Vulnerable Phantom. (Phanfic written by Deedy, I help with the illustratiing and sorts of things)

Luckily you cannot really know what's going on in the comic if you haven't read the story, and anyway I didn't make the complete plot into graphics. 🙄

I changed and fixed some of the things (the dialogues are the most obvious), so it has some differences compared to the original description. But it doesn't really matter.

I know that when turning textual contents into visual stuff (I mean like pictures, animations, films and so on), lots of things from the original will be missing. And all I could do was to do my best to retell it...

Fortunately it looks fine and I really like the result. I lover how I captured every character's features and expressions...

I didn't use uppercase letters for every word. Does this matter? 😐

It took me almost a month to complete the page (it wasn't like I can work on this every day), but it's worthwhile. I think it was the preparation that took the most of the time. 😐

Many of the things needed me to imagine, like the characters' position, their gestures and expressions, and… They aren't mentioned in the fic since it isn't necessary but the situation is totally different in drawings. 😂(I didn't discuss any of these things with the author, though we did talk about writing blocks)

And as a result, I had made a few sketches of storyboads which showed different perspectives (or sth like that). And I tried and changed them in order to find a nice way to tell the event,😂 and finally there's one fine version.

And there're only 6 panels left. I wanted to put more into one page but failed. There were supposed to be 3 more panels but in this case, it was too hard for me to organise the last 4 or 5 panels, so I just quit drawing those three.

Also, I don't usually draw Jack or Maddie, so I rewatched some scenes from the show and did some study (kind of). And I personally think they look okay here. 😝

Happy Spring Festival, everyone!

I wish you a happy new year and a prosperous year of the pig. 😁😁😁 It seems to me that portals in GZ could lead to some really strange places. And stepping into a random portal is not always the best idea. You have no idea who/what is waiting for you there. 😂

The creature Danny meets, is often called "醒狮" in my place, but media seldom use the name and it's not on wiki😒😒😒. Dance lions are costumes for dancers, but I think it would be more interesting to describe/show them as actual living creatures. They are unicorns with the name of "lion".😂

My headcanons… Well, "lions" would be considered as earth creatures or (not spooks). They have the abilities to scare ghosts/ evil spirits( sometimes the words might be translated to "demons", 🙄), or even hurt (if they want) ghosts. Ghosts can't do whatever they want to the "lions" and that's pretty bothering/creepy to some ghostly creatures… However, the "lions" are not really offensive or that dangerous. They often eat vegetables and mushrooms (totally different from lions), and they are nice to average/common ghosts. Common ghosts are like common (human or else)people to them. 😊

Though, someone like Danny, is… strange. He's the very powerful kind of (half)ghost, with unknown purpose… Which really confuses the lion. 😂And poor Danny thinks he's facing some sort of fierce monsters… 😂😂😂

I did some researches and studies to design 醒狮, this one looks fine to me. 😁It was hard you know…

The colours of the 醒狮 was inspired by a kind of sea creature. BG was inspired by old houses in 佛山, their walls are made of 青砖 and 麻石, but it's not obvious in this pic… 😂
