Daredevil (2003) Alternate Ending
Ok, so maybe on Henley Monday I promised a Tuxedo Tuesday. And maybe yesterday there was a blizzard and I also go distracted and forgot to make the post. Maybe that's all true. But HERE. NOW. I bring you a plethora of photos from Hollywood's Biggest Night.
I bring you...Men In Tuxedos at the Oscars!
First, let's walk down the red carpet....
If you look closely, you can see Mr. Tveit's striped socks. I love a man who has a bit of whimsy when it comes to his dress socks.
Next up is Aaron "Enjolras" Tveit's Les Mis buddy Eddie Redmayne rocking the hell out of his velvet slippers.
Chris Pine went for the double breasted jacket. I die. I just die. He's not alone in his refusal to shave either. Many, many actors declined to rid themselves of facial hair for the black tie event.
This picture of Joseph Gordon Levitt shows the detail on his tux. The fabric has a bit of texture to it, as well as the piping details. I can't tell if the piping is silk or leather. I really want it to be leather.
Bradley Cooper brought his mom! He brought his adorable and precocious mom! She has on a pink ostrich feather stole AND tennis shoes! Brad's three-piece Tom Ford also rule and even though his hair is yucky he looks fine.
My personal fave Chris Evans brought his proud momma along too! She looks radiant. Chris, I love a good bow tie, but I get that's not quite your style.
Then the show started and more men tromped out on stage including this fine selection of male specimen from the Avengers. Samuel L. Jackson gets major points for going with that garnet velvet. Love it.
A whole bunch of awards were given out and the biggest one of the night went to Ben Affleck for Argo! He dressed the part of a best picture winner with a one button, silk lapel jacket, vest, and silk bow-tie! DAMN, AFFLECK, YOUR FACE IS AGING AS WELL AS YOUR CAREER!
Basically I was looking at my TV like this all night long:
Non- spoiler review as always, with my PERSONAL opinions
- To be real honest, Ben Affleck's Batman was ????? to me in this film. I felt like he had better character in BvS in terms of action and character. The thing is Batman always has been my favourite character in DC. Like, every heroes were suprised to hear that Batman is just human because he was so capable of everything. Sadly, he felt too much like normal human being in this film
- Wonder woman's actions were great, but what I loved the most was the fight scene of the Amazons. It just stuns me as always. Some of Gal's actings were ?? But overall, she was one of the best characters and had great chemistry with the others
- Jason Momoa as Aquaman was perfect, in terms of the character, and it was really interesting to watch the action using water in the movie. It's a shame he didn't have much chance to have more scenes with water in the third act of the movie. However, he definately bought my interest and I'm looking forward for his solo. Also, Mera was perfect
- Ezra Miller as the Flash was adorable was happy to watch the speedforce in action. An intersting approach to the character but I'd like some of more comic accuracy for the Flash. He felt more like Wally than Barry in terms of the character' behaviour
- Unlike the comics, Cyborg was kind of gloomy in this film. But I feel like Ray Fisher's character has so much potential in the future movies and I hope to see more of his robotic actions and gimmicks later on
- Henry Cavill's Superman may be my favourite character in the dceu actually. He was charming, strong and likeable. It was just really glad to see him in the movie. BUT I feel like Zack Snyder made Superman too strong compared to the other leaguers, I mean, Snyder always loved to portray him as a god, but it was kind of ?????? Oh, and I really ship Clois
- I really have to say. HORRIBLE VILLAIN. I mean WTF?? Parademons seemed more threatening than you Steppenwolf. Also, the movie really lacked with stunning action scenes except for the Amazons and Atlantian scene
My overall score is 7/10 for this one. I feel like the movie was kind of rushed, especially since Warner Bros forced to cut the movie to be 2 hours long. The villain felt disposable too. I feel like DCEU has so much potential lying behind them yet doesn't know how to use the given sources. This is not DC's fault, it's WB's. The story of the last end credit seemed much more interesting than the whole movie. I liked the film, but it could have been better. It should have been better.
Oh, and also, GIVE ME MY FUCKING GREEN LANTERN ASSHOLES
Batman: (jumps in to the water and sees Harley passed out without Joker)
Batman:
Batman: Where did this shit go
It’s an honest and subjective review, there may be minor minor spoilers, but almost harmless so be aware It was good! I mean we’ve finally got a suicide squad film! Here are my thoughts: Characters - HARLEY FUCKING QUINN KILLED IT!! I mean, she’s like the best thing that happened in Suicide Squad! - Joker, oh my J, Jared Leto’s smile, laugh and everything was perfect. BUT I feel like DC portrayed him as a romantist TOO MUCH. Like, it looked like he couldn’t live without her, which in comics, Joker CAN and EXIST without harley, whereas he needs Batman in his life. I think too much of J♡H romance killed little bit of Joker’s ruthlessness. He’s still mad af tho - Deadshot’s characterisation was great, especially with his daughter and some of the moments. He was one of the most realistic person in the squad along with some others. But I think he had too much drama and lacked action later in the film - Rick Flag was cute, loved seeing him interact and later connect with every members of the squad. He’s like the damsel in distress. And FLAGSHOT EVERYBODY. SHIP IT - Captain Boomerang was adorable. Like, he was the comic relief of the film. However, I hoped more of the boomerang- throwing actions. - Enchantress was very mysterious but her wiggly dance was quite funny. I though she was part of the squad, but well, she was actually the villain - EL DIABLO WAS THE FUCKING SCENE STEALER EVERYBODY!! He’s like the character with most character development, and possibly the strongest and coolest member in the squad! Such a cute cinnamon roll - Killer Croc had very few scenes, and was not that impactful honestly. I hope he appears in the next Batman film with bigger body - Katana sort of.. I don’t know, killed the mood…? She was very dramatic - Slipknot.. Well before the movie released, people joked a lot about him and it actually became true.. you know Overall movie - I feel like a lot of the characters lacked characterisation. I think DC should have introduced these villains in other hero movies before the Squad so the audiences are actually familiar of them. Introducing and telling the background story took like the half of the film. It just feels like DC is rushing too much that they are releasing big major events without cinematic development - The first- middles part of the movie was exhilarating but the last part was quite messy and dragged on (except for diablo) - Almost half of the scenes in the trailer didn’t show up in the movie. I’m quite pissed about this. A lot of them lacked some real actions the final part of the movie - I loved the humor and watching the movie in the villain’s perspective! - Ok, it has some flaws, but rotten tomatoes, seriously? - As a dc fan, it’s 7.5/10, as a movie fan, 6.5/10
May contain some spoilers, but not that much
It was a good movie! It wasn’t the greatest, but it was good!
I sort of worried about Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, but I got chills from the scene where he threatens the Senetor. He was a psychotic villain rather than a stoic villain like the comics, but sure he was very evil and cunning
I pitied Superman in this entire movie. He was a real and true superhero with righteousness. Really loved him. Leave this man alone
Personally, I think I enjoyed Ben Affleck’s role as Bruce Wayne more than Batman, but his fighting scenes and gadgets were mesmerising
Wonder Woman had the shortest role in the movie but definately the most remarkable one. I squeaked when she used the lasso
The cameos, as we know, they appeared for like 4 seconds each, (Aquaman was the shortest, Cyborg’s scene was quite long, but he didn’t do anything, Flash had the longest with two scenes, and it was my favourite!)
The only thing I had to comment was there wasn’t a lot of scenes where Superman and Batman actually fight unlike the title. It was more like a movie for introducing the Justice League with a little attachment of Bats and Supes fighting and return of Wonder Woman
