Thinking about how immediately after watching Alex be killed Ben had to leave the island (his home) and everyone who would even partially understand how he’s feeling.

How he spent 3 years (THREE YEARS) presumably without anything to remember her with!!

How the very first thing he did upon crashing into the island was find a picture of the two of them together!!
