Once you got back to the Infinity castle you sought out the demons that matched the flower crowns.

"NAKIME-"

The sound of the biwa rang and you were teleported in front of the one-eyed demon.

"There is no need to shout Y/n. I can hear you even if you whisper."

"I have a surprise for you." You giggle as you hop around her. Once you faced her back you gently placed the mainly white flower crown on her head.

You then hopped around to face her with the brightest smile. You watched as she felt the crown without taking it off her head so she could see it.

"Thank you, Y/n." She gave a rare smile as she put it back on her head.

"Can you bring me to Daki and Gyotarou please."

"I'm sorry but they are busy at the moment. It wouldn't be safe where they are."

"Douma?"

"Not here."

"Akaza?"

"No."

"Hantengu or Gyokko."

"Both are out, I'm afraid. Your father is here though."

You pouted ever since you've been back you haven't been able to leave without a trusted demon by your side. Muzan had you under lock and key but he also changed his additude a bit.

"Do you know when anyone will be back."

"No." this time she didn't wait for you to ask another question and with the strum of her biwa she sent you to Muzan's study.

You pushed the door open to see your father at his desk with his eyes glued to a book.

"Hello Y/n."

"Hi father, I made you a present."

"Oh and what would that be." He acted surprised as he looked up from his book. This was the change, he was nicer to you and actually acted like a dad for the first time in a long time.

"A flower crown. Koku brought me to a flower field."

He had a look of annoyance on his face but he tried not to show it. (he was definitely throwing it away once you were gone)

He bent down so you could place it on his head, which you did.

"Y/n did you like your time outside."

"Yes, very much."

"Good, I-"

"Can I go out more?" You asked using puppy dog eyes. (they never work)

"Absolutely not." He said sternly. "You take risks just but leaving the castle, If you try anything It'll be you that gets the punishment."

You looked at thr ground in throught.

'Did Akaza get punished because of me, is that why I haven't seen him since I've been back. I don't want people to get hurt cause of me.'

"Where's Akaza?"

"He's busy." He said going back to his book.

'he wouldn't notice if I went looking for Akaza would he?' You thought as you walked to the door of his office.

"Before you go I want you to know that I'll be checking on you every few hours, troublemaker. If you try anything I will know."

Muzan walked into your room. You haven't made a noise since he put you down for a nap.

He found you staring at the flower themed mobile. He cooed at you as he picked you up.

He had you in his hip while he took a walk around the castle letting you see each demons domains.

You babbled as you played with the buttons on his best.

"My Lord I didn't know you had a kid." Douma commented, seeing him walk by.

"I Don't."

"Please stop pulling my hair." Kokushibo said while grabbing your hands that were tangled in his long locs. You were standing on one of his legs while he was sitting.

Once he got a hold of both of your hands you started to dance

"Da Da Da" You babbled.

"Yeah, that's right dada. Can you say it?"

"Da da... Dadaa."

"Yeah, I'm dada." His blew raspberries into your cheeks.

You giggled and squirmed.

He knew you were a half demon from the start.

You were presented to Douma as a present from one of his followers, you're unique like him. Visually different (I was thinking something like an albino or vitiligo) but still adorable to look at.

"Aww you look so cute Y/n!" He exclaimed as he took you from his follower's arms. You had on an outfit identical to his with a matching hat.

You giggled as he tickled your stomach before sitting you on a soft pillow next to his own.

You always sat next to him and his followers came and visited.

"Do you want your binkie?" Akaza tried to calm you down but nothing was working.

He tried feeding you, cradling you, swaddling you, putting you down for a nap and more.

You would not stop crying.

There was one thing they he hadn't tried yet but he was too embarrassed to do it. Your screams were enough to drive him to do it.

He sung to calm you down.

It worked.

"Ready or not here I come." Daki took of running to find you.

You giggled, not so quietly, as you watched her run around while you were hiding behind Gyotaro.

"Gyotaro where did they go?" Daki whispered as if she didn't know you were behind him. He shrugged cause you to giggle harder.

"GOTCHA" She exclaimed and tried to reach around her brother. You screeched and tried to run but she caught you and threw you in the air.

"HAHA I WIN."

"DON'T THROW THEM!"

There was a festival the week of your families disappearance.

"C'mon Shoya, it's time to go." Your mother called from a crowd, she couldn't see you amongst the crowd and your father was looking

"I'm com-" You bummed into someone's leg and it knocked you down.

Looking up at the person you are net with stricking red eyes.

You picked yourself up and bowed, "I'm sorry." You said as he patted your head.

"It's alright, wheres your mom? Would you like me to bring you to her?" He said it with such a soft smile and everyone in the village knew each other so he had to know your mom right?

"Yes please, she's... I heard her that way?" Your voice grew quiet as you questioned yourself. You looked all around hoping she would call out for you again.

"I don't know where she is." You were about to cry when Muzan picked you up and say you on his hip.

"It's alright well find her." He said while walking through the crown of people. He gave you a false sense of hope.

The two of you walked around the entire village in vain. Your mother and father were no where to be seen.

"How about you spend the night at my house we can continue looking for them tomorrow." Muzan suggested.

You nodded. The realization that you are all alone set in as you started to cry.

"It's alright, Y/n I'm sure we'll find them." He patted your back. You didn't notice what he called you.

"Mr. Kyo, I don't want you to go." You whined as you held onto his pants leg, tugging on him to take at least a day an attempt to get him to stay. You had followed him to the edge of the village before latching onto him as a last resort. He picked you up and placed you on his hip, heading back to his house. "I'll be back soon, don't worry. You'll be in the good hand of Senjuro." He attempted to cheer you up. "But I'm gonna miss you." You cried into his shoulder. Since he adopted you, he had noticed your fear of losing people you were close to. A clear example of this was when you wouldn't let anyone leave the house without you and vice versa. This mission that Rengoku was on was going to take at least a day to get to the station. Kyojuro patted you on your back humming a tune that his mother hummed to him and continued on his way to drop you off with Senjuro.

Broken ribs, a busted eye, and almost completely exhausted. Rengoku was not doing so well, this fight was definitely one of the hardest for him.

The moment he was able to stop and take a deep breath, he did and it hurt. He closed his good eye and relaxed, and image of your crying face popped into his

"I will see my duty fulfilled. No matter what it takes no body will die here." Rengoku was tired and everyone watching could tell.

Smoke clouded the vision of the trio as tension settled in.

When the smoke started to clear and Rengoku could be seen with a pained expression. It had taken the rest of the strength he had left to cut both of Akaza's arms and cut his neck.

"I Will Not Die Here." He screamed as his blade slowly made its way through the demon's neck. "My daughter is waiting for me."

"You won't have to if you become a demon then you could go back to her, safe and sound." Akaza panicked as he tried to persuade the Hashira.

The sun was coming up.

As the sun touch Akaza's skin he winched and kicked Rengoku away from him. He ran into the safety of the trees, taking Rengoku's sword with him.

The flame Hashira laid on his back as the trio surrounded him asking if he was okay.

Rengoku didn't respond instead, he just smiled.

Hello! Can I request the hashira's meeting us again after we went with akaza + muzan when he found out we meet them again. If you don't want to do this request tho that's fine. (Sorry if I miss spelled anything)

You found a way to sneak out and come back without anyone noticing. You would ask Muzan for a day to yourself in the flower room and of course, you wouldn't go there, instead, you would go to Tengen's estate as soon as the moon came up. After a while, they started to expect you and leave out food if they decided to go to sleep early.

Sometimes you would talk to Gyomei and Genya while they were about to go in for the night. Giyuu was always busy so you barely ever saw him, but Shinobu hardly ever slept. She reminded you of your father, the way he would slave over test tubes in hopes of finding something that was seemingly impossible.

Mitsuri and Obanai were rare to find but when you did it seems like you would find them together more after the death of Rengoku. Muichirou is your favorite to go by, he treats you like a little sibling

he may be a demon but he isn't heartless, he is more intact with his human emotions than anyone else

he could tell that upon your return you were different

Normally you would get on everyone's nerves until Muzan stopped you. You still did that but there were moments when he would catch you staring off into space

You also started talking to him less

He knew you would leave almost every day and he just let you. He couldn't bare to take another punishment from Muzan plus you attitude improved everyday

He is your father above all else, he wasn't just going to let you go but at the same time you making a bond with the Hashira could be useful down the line

He didn't like the idea of using his child like that but if it meant the both of you could be immortal than he would do anything

He would have a demon follow you until you got into any estate

You took off running towards Akaza crying.

"Akaza wait, please wait I wanna go Home. I'm sorry I never run away again." You wailed as your skin started to burn.

You were fast but not fast enough to catch up to Akaza, luckily he heard you.

He turned around and ran to you, he was just about to pick you up when a sword went through his chest. He ignored it, grabbed you and ran.

Hanafuda was shouting. You didn't want to look back because you know you'll see Rengoku's body.

You just cried into Akaza's chest. That's all you could do. You cried until you fell asleep.

Akaza was livid not because of you, in fact he was glad you decided to come back, but because of Hanafuda. He had no other choice but to run, the sun was coming up, couldn't he see that?

"It's alright, I'm not mad at you." He said as he rubbed you back and continued on his way to the infinity castle. He knew you were asleep but it still felt good to say.

You woke up in your room, on your bed surrounded by a multitude of pillows. Everything was the same as when you left it, at first glance at least.

Slowly you got up and looked around.

It was like you were in another dream, nothing seemed real yet. Even though you didn't have much time with Rengoku he taught you a lot. He was the first human death that you experienced.

Walking around your room, you notice yourself in the mirror. You looked the same, but something was clearly different, you couldn't put your finger on it.

*knock knock knock*

"I know your up Y/n." Your father said as he opened the door. (A/n Why do parents knock if they're going to open the door without permission anyway)

"Father. I'm so so sorry. I'll never run away again, I promise." You ran to hug his legs but he didn't hug back.

"Y/n look at me."

Doing what he said you look up at him with tears forming in your eyes. He kneeled to your height.

"You cannot put yourself in harms way like that. I don't care what you wanted to see when you could've died. You will be by my side until further notice. Do you understand?"

You nodded.

"Good."

"Father, you were human once, why do you want to kill them?"

He didn't answer your question and instead, he gestured for you to follow. Which you did.

On the way to wherever you were going, he talked.

"You can die just by standing out in the sun. Humans are weak, they get sick, grow old, and die they barely live for century while we can live forever. I get that you're curious, but we are not completely immortal. YOU are not immortal; as my child, your safety is my top priority."

You stared at his back while he talked. It was normal for you to receive this kind of lecture from him.

Normally you would tune him in out of annoyance but this time you listened or at least until you caught something out of the corner of your eye.

Looking over you see a blonde blur getting bigger. You almost didn't realize that it was getting closer to you.

Your father sighed, "Douma don't-"

"Y/N-SAN YOU'RE BACK." Douma smushed you in his arms, rubbing his cheek against the top of your head.

"Hi Douma" you say, hugging him back.

He picked you up and twirled you around while your father pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

These demons were going to be the death of him.

Akaza was on his way out when he saw you, douma and Muzan. Muzan had not yet given him a punishment for letting you get injured. It left the basketball demon waiting in anticipation.

He was terrified.

"Ow, oooow." You whined as you rolled on your back clutching the arm. You healed almost instantly but unfortunately you don't get hurt often and don't have a tolerance for pain.

"There you are Y/n. What's seems to be the matter." He carefully picked you up and examined you.

"My arm and leg were broken. Its fine now."

Setting you on his hip he went to check on the others. The train was a complete mess. Passengers were crawling out from the reck confused as to what just happened.

The boar man and yellow guy helped the injured.

there's another demon, far off into the wood but coming fast. You could sense it.

Hanafuda was on his back barely breathing.

"You've mastered total concentration constant, that's quite impressive."

As Rengoku helped Hanafuda the demon came closer and closer. He was now close enough to be recognized.

"AKAZA!" You jumped out of Kyojuro's arms just as he sensed him too.

Rengoku pushed you behind him. Akaza went after Hanafuda, but Rengoku stopped him by slicing his arm. Behind Rengoku you were closing Hanafuda's wounds.

You knew someone was going to die now that he showed up.

"why would you go after a wounded person first over me."

"I thought he would get in the way of our little chit-chat is all."

"What is it that you would like to discuss. While this is our first-time meeting, I already dislike you." Rengoku said with a straight face. You would've laughed if not for the current situation.

"Is that right? Well, I dislike weak human beings. The mere sight of them makes my skin crawl."

"If that is the case, I do not believe that we will ever get along."

"Be that as it may let me make you an offer. Why don't you become a demon as well."

"No thanks." Rengoku said, straight forward as always.

"I can tell just by looking at you that you're strong. A Hashira Huh. So that's who's been looking after Y/n all this time. Your fighting spirit has been tempered like quality steel. Your name?"

"I'm the flame hashira, Kyujuro Rengoku."

"I am Akaza as you may already know. Kyojuro, despite being a Hashira your strength is not enough because your merely human is destined to grow old and eventually die. Become a demon Kyojuro, doing so will allow you to better yourself for a hundred maybe two hundred years." Akaza waisted his breath trying to persuade the purest human you've ever met.

"Both growing old and passing away, these are things that make being human beautiful. Those may seem like weaknesses to you, but our lives are all the more precious and honorable because of them. You see true strength does not refer to the physical body. This boy is not weak, don't insult him. Let me be clear, the two of us will never see eye to eye no matter what twisted reason you give. I will not yield."

To Akaza his speech meant nothing but to you, it opened your eyes even wider. You already knew that the human was fighting for their lives against the demons but the conversation between Akaza and Rengoku showed you the big difference between demons and humans.

Demons don't die unless they are killed, Humans die regardless, and yet they still fight to preserve whatever life they have.

Your father was once Human, is he scared to die? Is this why he's been trying so hard to find the blue spider lily. Your father may be a demon, but he is afraid of death just like a human.

"I see. Technique development: Destructive death compass needle." Akaza got into his signature fighting stance. "I guess I'll just have to kill you then."

They both were so fast, you couldn't keep up with it. From the looks of it neither could Hanafuda.

'oh right hanafuda' His wound wasn't fully closed yet he was still trying to move.

"You shouldn't move yet." You warned him, he didn't listen.

"I'm fine, thank you."

"But you're not!"

He tried to get up again as the boar head was ready to fight too.

"Stay there!" Rengoku scared all three of you. "You can't reopen that wound of yours it'll kill you. Let Y/n heal you." Even midbattle he is looking after others.

"Y/n healing a human. What have you done to them, they never cared before." Akaza's attacks were relentless you wanted to go and help but what could you do.

You've never been in a fight before and you don't take pain well. You could only watch as you healed hanafuda.

You couldn't bare to watch it anymore, even when the battlefield grew quite.

"I will see my duty fulfilled. No matter what it takes no body will die here." Rengoku was tired and you could tell, that was it.

Smoke clouded your vision as Hanafuda shielded you.

The smoke started to clear and Rengoku could be seen with a pained expression.

"Ren-" Akaza punched him straight through the stomach. "No." You muttered.

Even with all his injuries he still tried to cut off Akaza's head.

Hanafuda acted quicker than you, running to grab his sword.

"What should I do?"

Rengoku gave you a ticket as the man approached. You gave it to him to punch.

'Somethings wrong.' you thought as you smelt the newly punched ticket. Its faint but you can definitely smell lower moon Enmu. The lights started flickering and suddenly you were back at the infinity castle. In your father's experiment room.

'this can't be right.' you looked around to find something- anything out of place. Nothing.

You could hear footsteps approach the room.

The door opened.

"Papa!" You ran up to him as he kneeled getting himself ready for impact as your body hugged him, a near bone crushing hug if he was human.

"I'm sorry papa, I only wanted to see the flowers I never wanted to cause you trouble." You sobbed into his shoulder as he comforted you.

"What are you talking about, Y/n? What flowers, you have a flower garden in here?"

"Oh right my flower garden. Can we go there I wanna show you something." You pretended to be confused, You realized this was a dream. You didn't wan to wake up.

"Ah little Y/n your father is worried to death over you, let's get you home yeah." Enmu said from the first car.

He sent a child to bring you to him.

It's uncommon for a demon to sleep as soundly as you but it was also hard for you face reality. You caused many problems for your father and against his wishes. However, you weren't guilty of it. In fact your glad that you were able to see the outside world and meet so many people... The same people who want to kill demons.

You want everyone to get along but it's not that simple. You'd rather not think about it.

What a mess, a sad tragedy.

"Did I do good?" The child brought you laid you in front of Enmu.

"Yes you did, A wonderful dream awaits you."

The poor girl fell to the ground. dead.

"Y/n~ I would what you could be dreaming about." Enmu pet your head. "I would've never thought my little spell would work on you."

Dragging him to your flower garden you sat him down it the center.

"Blood demon art: Botanical Communication." (name is a work in progress)

As your demon art activated the flowers around started to dance and change color creating a beautiful display of mesmerizing imagery. You danced with the moving flowers as they formed each image. Muzan clapped and encouraged you to continue.

The images you made mimicked the things that you have seen on your time outside of the castle.

This might be a dream but It's the happiest you've been in a long time.

'I should wake up now... I should- shouldn't I'

The train has now been completely taken over by Enmu. You were in his 'head' with the conductor to watch over you. It wasn't long before Hanafuda and the boar man to know that and start attacking it.

They successfully killed the lower moon and broke the spell on you.

You woke up in tear on the ground. Looking around you see the derailed train behind you. You try and push you self up failing to see you right arm and leg have been broken.

'Father?'

'Why did you leave' his voice boomed in your head giving you a headache.

'Answer me'

'I wanted to go outside. I wanted to see real flowers.'

'You foolish child, you put yourself in danger, in the hands of the enemy. I cannot see to your safety if you are not here.' He was beyond angry and you could feel it.

You didn't even realize Rengoku had picked you up cause you head was pounding.

"Y/n are you alright." His voice was gentle as he spoke, it was kinda weird to hear that tone from him. You nodded in response.

The train station wasn't that far, you could see and hear the unfamiliar sound of the train engine as it stopped for the people to get on.

You and Rengoku got your seats on the train. You sat next to him as he as started to eat an ungodly amount of bento boxes.

"You would like some Y/n. It might be awhile before you eat again." He grabbed a bento, opened it and offered it to you.

"No, thank you I'm good."

"Alright then... Umai."

A bunch of Umai's later (and you getting secondhand embarrassment) Rengoku's eating was interrupted by 3 demon slayers, One of which wore Hanafuda.

Muzan taught you to be afraid of the one who wore hanafuda earrings. 'He is stronger than I, if you ever come across him run.' he would say. As if you blood and body reacted on its own you broke out in a cold sweat, while pushing as far away from the boy as possible.

"h-hanafuda." unfortunately Rengoku didn't hear your frail voice as he invited the boy to sit with him as the other 2 sat elsewhere.

He placed the box across from you and sat across from Rengoku.

"And what brings the 3 of you here? a mission." He asked
