Saying that 😅 pls do keep in mind it’s still an adapted broadway musical, a lot of what i said is both blatant and subtext too... I love it for being both but sometimes it’s really not everyone’s cup of tea.

The point of the story (Wicked) isn’t about their romance or lack thereof, it’s straight up about politics -propaganda, fascism, compliance, resistance and cowardice. It just happened that it takes places amongst two women lives and their tragic character/relationship representing it. Elphaba is an outsider who is being portrayed in a bad light for resisting a fascist regime and glinda is upholding the status quo because it benefits her, they love each other but not their ideologies... it’s fun.
I’m gonna need to make time to watch it then that actually sounds really good
