what did everyone dress up as for Halloween?
(ps, your art style is so cute :))
Thank you! We’ve been wanting to put the kiddos in more cute outfits, and this is the perfect opportunity!
Charles and Edwin dressed up as ghosts because they love that, according to Edwin’s Daddy, ghosts can decide whether to float, stand on the ground, or fall through the floor. They can travel through mirrors and, even, fly in the sky if they want to! Perfect for two boys who always seem to be in some spot of trouble. Papa, who isn’t an artist like Daddy, made their costumes by cutting holes on some old bedsheets.
Crystal is wearing a magical girl witch costume her Aunties commissioned! It’s designed after one of her favourite magical girls, except with some witchy twists like the broom and the hat, which features another signature eye from her Aunties. Crystal thinks magical witches are better than magical girls anyway.
Niko is a dandelion sprite! Litty and Kingy are part of an extensive line of dolls, and while Niko wouldn’t want more dandelion sprite dolls, she loves dressing up as one. Her tie is from Baba, and Mama picked her outfit with Niko’s help, but Thomas’ Papu helped make her dandelion head.
Thomas is a cat! Papu made his ears, tail, and mittens—matching them carefully to Thomas’ hair colour. His fake fur coat was thrifted and resized so they fit him perfectly. With Papu’s help, Thomas is not only the best, cutest boy, he is also the best, cutest cat! After Meatball, of course.
Monty is dressed as a crow. When Monty pointed at her stuffed crow insistently, Esther bought him a creepy crow mask, made him wear one of her old shirts, and called it a day. You can’t see his face right now, but Monty is so ridiculously happy under that mask.
