Gallade Facts
-The scientific name for Gallade is "Psychicae manahumanus" which roughly translates to "Psychic fighting human"
-Gallades are shown to be incredibly polite pokemon, bowing to their partners as thanks and looking out for weaker pokemon
-They were popular with Gladiators in ancient Galar, Kalos, and Paldea
-While they can and will eat meat in captivity, wild gallades are herbivores
-Gallades won't fight anyone weaker than them unless the opponent has something that makes them stronger, or gallade has a handicap to make them weaker
-Gallade pair very well with Bisharp, as they both court by shoeing off their blades
-The winged things on the side of gallade's head are actually its ears. Lots of little holes scattered around them make it so they can hear.
-Contrary to popular belief, their bodies aren't smooth or feel like skin. It's actually quite soft (minus the part on their head, which has a more metalic feeling)
-The horn on their chest is where they get their psychic powers from
-While gardevoir can feel others' emotions, gallade can sense others thoughts. They evolved like this because it would be pretty traumatic to know what your opponent is thinking while you're stabbing them. It's also why its horn gets smaller when it mega evolves
-Gallade's wide hips are a leftover from how they were in the past. In ancient times, gallades were a lot more bulkier and fierce looking, ND their hips matched with the rest of their body. But as they evolved over time, the bulkier parts of their bodies disappeared, but their hips stayed the same. (It could also be viewed as the rolled up dress of a gardevoir).
-There was an instance a couple of years ago in Sinnoh where a wild gardevoir and gallade teamed up to stop a rampaging Garchomp
-Gallades are more attached to their trainers than they let on, constantly looking out for them and liking to be by their side a lot
-Due to their appearance (and the literal swords on their elbows), gallades are seen as threatening and intimidating pokemon. But they actually do quite well amongst other people and pokemon
-It's common to see territorial disputes between gallade and sirfetch'd
-While it's obvious when you think about it, the "cape" it gains when mega evolving is actually just flaps of skin
-While this fact isn't just limited to gallade, the ralts line is in the same family as the charcadet line
-They have enough psychic power to loft up their bodies and float like gardevoir, but they run because it's faster (gardevoir legs are skinny and can't extend much)
-While the thing on its head is sharp, biologically, it's more of a fin
-They mostly live in outskirts of urban areas, or forests. Surprisingly, they're known to make homes in tall trees so they can jump out to attack foes
