tfw "popular" fanon becomes so embedded in a fandom & discussions within fandom spaces that people just start treating it as the default and all interactions with others are coloured by this interpretation. have you considered that I actually don't subscribe to this take, which is nowhere in the source material? wait nvm, clearly not.

reminds me of the 'sanemi is illiterate' people like it's only confirmed that after the war he cannot write he can read though and there's no proof that he couldn't write before the war I think he's disabled from losing two fingers so can't write for disability reasons but he could if he had a keyboard or something but a lot of people think he's completely illiterate which is fine but dont treat it like it's canon
