Here's my submission to the competition! Thank you @catmask and @frogcroaks for this fun opportunity! I did this all in one sitting because I cannot be stopped mwehehe

I tried my best to make the design look not too crazy/busy despite being based off sparkle dogs lol. I spelled inspiration wrong whoops sorry

Lore:

"Discovered in Pripyat, this creature appeared friendly from a distance, waving at us with a kind smile. Although we couldn't approach due to levels of radiation drastically spiking, we can only assume it's a trap."

MEOWDY! IT'S TIME FOR AN ART CONTEST!

for a portion of the month of OCTOBER 2024 (OCT. 1- OCT. 25) my friend lemmy @frogcroaks and i will be hosting a monster design contest!

FOR THIS CONTEST, YOU HAVE TO DESIGN A MONSTER WITH ONE OF THESE THREE THEMES...

TOXIC MELTDOWN, WYSTERIA WILLO-WHISP, or DESERT OASIS!

SO HERE ARE THE RULES...

the piece displaying your monster design can be any art medium, though it must be your own original design, and it must show the monster's full body at least once!

designs with offensive undertones—such as racism/cultural appropriation—will not be accepted. please research your design's origin and meanings, and be respectful.

you can only submit to one theme, so there is one entry per contestant!

failure to adhere to these rules will result in disqualification.

after the event ends on the 25th of october, 3 WINNERS (one from each category) will be selected by the two judges and announced on the 31st (HALLOWEEN)!

THE PRIZES...

1st place in each category will receive - two artworks of your monster design - one by myself, and one by lemmy!

honorable mention/judges pick - lemmy and i will also select our favorite designs from each of the three categories, and do a chibi drawing of those selected winners!
