Final and third rant :D
Alright I'm breaking this into sections or id just keep going in circles and this is giving me a nice break from putting in my new hair extentions lol
The time-line
WTF IS going on if they want dante to not know vergil is alive it would have to be before 3 but then he shouldn't have met lady yet,[if I'm remembering correctly] even if I'm not ot still wouldn't make sence due to the age revel of vergil being alive in the games the only way that dante not knowing he was spardas son would work is if it happened before the games but then he can't figure out vergil is alive agghhh I'm so confused at this

I actuly do dislike her characet as much as I was scared I would and they kept her backstory relatively the same [Yuppie :D]
However still confused on some parts of her like the organization I already forgot it's name lol

Alice in wonderland theme was actuly pretty cool but why did the guy have to be human honestly I would have preferred it if he stayed mysterious with no known motives as I feel it makes him a more compelling villan sure his backstory makes sence with his actions but how did he open the portal between the demon and human realm without the amulet why not just keep doing that why the while villan slick ...... also why sew you rabbit head costume on IT DOESNT NEWD TO BE SEWN ON
Also I'm amazed they didn't redesign the devil trigger it was actuly pretty cool, same with the introduction of lady's heavy power gun but was missing something.......SOMENE GETTING A MOTTERCYCLE CHUCKED AT THEM [dmc, dmc5] where was it
Also where was Trish she's from the first game and was one of the first characters introduced but I guess she didn't make the cut????

Ok I got a lot on this one lol
His ass would not give away his side of the amulet it was the last thing his mother have him he wouldn't just give it up sure it's destroy the barrier between the demon and human realm witch is sumtjing he's tried to do before but he still heald on to the amulet not Arhum [i can't spell his name] it just does make any sence to me why not open the relms yourself and cut out the middle man especially cuz the white rabbit is human and he believes humanity is weaker the demon kind why would he trust this task to the white rabbit it seemed Hella weird to me also idk that he dot 5 seconds of screen time I needed to see him slice someone with that katana lol ,
So much of this storyline made no sence and seemed like they didn't really try to relate it beack to the series at all aside from some one liners [ the re joke cuz say it with me now " devil may cray was origanly a resedent evil 4 " ]but beyond that seemed lack luster at best
But I'm a deprived dmc fan so I'll take what I can get : /

How TF DID THE WHITE RABBIT HAVE the two parts of spardas amulet like what happened to vergil sure he stole dantes but vergil took down a hole legion as a child is the visions of v comic he had to fight to survive cuz [ in his memory] his mim left him to protect dante I could believe dante getting his amulet taken as he did in the show cause in dmc 3 vergil stole it [ if I remember correctly it's been a while] BUT VERGIL ??!!also how tf does the white rabbit have spardas sword , I would really enjoy the series if it made sence with the established lore cuz the animation and sound tract are amazing [ DANTE WOULD LOVE LIMP BIZKIT FIGHT ME ]but I can't with dantes backstory cuz one of the reasons sparda wanted to protect the human relationship was because his wife ava was human this is why dante goes on the protect them and why vergil hates his human side for being weak so him NOT KNOWING MAKES NO FUCKING SENCE ,?!?! ReBELION IS LITERLY A DEMONIC SWORD !!!!!!! I'm on epesode 4 now lol
Random rant that idk if anyone will care about but ..
What is going on the the new dmc show, like why make is so dante doesn't know that he's a demon a huge part of his character was his past as one of the sons or sparda and they just make is so he doesn't know?! I'm only 3 episodes in and it already make no sence i wanted to love this show but it's not looking to great atm, I wouldn't mind if they changed a few things but dante not knowing he's the son of sparda is a strange thing to change and kind of putting me off, and from what I've seen there also gonna completely change lady's story as well ,wich I personally think is weird cuz her origanal story was so good in dmc three and left a great impact on the storyline... idk mabey I'm over reacting , but I didn't have that high of expectations but idk
And the villan "the white rabbit" actuly was kinda compelling in the first epesode he is that same kind of key villan that fits the series , a demon possessing a child's toy lol,but he is not enough to save the series, it is also kinda funny to me [ as a catholic] how they just seem to try to add religion in every other sentence sure their dealing with demons but come on region isn't the main focus of the series and they way they went about it just screamed edgy teens that want to show a character is religious spewing things that are vaguely Cristian/catholic but not actuly found anywhere in the Germans or teachings is strange and annoyingly repetitive ...AND WTF IS WITH THE DOCTOR ,HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE AMULET,HOW DO YOU DEVELOP DEMON BULLETS ,WTF IS GOING ON 😆

Been playing DMC 2 recently and i gotta say, this game is pretty fun actually!
Haven't started the Lucia route yet but i've been having a lot of fun playing as Dante so i don't really understand why people hate this game so much tbh
Yeah sure the enemies are kinda dumb but still the combat is pretty nice, dante looks cool as hell and you can double jump and run on walls and that's cool as hell (also Dante's design in this game is just incredible beautiful magnificent i love his outfit so much)

vergil omorashi headcanons
this is what i spend most of my time thinking about, so this is what im gonna talk about 🤷
this guy 😈😈
this guy has extreme incontinence issues i can feel it (or im projecting, but no one has picked up these traits quite like he does)
first of all yknow how easy it is to just be born with incontinence? you wouldnt notice til a little above potty training age but its so simple to just be genetically predisposed to accidents; and then on top of that he went through insane childhood trauma at the age of like 8, effectively stunting him from growing out of it
his bladder isnt small, or even weak, per se, it just has problems. so hes able to exist for a good portion of his day without any worries, only having to use the bathroom like 3-4 times on an average day, but when that urge kicks in, its usually a good hour or more late, and sometimes thats enough that he simply doesnt have the time to find a bathroom, or do much else but try not to wet himself, of course in complete futility.
and you know how he reacts to all this? by pretending it doesnt exist. he acts like hes got completely normal bathroom habits despite not even being able to properly gauge how bad he has to go until hes way desperate.
he spends enough of his life alone and away from society that it takes quite a while for this to pose any real issues, but that doesnt mean all of his life, and it is one of the first things about him that people who spend an extended amount of time (or just the right wrong 5 minutes) around him learn, and usually the last, as well
he doesnt think about any of it at all during 90% of his day, but beats himself up endlessly from the moment he feels the need to go, until hes either able to resolve it, or it resolves itself. hes got a very firm belief that he needs perfect physical strength, and that includes his bladder capacity, he believes he should be able to hold indefinitely, which is extra hard on him when he can barely hold it for any time at all. for the same reason, hes not very squirmy, having the tendency to lock up as opposed to bouncing around, partially not willing to admit he has to go, and partially not willing to admit that its bad enough to take precedent over literally anything else.
god forbid he has an accident (it happens kinda regularly), he actually does not know how to process it, and becomes incredibly hostile toward any privy parties, though not outwardly violent. mostly he snaps about acting like it never happened, threatening painful death upon anyone who acts differently, and then just goes on to actually acting like it never happened.
quick side note, dante does not have incontinence issues. not to say hes never been caught short, or isnt a little irresponsible when it comes to taking personal breaks, but he has a normally functioning bladder, unlike vergil. as kids dante was incredibly supportive and protective of vergils issues, but upon being separated, he kind of assumes theyd be grown out of and doesnt think about it past childhood memories (which tbh he prob doesnt think abt much anyway)
to say hes shocked to see vergil hasnt seemed to grow out of them at all (despite his efforts to hide it) is an understatement. the first incident, theyd probably be engaged in battle with each other, and dante manages unexpectedly to knock vergil off balance. the fight ends there, as it becomes clear to dante that something is very off, and hes too concerned abt his brother for any dmc plot to drive him to continue fighting. after a short moment dante realizes that vergil is, in fact, in the middle of a complete accident, to which he cant help but laugh, with a teasing remark. this whole event cuts vergil pretty deep, but he ignores it as per usual, and dante brushes it off as well, figuring vergil was simply caught short, with unfortunate timing; but he does reminisce on similar events from their childhood, for the first time since then.
when it happens again, in a situation a little less forgiving than being actively engaged in battle, it starts to turn gears in dantes mind, and it only takes a third time for dante to fully understand the extent of the issue at play. hes no longer nearly as supportive as he used to be, but thats only because he quickly learns that bullheaded stubborness plays a decent part in vergils struggles; and he still is some - because he knows its not all his fault, and hes also still incredibly protective when it comes to prying eyes, or even vergil beating himself up, which he does, a lot.

silly fact: dante's not even first in line, he's actually last (with vergil taking up the front). he's just the only one still coherent enough to yell at nico through the door. the way things look; it doesnt really matter where in line any of them are ...

I haven't played DmC: Devil May Cry, and never will purely because of aesthetic choices, but these are great articulations of why this game isn't really a Devil May Cry game, even if it shares the same title.
Okay, time to list out all my problems with DMC:Devil May Cry.
What sucks about it, is that it probably would've been very well loved by a specific audience if they just didn't make it a DMC game. Change all the names, and you'd have a probable cult classic, but we're looking at this as a DMC game so here's my problems with it.
-Very 2012-2013 start with the whole Dante is a Cool Guy who goes to Strip Clubs and Drinks and Has Sex
-Immediate insult to gamers/fans who like Dante's OG look by having a white wig land on him and him check his reflection to say "Not in a million years."
-Kat being the first woman character introduced with powers who isn't kicking ass and taking names. From everything we know about several minutes into the game, the fact she's aware of demons means she should be packing a glock at minimum. Not a good sign for what they will do with her.
-Vergil is introduced with 0 drip.
-Retconning of Dante and Vergil being half HUMAN half demon, by making them half ANGEL half demon. As if this doesn't just sort of spit in the face of every single devil may cry game before it. The entire point of DMC3 alone was Vergil doing all he can to abandon his humanity. The underlying point of every single game DMC1, 2, 3, and 4 is Dante clocking the humanity in others, resonating with it, and finding it worth the effort to save or protect. And they just toss all of this out for them to be...half angels which still doesn't even add anything to their abilities because their demonic abilities from being half demon alone with what's always been utilized. It's just a stupid and unnecessary plot change that does more harm than good.
-Too much cussing. Cussing isn't a bad thing, but there's so much there's absolutely no space for clever wordplay because "fuck, shit, piss, slut, etc" are in constant rotation.
-Kat's entire dialogue with Dante where she explains she's always had these special abilities, and they tried to make it go away and control her via giving her medication. I don't think I have to elaborate on how poorly the messaging around this aged.
-Dante's hair turning white being his devil trigger form is such a lazy character design move when we get cool monster form, again, in every other game before this one.They don't even utilize visual story telling for this one. They could've made it where when we meet Vergil, who has white hair, we then see the flashback of them as kids where their hair is both brown. But since Vergil has white hair as a child, it can't even be used as a "Vergil is always in devil trigger" sort of storytelling. Like, had kid Vergil been shown with brown hair like Dante, that would've been a nice little warning to the audience that something was up with him. Yet. Nothing.
-The voice actor for Dante should've had his lines redone for his fight sounds. It was very bland to listen to, especially when doing repetitive moves.
-Dante is not having fun at all during this game. Like, he's not. There's not a single boss fight, even after he's done, where he looks like or acts as though he's having a remotely good time. He's annoyed or pissed off 90% of the time which is just...that's not Dante.
-The way the two main women are framed and treated in this game is so misogynistic I think I'd need a separate paper to examine everything, but I'll summarize it as a dudebro's mantra of "There's only 2 types of women. Dedicated housewives and ugly sluts."
-More poorly aged jokes centering around people being fat or ugly.
-Vergil's literally a pussy who's ass you gotta cover for until you have to fight him in the last boss fight.
-Severe lack of stupid bullshit. Every DMC game needs stupid bullshit to be entertaining, and this game is taking itself way too seriously.
-Enemy design had the same issues I had in Bayonetta 3 where all of them look the same except for one small change because someone on the crew didn't want to get creative.
-Normally in DMC games you only get the "here's the plot and what's going to happen" dialogue from the bad guys, but in this game it's every single person every time they open their mouths.
-The environment moving around to stop your way forward was cool in concept, but since the game is so linear it doesn't really encourage creativity with finding alternative ways around. On top of that, the concept of purgatory seemed like an unnecessary barrier because it supposedly keeps Dante and the demons from accidentally or on purpose harming random human bystanders. Yet, their actions have an effect on the environment so shit around the humans are getting destroyed regardless??? People are getting hurt and killed from the collateral damage so why make purgatory a thing at all? The removal or purgatory would've made it more effective by showing how strong Mundus' control was that he could have demons running around chasing Dante, get his little newscaster guy to placate the people, and nothing be done about it.
So yeah. It's a game very much of it's time, especially with having Ninja being the dev team. Had this been any other franchise, almost all of my complaints wouldn't even exist. It being an attempt at being a DMC game, a reboot nonetheless, is what's holding this thing back.
I think the only good thing they managed was explaining why RedGrave looks Like That at the start of DMC3, but that's all.
Fuck Adi Shaknar. Real devil hunters either don't watch the anime or at least pirate it. Dante told me himself.
