Since the PO fandom uses this chart to show how their ocs are with the other boxer, I thought I’d give it a shot too!
Ramble under cut
Glass Joe!
Why wouldn’t Kirby like him? Joe is such a kind guy, and he shows Kirby the best cafes with the best strawberry shortcakes ever!! They love each other’s company, and they don’t really have a reason to dislike each other. Sure Joe is a little concerned about Kirby fighting these huge guys that can knock him down in one punch, but Kirby is pretty well off. There’s no need to worry
Von Kaiser!
He’s cool with Kirby. Not too swayed by his cuteness, but not too disgusted by his cartoony personality. Kaiser focuses a bit more on Kirby’s small height, unconfirmed age, and his species entirely. Sometimes Kirby would swing by his place to get training, tips, gift giving, or just hanging out! Kirby sees Kaiser as a bigger friend than the other way around.
Disco Kid!
Kirby’s like a little brother to him, AND a best friend too! Disco and Kirby stuck together like glue after their fight and throughout the minor circuit. If Kirby ever has a question or problem, Disco is the first person he’d call! Also, Disco is just a train ride away! They’d hang out together at dance clubs, or at Disco’s house. They never stop smiling when the other is around!
King Hippo!
Given how Hippo lives with Disco for a home, Hippo sees Kirby a lot and really enjoys his presence! Hippo would take Kirby out to fun lil farmers markets and outdoor cafes for funsies and for food! Maybe an eating competition here and there, but only if Disco has the money and/or space. They’re just best friends!
Piston Hondo!
Hondo will never EVER admit he was swayed by Kirby’s cuteness and charm. Hence why he distances himself from the little guy. The least Hondo did to assist Kirby is give him a little advice and Japanese treats for him after fights. Kirby kinda treats Hondo like Meta Knight, which is like Kirby giving Meta space when needed as he’s to as close as he would be now. (Kirby was transported after RTDL and they were all still trying to get accustomed to Meta Knight not wanting them dead.) Hondo and Kirby’s friendship is just…a casual thing.
Bear Hugger!
BEST friends! Bear Hugger is like another Doc to Kirby, but has less time to be with him. Bear is almost always checking on Kirby, and making sure he gets outside when he’s having bad days in or just to see the the Canadian animals in the area!
Great Tiger!
They’re like two peas in a pod! Tiger finds it easy to communicate with Kirby despite not speaking in a language he’s understood or learned. Great Tiger is also the only person who seems out of wack in a way Kirby can relate to. They’re great friends!
Don Flamenco!
Don really tries to make amends with Kirby, but he holds onto grudges like they’d run away if he lets go. He can’t bring himself to fully hate Kirby because he’s cute, he’s too kind, and Kirby brings little presents each time he swings by. Also Carmen LOVE Kirby’s presence, so he mustn’t hate him and make her sad. Kirby just sees Don as a friend though. He knows what it’s like for someone to resent him for just existing, so he tries to be casual and slightly distanced.
Aran Ryan!
Kirby really really tries to be friends with Aran but CANNOT trust him. Aran always acts like friends with Kirby for a few days, and then breaks his trust in some major way. Kirby’s just too gullible and constantly gets back to a little friendship, but then Aran breaks his trust again. Aran just finds Kirby’s inability to not have friends funny, constantly playing dirty little pranks on the oblivious little guy that just wants to be friends with him. It sort of disgusts Aran how friendly Kirby can be with everyone and how everyone always makes amends. He’s just a hater.
Soda Popinski!
Also best friends! Soda is like some super cool big guy to Kirby, and Kirby likes super cool big guys! Kinda like Dedede! Kirby was concerned for Soda after he started drinking like crazy and the scientists tried to distance Kirby from him. Soda likes Kirby! He’s ashamed to admit it, but picking up people that are smaller than him is super fun! And Kirby likes getting picked up, so it was like an immediate friendship.
Bald Bull!
Bald Bull and Kirby’s relationship is pretty average! Kirby kinda looks at Bull like an idol as his boxing match was what inspired him to box too! Bald Bull doesn’t really like being seen as an idol, but lets it slide because Kirby isn’t too overbearing or invasive. Kirby thinks Bull is super cool, but is scared seeing him in the ring.
Super Macho Man!
Can barely remember who Kirby is. He only started to paid attention to him after he lost, but even then he barely cared about Kirby. Kirby had tried to be friends with Macho, but Macho mainly cared about his hot babes and money. The WVBA pays him to show up to the stadiums and box. If it weren’t for that, Macho wouldn’t even care to be there.
Mr. Sandman!
Can’t get over the fact, and never will get over the fact that he’s lost to nothing but mere children in his career. However after the TD match, Sandman began to respect Kirby. He didn’t know his branded attack was the name of Kirby’s home. Being cool with Kirby is the least he could do for him. Kirby still gets a bit confused when Mr. Sandman talks about putting someone to sleep or his home. Overall, they’re cool!
Little Mac…
“Never heard Mac…name a lil…fa..mil..liar…”
Doc Louis!
Literally Kirby’s dad. Kirby is literally Doc’s child. Doc treats Kirby like how he’s treated Mac when he was still there, and Kirby is like the Little Mac that Doc has been missing. Doc has tried to do an eating competition with Kirby, and keeps losing. After every fight, (or just for fun,) Kirby and Doc go out and eat a bunch of chocolate flavored pastries until they’re (Doc) full.
Carmen!
“Mi niña, mi hija! (My girl, my daughter!)” Despite others telling Carmen Kirby is a boy because he’s a boxer and such, Carmen sees Kirby like the daughter she’s never had! Whenever Kirby visits, Carmen is just super happy!
The Ref.
Kirby tries to be friendly towards the Ref, but he just doesn’t talk to him enough. The Ref honestly dislikes any boxer. They’re all crazy and he doesn’t get paid enough to deal with their shenanigans.

He attempted to find Mac at some point, but never found anything so he just gave up. [Despite really not wanting to.]
Nick Bruiser was his one win, but the fight ended so badly that it wasn't shown to the public. (A stage light became loose..)
After all of the fights with Kirby, he treats the boy with a little something from a cafe nearby! Maybe they could be used in other fights later on?? ![After the explosion, Kaiser stuck around in the rebuilding process. Mostly because he was still a boxing teacher, but also because he wants to know how the stadium exploded in the first place. [Thinking about it now, he's just super worried about what happend to Mac.]
He's had PTSD before the NES fight, but it was very mellowed down and didn'r effect him much. It was only after he got a new batch of bratty kids that didn't respect him one bit, that his PTSD flared up again.

![Basically just like the commercial, has made blenders and tried to sell them but inevitably failed. He does speak English, but not well.
King Hippo couldn't find ANYTHING to do with himself after the other stadium blew up. He stayed home, and like I said earlier, advertised his blenders. He also ate a lot more. He did basically nothing while the other stadium was shut down.
A friend of Disco's is a friend of Hippo! Since Disco gives King Hippo a home [for his bouts], they've been very close. ![Was actually an average boxer until a wizard showed up and cursed him. It felt like a curse to randomly teleport places and have clones that were super snarky, but he managed to work with it later on.
After the older stadium blew up, The Great Tiger decided to further strengthen his control over magic and boxing skills while keeping an eye out for info on Mac's disappearance.
After his fights with Kirby, Great Tiger lets him tag along to his rapping sessions just for fun. (Despite it sounding horrible to everyone else, Kirby loved it! ![At first, Popinski was a horrible alcoholoc. Despite the WVBA giving him lots of money, it was burnt out in under a week from lethal amounts of drinks. It somehow strengthened his immune system, but it was unhealthy nonetheless.
[Last minute addition: The WVBA added breathalizer tests to enter the leagues. He did NOT pass the first few tests. He had to go back and give up vodka to keep engaging in his passion. It took a few months of struggling and help from friends to fully give up alcohol and be able to box again.]
After the other stadium blew up, he drank until he forgot about the old stadium and rigorously trained like he had a fight coming up. After he finished all of that training, the new stadium finally opened.

![Super Macho Man is just like Bald Bull, but he's only in all of the stadiums for the money. Macho man can barely remember the other boxers names.
Super Macho Man went to the cross-world stadium by choice, (and by minor fan demand) and gave himself a new look. Fans were upset after seeing that phoney of Macho Man in the stadium taking his place over the real deal.
After his fights with Kirby, Macho Man becomes [another] sort of fun uncle and would spoil him until he was rotten. ![It has taken Mr. Sandman the longest to get over his grudge with Kirby. Not only was Kirby [roughly] the same size as Mac, He barely took the sport seriously! He had to teach that boy what's what!
The reason his record was different from the last few records he's had is because he's now the champion! He's more intimidating, AND he can tell most of the WVBA staff whatever he wants. So when Mr. Sandman became champion, it wasn't too hard to change his record.

The quality might be bad, and to that I say: Contender and Title Defense Drawings were made in huge gaps in time, AAAAND I'm using my laptop. the next chain of images will be for Dedede, Meta Knight, Taranza, Magolor, Susie, and Elfilin! The entirety of Star Allies might get their own section because it's such a jam packed-game, and I have it play out VERY differently in my AU. Sorry if this post is super long!

Glass Joe:
Oh I remember this guy, I wonder how much I'll recognize.
My first thought is, he seems spineless.
But the fact we're looking into these characters makes me want to underestimate this guy less, I feel like he could still pull off a knock out if you're caught off guard.
I'm not sure, but I feel like I've seen him make a serious face haha.
Or maybe he really is what he's name describes, made of glass... 😢
Yeah, he is the first opponent after all
Hm, but I won't hate on him though.
If he gets to step onto the ring, then he must have some background.
Although he's reputation probably caused him to be called Glass Joe since he's quite feeble.
Von Kaiser :
Yep, this guy definitely looks like he can pack a punch.
He's posture kind of tells me he's stiff enough to stand his ground, take a hit or two.
And land one heavy blow, but at the same time I feel like he could only pull off one good punch at a time.
He's pose also tells me he likes upper cuts, but that's just me reading too much into it haha.
He has a one shot move in title defense mode, which cause an insta k.o.
Ohhhh, does that mean I guessed pretty good?

Disco Kid :
A part of me likes the first Von Kaiser over this guy.
But in terms of level of skill, this guy looks less stiff than Kaiser.
I feel like his punches could be weaker than Kaiser, but what would I know.
But I think I'd say the difference in skill is how less stiff he is, he seems loose.
So like he'd be able to pull off more quick moves and is nimble.
Uses plenty of motion techniques with his arms legs and body.
I'm sure he's disco name tells plenty of how much he likes to move his body.
King Hippo:
This guy really feels like the test of skill based on the opponents you've fought so far.
A mini boss in the halfway point.
He looks quite big so making head shots feels like it could be tough, I feel like he doesn't even need to dodge as much with a body as fat and big as that... Feel like he could just tank it.
Alongside that I bet he can deal some lethal total knock out blows.
I know I said he's head seems hard to reach, but I also think you'd do better damage hitting him in the head haha.
The tip of his head looks so smooth and solid, feels like the only place where a solid blow would count.

Prince Emperor ( son of Narcis Prince )
Personality: Confident, vain, and a bit oblivious due to his inability to smell, Prince Emperor has a crush with Rosalinda much to her chagrin. He and Jermaine had some rivalry going on
Prince Rhino Hippo ( King Hippo's first cousin removed )
Personality: A calm and nurturing figure who is a student but serves at a school clinic, showing kindness and patience. His laid-back nature brings a soothing energy to the group, he is everyone's personal therapist
Melissa Sandman ( daughter of Mr. Sandman )
Personality: Easy-going and chill, she doesn't give off the intense vibe like her parent, Mr. Sandman. She’s also fairly nonchalant but can be serious when needed.
Argo and Echo Kagero ( relative of Heike Kagero )
Personality: Ergo is vocal and energetic but can fall asleep at a moment’s notice, while her sister Echo never speaks but is very observant and always awake. ( They're conjoined twins )
Chazz ( son of Super Macho Man )
Personality: Though he appears tough or prideful due to his father's background, Chazz is a down-to-earth, nature-loving individual with a calm demeanor. He's blind but can function well
Sweet Embrace ( daughter of Bear Hugger )
Personality: Silent and enigmatic, Sweet Embrace communicates through physical grunts and gestures, never speaking verbally.
Rhema "Starr Kid" ( Disco Kid's niece )
Personality: Outgoing, loud, and full of life despite her hearing impairment, Rhema is an exciting and bright character who keeps people moving.
"Richard" Bruiser ( son of one of the Bruiser brothers )
Personality: Intimidating at first glance, but actually warm-hearted, Richard is surprisingly down-to-earth and easygoing, with a soft spot for Viktoriya.
Richard is just a nickname, though he knows that his name is unfortunate but he doesn't care
Tiffa Pasta ( daughter of Pizza Pasta )
Personality: Mischievous and unpredictable, Tiffa loves hacking things and causing mayhem, even on a large scale like hacking a government presentation. Kinda like Izzy from total drama
