Curate, connect, and discover
It was good that his leg was free, but that must've hurt like hell. It would obviously be bad if the villain got a hold of Bakugou again. Rody held onto the other tightly, just like before, and had no intention of letting go this time around. He didn’t want to cause anymore trouble.
The brunette couldn’t help but grin at the sound of the blonde liking his idea. And the way he said it with such aggression and confidence- it’s like he knew they would get out of this mess without a doubt in his mind. It reminded him of Deku. Deku was, ya know, less colorful about it but... they both really had the attitude of good heroes. That they would win no matter what.
Rody was also amazed with how heroes were able to think on their feet. When Bakugou adjusted their position to be away from the attack yet again, Rody couldn't help but think that maybe they would’ve been fine earlier. Maybe Rody shouldn't have let go or done anything for that matter. Geez, trust was hard.
But...
“You’ve got this, Bakugou. I know you know that too.” He gave an encouraging pat. “Kick their ass.”

It figured that he’d be stuck babysitting when a villain attacked. Now he had to get this extra out of harm’s way while taking out said villain. “‘course I got a fuckin’ plan, what kinda stupid-ass question is that?” He did not, in fact, have a plan at the moment, but he was working on one. At the moment, they were hunkered down waiting for a chance to move without getting blasted into pieces by their quirk. At least there weren’t any other civilians in the immediate area he had to worry about.
Flexing his fingers, tiny explosions crackled off in his palms. Their cover wouldn’t hold up forever; it was already starting to wear away under the constant assault. But as easy as it would be to just go out and start fighting them, the place was becoming structurally unsound. His explosions could make it collapse and crush them all--it was lucky that the villain wasn’t doing that already.
Crouching down, he glared over his shoulder at Rody. “Get on and hold on.” It was the best option for now.
Rody’s panic levels were rising as the ground got closer and closer. He was fully prepared to do a tuck and roll, but the preparation was for nothing it seemed. A wave of relief washed over him. Being grabbed so quickly and with such force knocked the wind out of him for a moment, but that was better than whatever damage he might've taken if he hadn't been caught.
"The attack was coming right for us and I panicked! We were in the way- I don't know!" He just didn't want him or Bakugou to get hurt. It was poor thinking in retrospect, but it was hard for Rody to think properly at a time like this.
Speaking of getting hurt, Rody got a clear view of the villain latching onto the hero's leg. He felt his stomach turn at the sight. This wasn't acceptable. Pino flew out of Rody's pocket, flying as fast as she could towards the villain, smacking into his face. The surprise and impact was enough to loosen the villain's hold on the leg, giving Bakugou the opportunity to free himself.
Once the opportunity had passed, Pino retreated back to where they were in a hurry. Rody could tell he was slowing Bakugou down, and that injury definitely wasn't helping his case either. He was trying his best to think up a plan while his mind was in a panic. How the hell did heroes do this?
Although Rody was fully expecting to be told to shut up, he really didn't want any more injuries to occur; he wanted them out of here. He talked lower and more serious this time around. "...Are you sure you’re able to lose this guy? Maybe you can blow something up and cause rubble to fall on him." He had Pino point towards an upcoming cliffside for him since he was currently facing the other way. "Would that work?"

Rody knew fairly well himself that he wouldn't have been able to outrun the villain either. His parkour and running abilities wouldn't do him any good in a situation like this.
His grip tightened the moment they blasted forward. Even if he had prepared himself, the suddenness of the leap managed to catch him by surprise. Rody couldn't help but glance back and look at the damage the villain caused in their previous standing spot.
Holy crap. He shut his eyes tightly as the hero moved back and forth. This would all be over soon. They would get out of here. There was nothing to worry about.
With his sense of sight gone thank to his eyes being closed, Rody had noticed that the villain’s quirk gave the slightest audio cue. At the sound of the quirk being fired again, he couldn’t help but peek back.
The attack was coming quick. Was Bakugou aware of it? Was he going to dodge? Why was it taking longer than the previous times for him to move?
Out of instinct and panic, Rody's mind had decided that there was no other option.
He let go.
He kicked Bakugou away while doing so, making sure that they were both out of the line of fire. Without a doubt, falling from this height was scary, but Rody was hoping that he could cushion his landing well enough with his parkour knowledge.

I knew I shouldn't have asked.
Rody cowered at the vibrations from the incoming attacks that were slowly chipping away at their temporary shelter, moving aside to dodge small debris as it fell. He looked into his coat pocket to find a shaking, but fortunately uninjured, Pino. Rody gave her a little pat to ease her, as if to say that everything would be alright. He had to tell himself that too.
The brunette looked over at Bakugou, giving a slight look of hesitation. He had been carried a lot by Deku, but never by him. Rody took a deep breath in, exhaling his concerns. He trusted that Bakugou knew what he was doing.
“Okay.” He responded more clearly and seriously, as if there was no hesitation just moments before. Rody approached the hero, resting his hands on his shoulders first as to forewarn the following jump. After one more exhale of worries, he leapt onto the other’s back, wrapping his arms and legs around him tightly like he was told. He was careful to not choke the man. He didn’t need to be yelled at for that too.
“Ready when you are.”

“ i'm gonna save your life, asshole. “
“T-Thanks..!” Rody stammered the word out. Pino was currently hidden away on his person. It wasn’t the nicest thing a hero could say, but his actions were appreciated nevertheless. Plus, the first time they met, Rody quickly realized this was just how the blonde acted.
“..You have a plan, right?” He was almost afraid to ask.
