Why is Best Friend by Rex Orange County kinda a bkdk song?

I’m rewatching early season 1 and gosh. I love the plot lines and the focus on the kids in the rest of the seasons, really I do. But there’s something beautiful in the uncomplicatedness of the first 13? Not many of them get a focus because of how much we follow Schue’s story and that somewhat makes me like the kids better? Like glee really mostly focused on characters or relationships if they were going to be mean or there was going to be drama. But with so much drama being taken up by the Ken/Emma/Will/Terri and babygate plots the rest of the characters live out of background moments. And it’s truly a testament to these actors how well they craft these kids with the little time they have. All these little moments and friendships and callbacks just make me feel warm because it feels real. With how dramatic all the kids are from sectionals on out (and yes they are dramatic in the first 13, but in like a teenagers way) a lot of them being kids is lost? Watching throwdown and sectionals and just seeing all the interaction and ways the casts’ bond came through? Gosh as much as we all rag on the first 13 there’s a reason people came back for more. And it was these actors doing so much with so little in such amazing ways.

Jinx find herself surrounded by warmth. Warmth like none other that she has experienced before. As she slowly opens her eyes something white catches her eyes. Specially white hair. Knowing that her scribbles are never Ekko she isn’t filled with the fear that comes with her hallucinations. She is instead comforted that Ekko is here. With her.

As she lets her eyes drift away from the boy on top of her she looks around. Knowing that wherever they are is far too peaceful to be Zaun. Fearing that she may be dreaming, Jinx moves around Ekko to try and pinch herself. It doesn’t work though all things considered that Ekko moves around. Pinning her arms down.

As she struggles slightly to try and figure out if this is a dream. A thought hits her. Does she really want to know? Does she want to break this peaceful silence she has going? Or does she want to wake up back in Zaun? Against the little better judgement that she has left she stops trying to fight Ekko. After she stops fighting it Ekko lets up. Letting Jinx have free will of her arms.

She begins to hum to herself. Letting her fingers fiddle with his hair. She can hear a soft groan coming from him as she begins to massage his scalp. Just like he used to whenever he has braids in while they were kids. Jinx giggles softly to herself remembering how much Ekko would complain about his scalp hurting after someone put his hair into braids. He used to beg Jinx to massage his head to make it feel better.

Ekko slowly wakes up. He looks up at Jinx with a soft smile. A soft dopey smile is plastered on his face. “Good morning little lady.” Ekko says with a tinge of tease to it.

“Morning little man.” Jinx says poking his scalp while doing so.

Ekko pouts slightly before humming happily.

I’ve been eerily quiet, but I think Tumblr would like the crap going on in my life so here I go (i didn’t post for one day but I still need an excuse lol).

SO, I have two different friend groups. One of them (who I’m going to call the loners even tho i love them to death) I talk to mostly through text.

The other group off ppl I hang out with are the popular kids who get searched a lot and do all the illegal shit.

Well because I am a people pleaser, when some of my loner friends asked me to share the drama going on since I know ALL of it, and I creates a gc where I send everything I heard that day.

Nobody has snitched on the chat yet, but the point of this is that I’ve been focused on being a gossip that I just, haven’t gotten anything actually productive done lol.

Also if u guys want stories from my school I am happy to share.

When I was younger, I hated my southern (USA) accent. I hated it because I was told that I sounded ignorant and because most people outside of Western movies didn't have thick southern accents and so it seemed like the people who said that the accent sounded uneducated or ignorant were correct. I began to cover it up to seem more "normal", and even got to a point where I would have to try to put the accent on if I wanted to have the southern sound. As I got older I realized that what people were saying was stupid and have felt stupid for wanting to change that part of me. Something worthy of note is that I will instinctively thicken my accent whenever comforting someone, getting angry, or talking to certain people. Upon further examination, so do most people who grew up in the South. I was curious as to why that was and decided to ask Google. The second that I began to search, I was met once again with "why do southern accents sound uneducated" and flat out "why do southern accents sound stupid". It's kind of sad for me to see people still do this to an accent that is so pretty and know that kids still will have to go through what I have.

No. 1: trans misogyny is just misogyny whilst having the delusion of protecting cis women — or normal as you insecure fuck-wits would say. This should be obvious because: who’s saying it (known bigots), the diffficulty of enforcement, and thinly veiled misogynism. If people who are known for advocating for the removal of women’s rights (eg roe v wade) also happen to be advocating for the removal of trans women’s rights who happen to indistinguishable from cis women then it should it be clear that they’re not just targeting trans people! As there is no actual (reasonable) way to tell if an individual is trans or not whilst being accurate, the only ways you could enforce that is “penis checks” — it fills me with disgust to even type that — or some kind of enforcer. Do you want to be stopped before you go toilet so that like 1% of the population so can’t just go toilet in public? Oh, because you’ve been fear-mongered to believe that trans people will rape you. And because birth certificates,driving licenses and what-not can have the “original gender” over-ridden so trans people will still be getting where you don’t want them to be. Leaving “penis checks” which is just mandated sexual harassment if you ever want to go toilet. DO YOU WANT THAT?! You’ll likely to dismiss this as exaggeration but what other options is there?!

Additionally, as you are likely aware of what the Trump-Vance has been doing. I’m going to skip over how dumb it is. They’re doing Nazi shit, not vaguely, just late 1930’s nazi shit.
