Here’s a side-by-side of the old way(Top) & new way(Bottom) to cross from the cliff after the save point to the lab.

The ‘original’ way to get from a save point to the Lab in Hot-Land. The Humans would jump onto the small CrimsonScoria, then across the four large Echos & land on the medium Echo on the Cliff. And vice versa to go back.
