There was something oddly peculiar tonight.

Extreme tenebrosity enveloped the whole land, enshrouding it with darkness. Not even the twinkling stars help to illuminate the dark fields. However, one figure rose prominently at this hour, the obscurity of the night accentuating it despite its light being weak.

Perched high above the leaden skies was a king on his throne—the moon, looming over the vast land. It glowed a peculiar color, radiating an enigmatic gleam. It was as if there was something terribly amiss.

The towns were already devoid of a single living being as soon as the sun had set. Villagers immediately secured their homes, locking their doors tightly so no one would be able to get in nor get out. Fear deeply coursed through their veins, their bodies trembling as they waited for the sun to rise once again. Even those who didn’t believe in a supreme being began to pray with sincere hearts, hoping that nothing will come to harm’s way during the night.

This night, may God graciously protect us.
