Curate, connect, and discover
I was hanging out with my beloved friend @pokegirl0238 and we eventually started talking about fanart. We're both doing some, but I'm not as skilled or as experienced as she is with drawing.
But never fear! She has given me a few things to keep in mind for the next time I'm drawing something.
Here's a few highlights from her gentle critique:
"It's the face. It's the body. It's the style. It's everything that's wrong with it. It just looks weird."
"It's the Tim Burton cheekbones without any of the fun stylistic choices."
(A minute later)
"At least with Tim Burton there's the fun skeletal proportions. It's just like someone slapped some skin...[unfinished due to laughing too hard]"
"It's very uncanny valley."
I'll make sure I keep these in mind! Thanks bestie!
