Hey Archivist, I offer you this pen in exchange for another one that isn't quite as...well, you know. I found this one on the floor of the Ancient Metaphysics section of the library, and it refuses to write down anything but questions. I tried to use it for my math homework and the ink rearranged itself into a pondering of existence itself. The ink is a nice glittery purple, though!
If we are trading pens that compel, you may as well take this matched set of mist-grey quills. Each wells with ink from no apparent source, and each one has its own quirks. The gold ink seems to project a vision of the words you’ve just written, hanging over the paper itself like an afterimage following a flash of light. The one that writes in turquoise ink keeps your inspiration flowing to a good stopping point: undoubtedly useful, but make certain you have cleared the afternoon just in case. The last, writing in a rather jarring green and purple, cannot write anything incorrect and may therefore be helpful with math homework (although after some initial testing on my part that seems to be restricted to the knowledge of the bearer, rather than a tool with which to determine the essential truths of the universe. Perhaps things you learned at one point and now can’t remember will still qualify?) They weaken kept apart, so I present them to you as a whole; I hope they are more helpful than the pen you give up.
Collecting And Utilizing Magick Charms
My personal charm collection.
Magick charms are small, enchanted objects used for protection, luck, attraction, and spiritual power. Witches, shamans, and mystics have used charms for centuries to enhance spells, manifest intentions, and guard against negative forces. This comprehensive guide will help you collect, store, and use charms effectively in your witchcraft.
A magick charm is any object infused with energy or intention to create a desired effect. Unlike talismans (which attract energy) or amulets (which repel energy), charms can do both, depending on their purpose.
Uses of Magick Charms in Witchcraft:
• Protection – Shields against negative energy, hexes, and harm.
• Luck & Prosperity – Draws fortune, money, and success.
• Love & Attraction – Enhances self-love, relationships, and passion.
• Healing & Wellness – Promotes emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
• Psychic Abilities & Divination – Strengthens intuition, dreamwork, and spirit communication.
• Manifestation & Goal Achievement – Focuses energy on specific desires.
Magick charms can be found, crafted, or gifted. The key is choosing objects that resonate with your energy and intention.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good crystal necklace but you don’t get much say in what intentions it manifests and the energy it releases. Enchanting a pendant can open a whole new realm of possibilities using herbs, stones and candles to bring in all the energies that you wish to carry with you in a single necklace.
For this beautiful cicada pendant I wanted it to bring me protection, luck and power.
What you’ll need
A black candle - I used two
Protection herbs and incense: I used a bay leaf, black salt, dragons blood and lavender
For power I used snake skin and for good luck I used cinnamon - these intentions were secondary so I only used a single herb for each
Protective crystals: I used black tourmaline and clear quartz
Steps:
Cleanse your space in your preferred method
Get in the right headspace: you can do this by meditating on your intentions
Set up your alter with the surrounding the pendant with crystals and your black candle. Light them up
Call on any spirit guides to aid you, and begin focusing on your intention
Touch the pendant, ask it for aid and begin envisioning your energy seep into it as you focus
Sprinkle each herb onto your pendant - setting your intention with each one. Tell your pendant what the herb will do
Do the same thing with your crystals, touch them and then your pendant. Infusing those vibes
Talk to your pendant - reiterate what you want, thank it, etc
Let it sit on your alter. Allow the herbs and crystals to stay with it until your candle finishes burning
Protection is so important! And having a pendant that you personally enchant is so powerful! Why not give your favourite necklace a little magic?
Bonus extra step:
Every morning before I put any necklace on I always give the pendant a little kiss and ask it for aid in my day. It just feels right haha
Protection Charm (In a Locket)
To ward off off negative emotions and to help create a barrier 🕯🍃🌑
Ingredients: - 1 medium sized locket - Lavender essential oil (happiness, love, peace, protection, purification) - Tea Tree essential oil (Strength) - Rose Petals (love, beauty, calm) - Mint (energy, alertness, healing) - Rosemary (memory, clarity, vitality,) - Piece of paper and pen - Small spoon - Mortar and Pestle, Cauldron, or bowl
Instructions: 1. Begin by lighting any alter candles or incense you might want to add. 2. Ground yourself and feel the energy begin to flow through your veins. 3. Draw out your sigil on a piece of paper for your barrier (you’re welcome to use mine above). 4. Tear out paper and fold small enough to fit into locket. 5. Add a pinch of each herb to cauldron, bowl, or mortar. 6. Add one drop of each essential oil. 7. Mix and grind together with pestle or spoon. 8. When finished mixing, take your spoon and scoop up enough oil soaked herbs that will fit into your locket. 9. Seal with a kiss 💋While doing so, envision an orb of light coming from your locket and growing to surround your body.
And you’re finished! Blow out your candles to symbolize the end of your process 🕯
I hope this keeps you all safe 💕 Sometimes we just need a little space to ourselves! This spell is straight out of my own grimoire so please message me results! I’d love feedback ☺
A charm is any object, usually pocket-sized, that’s charged with energy of some kind. An example is a lucky charm that’s worn as a necklace or a lock of hair charged with energy from the person it came from.
Charms can sometimes be called talismans, totems or pendants. Regardless of the name, with slight connotations, these little items can be used the same way.
I use charms when sometimes a crystal isn’t specific enough for my Intent (spell, ritual). Sometimes I’m doing an Intent based on my job but Citrine, also known as the Merchant’s Stone, isn’t quite specific enough, I’ll include a charm I charged with a specific energy.
For example let’s say I really need a specific day off but my job needs as many employees as it can schedule so often times they deny requests for time off, I’ll do an Intent using a golf pencil I took from the scheduling office.
I also collect the charms I have so that I can reuse them whenever an Intent needs it. Or, if it’s appropriate for the day, I’ll carry the charm in my pocket all day.
The easiest way to charge any object as a charm is if it already has a personal meaning to it. Choose something that reminds you of whatever that energy is. I have two cross pendants; one is wooden that reminds me of Catholicism and the second is metal and reminds me of Protestants. (Not because one is primitive to the other but because one came before the other.)
Once you have chosen an item and it’s meaning is clear, it’s time to charge with energy.
Purify the space you’re in to rid of residue energy (e.g. burning incense)
Use crystals for meditation and visualization, utilize crystal grids (simple or complex)
Write the specific meaning/significance/value of the charm on a piece of paper so you have a clear interpretation of it (you could make a prayer/incantation)
Burn a purple candle and drop wax on the paper connecting your Third Eye/Psyche to the energy attaching itself to the charm (one or two drops per charm, don’t waste a whole candle on one)
Cataloging them in your guild book wouldn’t hurt. Like I mentioned, you can use them in specific Intents or carry them with you. Gift them to friends so they have energies around them. I also collect mine in a box so they aren’t randomly roaming around.
I like to use Charms in my Intents because they’re reusable, less waste and I don’t have to worry about purchasing new ones as if they run out (unless you give it away or lose it). Although I’ve come to realize the best charms are the ones I find randomly on the ground or in an old drawer. They radiate an energy that’s almost communicative like when grandparents tell you a simple memory but it sticks with you forever.
Enjoy your Charms. Happy witching. Questions, comments and criticism are welcome.
I’ve gotten so many phone charms I’ve had to add them to my bad and now fishie is the only one left on my phone (it’s so much lighter now oml) :D
