As we near Halloween, I thought I'd share my family's pumpkins from last year. Mine was the cat one.

Art is carving from the void
I got totally exhausted trying to form this (and itβs not even finished)
Classes starting today and the first project is making stencils for screen printing β¨ Im very excited about this project βΊοΈ . .
The design for the larger linocut Iβll be working onβ¨ my hands are going to be so tired π¬ I'm also going to try mixing inks to make the blue areas a pretty green! We will see how it goes π

I might thicken the lines a bit more and see if I can get some more clean prints, but I love how this came out π₯°

Happy Halloween!
I found an old barely half finished carving of a shark that I forgot about for years so I decided to finish it up. Almost finished with it in one or two days haha. Iβll show a picture when Iβm done :)
I whittled a collection of fruit and veg for my nephew. All hand carved from basswood with a Carvinβ Jack knife and lightly finished with a smooth sandpaper to preserve the faceted look of the knife cuts. Main body colors were applied with an airbrush using Vallejo Model Air paint. Details painted on by hand with brush. First real foray into carving and will be doing lots more.
