I truly don't care that they're making her black because it's just a movie and I'll be perfectly fine and shes a great pick for astrid but what bugs me about it is that big companies will cast minorities to be more diverse but it feels like they're exploiting the actor/actress by using their image to make themselves look good.
"Look! Our cast is diverse! Give us your money!" While they expose their actors to loads of backlash and racial discourse

I’ll hold you hand when I say this, but dragons aren’t historically accurate either. No one cares that she’s Black
That being said, I still think the costumes look too cartoonish, this one as well, and it does make the whole movie look a bit uncanny valley. But that’s besides the point.
