A two-panel comic “Q/A Time With The Venza Family! 01” by Heldig (2024) about the Lackadaisy fan-character, an anthropomorphic female cat Maura Venza, who plays pool while being very drunk (Lackadaisy is a comic and animated series created by Tracy J. Butler).
Maura has chocolate-brown fur with darker gradient on paws, tips of the ears and the tip of the tail and lighter fur gradient on the brow ridges, chin, neck and inside of the ears. She also has turquoise eyes dark-brown nose, white whiskers and claws. Mau is dressed into the dark-emerald knee-length dress with turquoise floral embroidery on the chest and back and chiffon short sleeves, her wavy shoulder-length dark-brown hair is tied with a golden pin in a bun.
On the left upper corner of first panel the narrator block tells: “Q: What is Mau like when she’s drunk? A: Mau doesn’t know how to drink. At all. She gets drunk ridiculously easily and immediately loses all her rationality. Alcohol unblocks an explosive mixture of recklessness, unfounded aplomb and embarrassing euphemisms.” On the first panel Maura leans forward to the billiard table with her left hand placed onto the table. She gets ready to hit the cue ball with the cue stick that she holds behind her back with her right hand. Maura’s eyes are half-lidded, she has a blush on her cheeks from alcohol. Mau says: “…nov…v… fwatsch and leavn… zhis’z ghon’na be a schot, vigkht betveen ze eyes…”
On the left upper corner of the second panel the narrator block tells: “It wasn’t the best day on her job when she discovered that remarkable fact about herself.” On the second panel Maura leans back from the billiard table in a strange pose, while the cue ball hit her right to the forehead between her eyes with a loud “PLONK”. Maura’s eyes are wide open, but are painted with two crosses in them instead of pupils, a cartoonish tear runs down her left cheek, her tail is bushy and is lifted upwards. The cue ball has a smug mocking face painted on it. Mau yells through clenched teeth: “ACK! DA BLANK SHNAPPEV!” On the right bottom corner of the second panel the narrator block tells: “Also her lovely accent becomes very funny and lispy. PLEASE DON’T TELL HER THAT.”
