Blunt, but Sasuke never claimed to be anything else. There's a small beat of silence, the harbinger glancing away from her and looking out towards the setting sun; at the way it swirling the colors in the sky to pinks, yellows, and oranges.
" ... But currently ... assisting you helps with my own goals." Dark eyes remain looking out over the sky before they flicker over towards Lumine, as unreadable as always. " -- Therefore, I offer you my strength. Momentarily."

Not like Sasuke was necessarily annoyed ... well, okay, maybe a little bit. But he had been training under Kakashi for much too long to truly still be completely bothered by the tardiness. If anything, he had shifted himself to where he'd even show up a few minutes later than the agreed upon time when he knew it was his teacher he was meeting.
He shifts, standing up straight from where he was half slouched. " -- You said you wanted to see me, right?"

A hand reaches out towards Dawn's face, thumb brushing over her cheek firmly - but softly - for a moment before pulling back; dark eyes glancing from the pad of his thumb and her cheek again before he's satisfied. Sasuke gives a tiny nod before dropping his hand again, carelessly wiping it on his pant leg.
" -- You had flour on your face. Were you baking?"

It was a miracle that he was event lingering inside the village at all, but he figured he could at least check in. See how his former teammates were doing and the state of the village, even if it made his skin crawl to be within in. Sasuke tilts his head towards Naruto, turning his eyes away from the large window of the Hokage's office to focus on the Hokage in question, hesitating a fraction before speaking once more.

Sasuke broke into a jog when she came into his sight, small arms holding tighter onto the basket within them to ensure that it's contents don't get too jostled that they fall out. He's breathing a bit heavier as he finally slows to a stop, smiling widely as he extends it towards her; chest seeming to puff from pride at being able to complete this small errand.
" -- Mother told me to find you so that I could give you this: it's stuff from her garden!" Including fresh and plump looking tomatoes, the child thought to himself a little longingly.
