching beyblade and yu-gi-oh, digimon, etc. so i wasn't really paying attention to bakugan anymore. but it was definitely the reason i love animes where the play some sort of game.

yea those are all good points I think it’s up to your imagination for the rest. I do want a explanation for his weird flying thing in ep 14,18 and 19 no one comments on it...
No, because where did he get the ability to travel anywhere he wants whenever he wants?? Man’s can literally phase in and out of the world and no one bats an eye. I get that he’s dramatic but I need some explanation for that. I wonder if it’s something he got from Naga…

I don’t really know why I like Masquerade so much. There’s not much we learn about him in the show aside from the fact that he’s a genius at Bakugan strategy, wants to take over the world, is cyclical, and is the alter ego of Alice. But for some reason I really really liked him. Both him and Alice don’t get that much screen time after Season 1–and a lacking amount in Season 2– but they were definitely more interesting than the others. Like how does the sweetest girl in the world end up with such a twisted personality? Why is Masquerade fully human while Hal-G is a monster? Why does it seem like Alice and Masquerade are on two opposite spectrums of the gender binary, and why does that create such different persons? Why couldn’t they be separated? How come Masquerade never came to the conclusion that he was Naga’s chess piece, and he’d be thrown out like trash after the worlds combined?
It was a very confusing thing. And despite barely being seven years old when I first met Masquerade, his character stuck with me for years. I had so many unanswered questions. But after a while, I realized that he’s just a normal kid. Sure, he was born of evil. But if you were told your whole life who you’ll become, would you do anything to try and stop it?
So yeah, I just felt like Masquerade deserved more. He deserved having a friend. And Alice could have been that one friend. But I guess we’ll never know

Disney: early 2000-10s sitcoms, TOH, GF, Ducktales (2017), Big Hero 6/MCU, etc.
Nickelodeon: Spongebob, some old sitcoms by D*n Schn*ider, Henry Danger is the last show
For fandoms outside of TV, I’ve seen Camp Camp, Ever After High; used to watch Mianite videos; listen to multiple broadway musicals (Hamilton, Heathers, ITH, DEH, 21 Chump Street, Kinky Boots); watched some shows for stay at home moms like Roseanne, That 70s Show, the Goldbergs, the middle, etc.
I am not avid in book fandoms except for the Artemis Fowl Series (don’t speak of the film).
For the anime that I care about: Bakugan, Beyblade, Fire Force, Magi, JJBA, PPP Mermaid, Haikyuu, HXH, Ass Class, and Azumanga. There’s a few more but I really don’t participate in the fandom for those anime, I just watch them and move on.
This is just a handful of stuff I remember. I try to join fandoms often. I’ll try to put a full list in the tags
I have absolutely nothing to offer for Bakugan Ship Week/Month but I better read some good Shun/Alice shit!!!
