Day 14: Santa Baby, Reo Mikage

Warnings: Photo shoot anxiety

Popularity. Popularity is something that comes with being a member of Blue Lock. (_____) is one of those more popular players. Anri had recently told them that they would be participating in a Santa themed photo shoot.

(_____) sighed as they walked to the photo shoot room. They really didn’t know what to expect. their nerves made them jittery. Before (_____) even knew it they made it to the room and were getting their hair and makeup done. It smelled like a hospital and hair spray. Picking at the collar of their outfit they waited anxiously for it to start.

”Oh (____)! I didn’t know you were going to be my partner for this shoot.” (_____) turned and saw Reo. A smile of relief took over as a sigh left their lips at seeing their boyfriend. Reo sat next to them and hugged them tightly. “It’s ok if you're nervous, I was my first time.” Reo said, trying to comfort them. They two sat while they waited to be called up. Reo telling them silly stories to help them relax.

Soon it was time to start and the two got to work. It felt like hours passed as they posed for photos. (_____) fell against the couch exhausted with Reo laughing and taking a seat next to them. He took their Santa hat off and guided their head to lean on his shoulder. “You did great (_____)!” Reo praised as he leaned his head on top of theirs.

(_____) smiled and played with his fingers. “So did you.” Reo kissed the top of their head with a smile as thanks. The two sat in a comfortable silence, enjoying each other's presence. The next day Reo checked his phone and saw the name of the photo shoot. (______) (Last Name) and Reo Mikage as each other's Santa Baby.

Ever since I started Bluelock my brain chemistry has changed. Who knew a anime that's 98% dude could be so fucking zesty💀 and hot may I add?.

I don't usually ship characters and especially males. My ships are based off of how well the two characters interact (obviously) so I don't ship things like Bakudeku😰. Kiribaku tho? (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧✧ʸᴱˢ

But it has come to my attention that this zesty ass anime has truly solidified itself into my heart. So let's just start off with some quick ideas and thoughts with everything ⏤͟͟͞͞✧𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐤

◌ Now I can't speak for everyone but I was unfortunately the one to stumble across Atlanta lock😭 The more that I look at Isagi's character it makes me realize this mf really is from Atlanta 💀 So now I can imagine isagi walking with you somewhere with this fit.

He's holding your hand or arm or whatever being a gentleman, making sure you're safe when walking through Atlanta because all of the damn crackheads (speaking from experience) 💀😭 you guys walk past a few cool places and then you stop at a place to eat (fontaine's oyster house 🤤) and he holds the door for you and a few other people and most people say thanks or whateva but then some dude just bumps into Isagi and nearly steps on his shoes.

Now that's fucked up so isagi being the gentleman he is just shrugged it off and was like.

❝Excuse you man.❞

But the dude turn around and he's like.

❝Tf you say to me bitch ass nigga?❞ Isagi turn around like.

◌ for Bachira I get super super yandere vibes from. Him like crazy vibes but under the assumption that he's normal I feel like he would be bffs with isagi still after bllk or even if they never went.

I used it as a joke in my smaus but bachisagi 3some? And I know how ship names work but just because Bachira's name is first doesn't mean he's the Dom 🙃

This dude had me screaming when I started bluelock and now that I keep watching I still love him but there's so many.... Men ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴡʀɪᴛɪɴɢ ᴘᴏᴛᴇɴᴛɪᴀʟ....

◌ I don't know why but recently this man has had me in a chokehold. I don't get it, when he was first Introduced I was like

"Oh he cute, he cute. Fans prolly ship the fuck out of him though." (And I'm not wrong)

And lately I've been THIRSTING over him. I imagine that he has little nightmares in the middle of the night about him and Nagi and he just wakes up yelling, covered and sweat and dramatically sticking his arm out in front of him like he can grab Nagi🥲

But besides his rocky relationship with Nagi, I also have some more... Uh... Spicer thoughts.

A dimly lit room, nice soft rain outside and your balcony curtains slightly open, letting some nice marine moonlight into the room. Despite the relaxing environment Reo had different plans.

Plans like fucking you hard into your bed and whispering the most possessive things in your ear after he saw you chatting it up with some of his former bluelock teammates. At a little get together that was hosted earlier today.

Before starting with the World Cup shit Ego should send the kids to (at least) one therapy session like, some of these boys are NOT okay.

Reo got into top 11 but that boy has pressing issues that blue lock might wanna get under control before putting him on the field. That kid's depressed.

Talking about depression, someone should check on Kunigami's ptsd and Rin's very obvious autistic tendencies.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Bachira has self-induced and self-cured schizophrenia?? He was bullied and alone so he made up an imaginary friend who happens to be a creepy ass soccer monster and then Bachi decides to be his own monster and the thing just disappears like-? I'm happy he got his shit together but I'd still have him mentally checked just in case.

And who knows what the fuck is wrong in Shidou's brain but you know something ain't right😭🤚

Manshine's dorms be like:

I just can't believe that, out of any date possible, chapter 301 of blue lock, the first one without Nagi, the one that begins the World Cup arc which was his dream with Reo, is coming out on May 6th.

Like, did it reaaaaally need to be right on this poor gay-ass loser boy's birthday? There wasn't another date?

I get that it's published a day later in Japan but it's still meant to be ready the 6th. And Kaneshiro still says Nagi is his fave and then he releases the chapter where he's officially gone that specific date. Atp is he torturing us or himself?

Why would you do this?

Imagine Nagi comes home to Ba-ya waiting by the door to give Choki back -bc she follows bltv- and Choki has a small bump on one of its bulbs. When Nagi asks about it Ba-ya informs him that some time after they left Choki sprouted a flower bud but it hadn't bloomed. Nagi doesn't say anything and just takes his pet back.

Months later, Nagi has moved on to another team and is actively chasing his own goals, regularly checking on Reo through bltv to see how he's doing. Despite not wanting to play with Reo anymore, he's still invested on his ex-partner's dream. That's why it hurts to see how emotionally vulnerable he left him and how, despite the time that has past, Reo's smiles are rare and usually fake. (He's been around both the fake ones and the sincere one long enough to know) Yet, he's very proud of Reo for challenging the world on his own, he just wished he was brave enough to actually tell him.

Choki's flower bud had grown a bit bigger and started opening. That made Nagi very happy, to see Choki change and grow with him, despite being just a plant.

Finally, the day his team is facing blue lock in the tournament comes and the thought of seeing them all again excites him the same amount as it scares him. One specific face haunts him the most. He decided to focus on the chance of fighting Isagi again and not on what would he do once he saw Reo. And he was so busy with this that he forgot his morning routine of pricking his finger.

He remembered once he was at the door and decided to go back to his room to say goodbye and ask Choki to wish him luck (although he knew the cactus wouldn't answer him, he'snot crazy) What he hadn't known was that, under the pale moonlight, Choki had blossomed a deep purple flower, sitting atop one of it's bunny ears.

Nagi stood frozen by his bedroom door. Then, he took a deep breath and, as he released it, felt a weight being lifted from his shoulders. "Right. Thanks Choki. I'm going now."

I came up with a fanfic prompt overnight. I know that homosexual marriage is illegal in Japan and the age of consent for that is 18 but oh well, let's take some licenses for the sake of fanfiction

"Word that the son of Mikage Corp's CEO might be gay and going around with a no-name boy reaches the powerful man's ears. Because of this, he rushes to find a proper suitor to marry Reo off as soon as he hits 18, to straighten him up and salvage his reputation. However, he can't help himself but to confront his son about the situation and warn him to leave that boy if he knows what's good for him, although Reo insists they're just business partners.

When Reo finds out his parents are girlfriend hunting for him, he refuses to be legally tied to a stranger for life. Plus, his dad somehow knows about Nagi but has got it all wrong. This, though, gives him a genius idea. And that's how he hacks into his dad's personal account, prints his parents marriage certificate editing the names, and has Nagi sign it. His awful parents can't force any spouse into his life if he's already married nor take Nagi away from him when he's officially Reo's and only Reo's as stated by law."

I love Nagireo fics where everyone thinks they're in a relationship and it happens to be convenient so they do get in a fake relationship that's more real than my life😭

Sadly, I don't think I'm gonna be able to write it any time soon since I should be studying for university exams right now, oops.

If they're pushing me forward or holding me back it's still unknown.

I honestly believe all their problems would be solved if Nagi smooched Reo before walking out.

I'm feeling bittersweet at the prospect of Reo leaving Nagi behind once and for all (albeit forced to do so)

Like, if he wants to survive, he'll obviously become an individualist now, there's nothing (no one) holding him back either. And I absolutely want him to get better and shine with his own light, he deserves that. But, I don't want him to completely forget about Nagi as a period of his life that's over now.

Death in blue lock doesn't mean death in real life, and I have the slight feeling that people in blue lock don't realize this. Or at least they say goodbye like they're never seeing eachother again when they could if they wanted to.

I just wished Reo realized he wants Nagi besides of what he brings into the field, and that he can pursue soccer in solitary and still love him at the same time.

Blue lock is designed to install the mentality in them that their whole life has to be about soccer when, in reality, once they step off the field, once practice is over, they also have a personal life to take care of. Because they have been locked up in there for so long many of them don't think about this but I wish they realized that eliminating a friend doesn't mean losing them forever.

In case Nagi quits soccer or keeps playing but in a smaller league, I hope he's still invested in Reo's dream and cheers him on even from afar. And for Reo to think about their relationship and how, everytime he pictured the World Cup as a treasure he wanted to aquire to prove himself, he also thought of Nagi as a treasure he failed to make his own, and perhaps, chooses to pursue Nagi too but in a different way. Like, it's fine that while you're playing you're the most egoistic person alive who only thinks of achieving greatness by yourself. But outside of that you're still a human with other feelings besides your pride.

I feel if they both realised they can dedicate themselves both to soccer and to eachother without necessarily having both things together, they'd be the perfect couple.

Maybe we'll get to see a bit of that reflexion on Nagi's part after he gets locked off in epinagi?

I just know I don't want the spinoff to just end there with Nagi don't doing anything with his life and Reo being heartbroken. I want their relationship to evolve past blue lock not as football stars but as people.

There's a lot of ways to be partners and it'd be a great chance to show that, even if blue lock's mentality is the right way to be a striker, it doesn't have to define you as a person. You can have dreams outside of soccer that don't interfier with your career. Be a star on camera and a human at home.

A striker isn't supposed to have relationships holding him back but a human is allowed to love.
