“I'm surprised you managed to make it out this far. You didn't fall too many times, did you?” Tyler asked as she sat down next to Inksy. Mario had invited the two of them on a picnic, but of course, ate the food before they even arrived. So they sent him to go get more, and the two girls were left alone. “No, Mario helped me walk. I almost tripped a few times, but I didn't fall.” Inksy responded, sitting on the blanket with her legs out in front of her. Despite having a mutual friend, they didn't really know each other. “So, how did you guys meet?” Tyler asked, not wanting to stay in silence. “Oh, we met at the Hospital. He was in for food poisoning, I think.” Inksy responded, remembering their first interaction. “He seemed pretty nice, and he came up to me and just started talking.” Tyler laughed. “Yeah, that sounds like Mario.” Inksy smiled softly, looking over at Tyler. “What about you? How did you two meet?” Tyler thought about it, then responded, “We met at the showgrounds. Meggy and Tari had found me in a grocery store and brought me there, and he just happened to be there. To be honest, I didn't trust him at first. But the more I got to know him, well…” She smiled, thinking back to all the shenanigans he had pulled her into. “He didn't seem all that bad.” Inksy nodded, as if to agree. “Yeah, he's really nice. He comes over sometimes to make bacon soup with me, even if we always end up ruining it.” Tyler laughed, and Inksy laughed with her. The two sat in a more comfortable silence, just admiring the scenery for a while, before Tyler looked over, and tilted her head. “Hey. You've got a little something in your hair.” Inksy looked at her , confused, and started patting her hair. Tyler shook her head, and reached over, gently plucking it out. “Oh. It's a flower.” Inksy said as Tyler pulled it out, showing it to her. Tyler nodded and then, suddenly, put it back in. “It doesn't look half bad, actually.” She said with a smile, fixing the flower to where it looked like it belonged, instead of just being flown into her hair. Inksy, offered her a soft, tentative smile. “You think so?” Tyler nodded, and both of them turned their attention to Mario, who had finally arrived with food. The trio sat down eating and laughing at Mario’s stupid antics, the girls now a little closer than they were before. At some point, Mario's food had blown away, and of course, Mario ran after it. The girls couldn't help but laugh at him. “Never a dull moment with him, huh?” Inksy asked between giggles. Tyler shook her head, laughing along with her new friend.
“Nope. Never a dull moment.”
