Curate, connect, and discover
I absolutely LOVE this theory, and it would explain certain things really well. However, I found a (possible) contradiction. In 55 minutes after Gab died, he just vanished from existence, because abilities disappear after death, and he was an ability, so he literally disappeared. But in the same novel, Dazai also died and didn't disappear. It wasn't "on the brink of death" either, he actually died and his ability disappeared so Yosano could resuscitate him. So that seems to disprove him being an ability singularity? Idk, please correct me if I'm wrong.
With the release of Storm Bringer, Asagiri has given us a lot more insight into the nature of abilities, their limits, how they interact with one another, and the creation of singularities. And although Dazai wasn’t the main focus of the story, it may have revealed a lot more about him than it would seem at first glance. More specifically: that the name of his ability, “No Longer Human”, may be a lot more literal than we previously thought.
