I haven't fixed Ikemoto's art for a long time, but I couldn't stop this time.

Yeah, yeah, I know a LOT of people like Sarada's design, but.... I'm not one of them.

Don't get me wrong, out of all the time skip designs, Sarada's design was pretty good. But that doesn't mean it's a good design.

But let's look at the problem of this work. Let's start with the palette

There are only four colors here. More precisely, two colors, red and black (I don't count Sarada's skin color). There are a lot of cool and beautiful art that uses only two colors, but Ikemoto can't do that. The cover of the new chapter looks like a red and black mess that hurts my eyes. And yes, I understand that the red color is supposed to represent Sarada's sharingan, but... this is done terribly. Just ugh...

So...I fix it(。’w’。)♡

I didn't want to change much, so yeah... I changed the color of Sarada's jacket to a darker one because it just blends in with the main outfit, which is bad. I also fixed her skin color.

I don't know why Sarada turned out so yellow(?) in the original, but it doesn't look very nice to me. She turned out like a light spot in a puddle of red paint.

And yes, I added more clothes to her again. I will not stop saying that Sarada's clothes are uncomfortable +I removed the extra Konoha emblem. I don't know why she needs two signs. Unless Ikemoto doubts Sarada's ninja-like appearance so much that he decided to duplicate the Konoha sign. ㄟ(▔ ,▔)ㄏ

About your araya and yodo correction post- it’s implicated (though does not make it any better) that team ShiAraYo are meant to mirror the sand siblings, with Yodo starting off at around maybe 17-18?? (Still pretty bad) But araya being like kankuro at the time and around like- 17-ish?? So at his age it’s pretty normal for facial hair to grow

I understand your point. I'll say right away about Araya's beard, it's more my dislike than the fact that it shouldn't be there. I know that some guys can start growing beards early. That's not really the problem.

I just think that Araya's beard looks terrible. Sometimes characters don't need certain details, this is one of them. In my opinion, the beard simply makes him look older. I can live with the fact that Araya has a beard, it's not the worst thing about his design, but it just pisses me off because Ikemoto can't draw beards (Shikamaru's beard in Ikemoto's style also looks bad in my opinion).

Back to what you wrote. Yes, you are right that the new sand team is a "reflection" of the sand siblings. Just like the new team 7 (Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki) is a "reflection" of the old team 7 and Haruzen's team (Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru).

But it's hard to say anything about age. We know for sure that before the time skip Shinki was 12, he was the same age as Shikadai and Boruto. As for the age of Yodo and Araya, I haven't found any official data anywhere (maybe I just haven't found it).

Also in my AU I swapped characters in teams and the teams themselves as a whole. The main reason I did this is that the characters do not complement each other's weaknesses and do not progress as a team. Throughout the anime, the team of Sarada, Mitsuki and Boruto has not changed in fact. Yes, Boruto and Sarada have become stronger as individual characters, but... they can easily exist outside this team and nothing will change at all. The same Mitsuki has not changed at all, he still remains the strongest child with the strongest abilities ╮(╯_╰)╭

Same goes for the new InoShikaCho. They said at the very beginning of the anime that they didn't want to work together like their parents, but in the end they were all made together. I have a feeling they were forced...

It seems to me that when Naruto made up the teams (in the anime they showed that he was the one doing it), he didn't think about what was best for the children, he was just nostalgic. Sarada and Boruto didn't want to be on the same team, just like InoShikaCho, but Naruto (and Ikemoto) didn't care. Moreover, he made Konohamaru the sensei of team number 7, instead of InoShikaCho's team. Which actually violates clan traditions, their senseis have always been people from the Sarutobi clan, but Naruto didn't care either. He just wanted his first student/brother to be his son's sensei.

So, I changed it and in the next posts I will tell you why I changed it this way.
