Could I get 7 from the kisses list with uhhhhh CHASE AND HENRIK please???
cw(s) for readers: none!! its fluff :’)
Chase wished he was waking up to birds chirping with sunlight draping over him. But instead, what he woke up to was his poor four-month-old daughter was crying her heart out.
He sighed, sitting up in his bed. ‘What time is it?’ He looked at his window for a clue as to what the time was. It had to be early morning at best, as the moon was still up with the stars. ‘Of course, Maxine wanted to be an early bird today,’ He chuckles softly to himself. It wasn’t every day that Maxine woke him up so early. In fact, she slept in a whole lot, just like her dad! Though, he was trying to fix that (purely for her sake.)
He slung his feet over, feeling the cruel wrath of the cold wooden floor. Shivers snuck up on his skin, making him retract his feet for a moment. He slowly places his foot on the floor, wishing he had socks to protect him. He presses on and swiftly walked across the room to his daughter, where the carpet was able to keep his feet safe.
This is when Chase begins to panic. Maxine wasn’t in her crib.
His heart and stomach started to twist with the worst sense of dread. He darts for the window, seeing if maybe he left it open. Much to his surprise, it was shut and locked securely. He immediately turns around to leave the room to further search the house, but he ends up bumping into something- no, someone. Before Chase gets the chance to start thrashing or yelling, they begin to speak.
"Good morning, Chase.“
A painful sigh leaves chest as he covers his fast-beating heart. “Good… Good morning, Henrik."
Now that Chase calmed down, he was able to recognize Henrik’s… er, silhouette. In his defense, he only lived with him for about a month now and rarely saw him in the house, as he was a doctor. Now that he thought about it, he never saw Henrik in other than his work clothes… Well, up until now, at least. A small babble got his attention, making his eyes dart to who Henrik was cradling in his arms. Maxine!
He began to connect all the dots and wanted to cry either out of relief or because he began from cracking under the stress that he had to deal with under the last ten minutes. "Oh, wow- um, did she wake you up?”
Henrik sighs, starting to bounce Maxine in his arms. “Yes. But that’s alright, don’t worry.” He laughs softly. “It, um… It feels nice, to calm down a baby at ungodly hours of the night again.”
Chase smiles awkwardly and nods his head. He didn’t know much of Henrik’s life, but he did know that he got custody of his children every other weekend. “Yeah, I… You kinda scared me there, you know?”
"I thought you heard me come in?“ He frowns at him slightly. "I suppose my footsteps are quiet…”
"Oh, um… I didn’t even hear the door open!“ He laughs nervously, and Henrik chuckled along with him. "Not with all that crying, anyway.”
He nods and looks down at Maxine, then back at him. “I assume you would like to hold the little one?”
Chase nodded quickly, scooping her from Henrik’s arms, careful not to make her upset and go into another fit. He planted a soft kiss on her temple, freezing up when she started to stir…
A sigh of relief escapes him and Henrik when Maxine relaxed again, drifting off in what hopefully would be a deep sleep. Right now, a nice long nap seemed like the best thing since sliced bread to the poor man. He carefully drifts over to her crib and sets her down, draping her blankie over her sleeping body. He carefully began to sneak away from her and back where he stood by Henrik.
"You got it from here?“ His voice came as a gentle whisper.
"Yeah. I sure hope I do, at least.” Chase sighed doubtfully. “Thank you, by the way. You didn’t-”
"It’s fine,“ Henrik interjected. "You’re doing amazing considering… well, your situation.” He rests his hands on Chase’s shoulders. “I barely knew what I was doing when I had my first child! I just think you should be proud of yourself, is what I’m trying to say.”
Chase couldn’t help but smile at his words. It felt nice being told that, especially after the whole… fiasco, from earlier this month. He mumbled an awkward 'thank you,’ and made sure to make it loud enough for him to hear.
"I think I’m going back to bed since you seem fine alone,“ Henrik said. "I only got three hours of shut-eye from the last… two? Two, days. Goodnight, Chase.” He planted a small kiss on his head and left, easy as that. He didn’t bother to question him, as he had found himself aching to curl up under his sheets again.

aNGST 4 with chase
cw(s) for readers: angst!! (obvi)
“Why are you lying to me?”
Chase stood at Marvin’s bedroom doorway, his voice was soft and delicate, balanced by false rationality. It didn’t reflect how he truly felt. Internally, he was being consumed by confusion and betrayal. A fist was curled by his side, shaking with jolts of anger, coupled with a frown.
Marvin was sat on his bed and looked up from his leather-bound book, either ignoring or just completely unaware of how much Chase was shaking now. He couldn’t tell, not while he has that stupid fucking mask on.
“What did you say, Chaser? Didn’t quite catch what you said.”
He flinched at the nickname, his free hand latching onto his other arm, crossing his chest and acting as a flimsy shield for his heart. He closes his eyes and huffs softly. He takes a while to respond again. So long that Marvin got up and abandoned his book and was gently shaking his shoulder and whispering ‘Chase?’ ever so softly in his ear. His eyes snap open and his eyes snap to Marvin’s.
“Why are you lying to me, Marvin?”
His tone was harsh, almost like a growl. It caught the magician off guard- it wasn’t how Chase normally spoke. His hand that rested on Chase’s shoulder slipped down and returned to his side. It seemed that it was his turn to frown.
“I… Chase, why would I ever lie to you?”
‘For so many shitty reasons,’ Chase wanted to say. ‘such as covering him.’
But he bit back his tongue. He wasn’t sure why he stopped himself from off on him, with all things considered. Maybe he just didn’t want to hurt Marvin somehow. It wasn’t his fault, anyway.
But he made himself involved when he decided to cover Jackie. That made him snap.
“I dunno, Marv!” He hissed out lowly. “Maybe so you can cover Jackie’s ass when I asked if something is going on with him and Stacy? Maybe so that I don’t find out he’s sleeping with my wife?” A look of hurt replaced Marvin’s eyes once he said that (well… from what he could see, anyway.) Chase didn’t care, though. Not right now. It was nothing compared to how he was feeling.
“Chase, I-”
“You lied to my fucking face, Marvin! Do you realize that?!” He could feel himself go into hysterics now. Hot tears rolled down his cheek while he let out a broken laugh. “You value your relationship with Jackie more than ours! More than my family!”
Marvin stayed silent. But Chase didn’t care. He didn’t need a response to press on. “You’re a selfish prick, you know that?”
More silence from the magician. Chase turned to the door, leaving Marvin where he stood.
He needed to find Jackie.

send me some asks with these prompts :O? (include characters bls 👊😔) (side note ig?: im mostly familiar with jacks egos, so keep that in mind!!)
I find it easier to make prompt lists so I can write with what I’m inspired by. I’ll probably add to this as I find new prompts I like.
I took these from several prompt lists that I’ve reblogged, so that’s why they may look familiar.
ANGST
“I can’t do anything right.”
“Please don’t cry.”
“Why are you awake right now?”
“Why are you lying to me?”
“Forget it, you’re a fucking asshole.”
“Don’t you ever do that again!”
“Do you even still love me?”
“Nobody’s seen you in days.”
“Why are you awake?”
“I’m worried about you.”
“Can you shut up for once in your life?”
“Holding everything in doesn’t help, you know.”
“If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.”
“Just get home as soon as possible, okay?!”
“I told you not to fall in love with me.”
FLUFF
“Go with me?” “As long as you hold my hand.”
“Is there a reason you’re blushing like that?”
“Have you seen my hoodie?” “Noo.” “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?”
“OH you’re jealous!”
“Can we stay like this forever?”
“Please just kiss me already.”
“I think you might be my soulmate.”
“Sleep over? Please?”
“Are we on a date right now?”
“I think I’m in love with you.”
“Are you flirting with me?” “You finally noticed?”
“Am I your lockscreen?” “You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“I wish we could live together already.”
“They’re so cute when they’re asleep.”
“I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re beautiful.”
RANDOM
“Quit touching me, your feet are cold!”
“Sharing is caring, now give me the hoodie!”
“Did you seriously just get your foot stuck in a toilet?” “Maybe.”
“If I die, I’m haunting you first.”
“But I’ve never told you that before.”
“Stop being grumpy, it’s lame.”
“Can we please stop running? I think I’m dying.”
“Can you please…? Hmmm, I don’t know. Maybe put a shirt on?!”
“You come here often?” “Well, I work here. So I think I’d have to say ‘yes’.”
“Aren’t we supposed to be working?”
“You’re insane,” “You love me,” “Not right now I don’t.”
12. “Give me attention.”
13. “YOU SAID TO BE HONEST STOP HITTING ME!”
14. “Okay, so maybe I didn’t see that coming.”
15. “I’m too sober for this.” “You don’t even drink.” “Maybe I should start.”
16. “You met me yesterday,” “Yes, and I would die for you. Next question,”
17. “I’m telling you. I’m haunted.”
18. “Well, that’s tragic.”
19. “She’s hiding behind the sofa.”
20. “I’d kill for a coffee…literally.”
21. “What do you mean she’s my new partner? She tried to kill me last week!” “Sounds like a you problem.”
22. “Good thing I didn’t ask for your opinion.”
23. “I’m bulletproof…but please, don’t shoot me.”
24. “Did you just hiss at me?”
25. “It’s six o’clock in the morning, you’re not having vodka.”
26. “The diamond in your engagement ring is fake.”
27. “No. Regrets.”
28. “How drunk was I?”
29. “How is my wife more badass than me?”
30. “It’s your turn to make dinner.”
31. “They’re not your kids, back the f*ck off.”
32. “I could punch you right now.”
33. “Welcome back. Now fucking help me.”
34. “I’m not buying ikea furniture again.”
35. “Oh honey, I’d never be jealous of you.”
36. “That was kind of hot.”

“Y’know, it’d be nice to have a friend that’d wait up for me,” Jackie shot a glare at the magician.
“It’d also be nice to have a friend that didn’t take so long to zip up his jacket,” Marvin shot back, rolling his eyes. He couldn’t help but look back at the want-to-be hero and smile, and the other couldn’t help but smile back at him. There was silence shared between them as they walked on. It wasn’t an ‘awkward silence’ per se, but it wasn’t entirely welcomed by either of them. Crunching snow and passing-by cars made it slightly more bearable, however.
After some carefully remembered turns and standing in front of bakery shops window eyeing at all the delicious baked goods, they finally stop at a familiar crosswalk. Jackie had to yank Marvin from his bag so he didn’t go ahead and end up getting hit by a car. He’d never admit it to Jackie’s face, but if it weren’t for him and his close eye, he would have been six feet under a long time ago.
Marvin grunted, a form of ‘thanks, I guess,’ which made Jackie chuckle softly. The magician-to-be glances at the crosswalk timer and goes to press the button, but quickly yanked his hand away once his hand came into contact with the button. Thankfully, he pushed down hard enough so it started working the second time around. He pulled his other hand out and started to rub his hands together, trying so very hard to spark some warmth in his palms. Jackie gave Marvin a look of pity, but he didn’t care. The whole day, Marvin had complained and whined about how he forgot his gloves at home, but he rejected any form of help from his friends (their ‘help’ being offered pairs of gloves and those nifty little hand warmers.) They start to walk across the street after the timer begins and reached the other side. A glove was slapped across the chest, startling Marvin.
“Put it on your left hand, alright?” Jackie huffed. “At least one of them will be covered.”
Marvin nodded and slipped the glove on, the fabric feeling awfully strange with his numb hand. This time, he actually says ‘thank you,’ but Jackie’s reply made his head snap back to look at him.
“No problem, babe.”
