He was tired of always losing his gun in a fight so he now carries two!!! He trips at crime scenes!!! He calls sexy hotlines bc heās lonely!!! He proudly talks about his porn collection!!! His closest friends are three conspiracy theory nerds (affectionate)!!! He throws pencils at the ceiling!!! He blurts obscure knowledge to throw people off!!! He hates authority figures!!! He cries a lot!!! He loves being held!!! He loves his sister!!!

But holy shit did none of you prepare me for the pathetic wet cat rizz of Fox Mulder. Puppy dog eyes every other scene. He loses every stand off with every other government agent, military op, co-worker he bumps into. Sassy little quips in between getting his ass kicked and the puppy dog eyes. he's deeply traumatized. he has no social life. he never knows whats going on. he's one of the smartest people in any room he's in and knows more than most what's going on.
This guy is just sopping wet vibes, desperate need to believe, and love for Scully. Character of all time.
Fox Mulder won the autism lottery. He made the FBI give him an entire subdivision for his special interest AND someone to infodump to
sheās always just teasing in good faith with a good heart behind it because theyāre friends, and she likes him, and heās a dork and honestly so is she! and heās never really had someone be nice to him like that, heās so used to jokes being at his expense and too sharp and with veiled disdain behind them that itās almost normal. so when Scully messes with him, says things like āmust be an x-fileā in response to his confusion, he visibly stalls.
